The War on Terror Series:
Todays series is the debut of collaborative work between @CobraOneTwelve & Myself. For this series we are presenting Two views onto the War on Terror, Operation Iraqi Freedom & Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
@CobraOneTwelve video can be found here: • Operation Iraqi Freedo...
The War in Afghanistan was a conflict that took place from 2001 to 2021. It began when the United States and its allies invaded Afghanistan as apart of its global war on terror. The war ended with the insurgents regaining power after a 19 years and 10 months-long insurgency; in conjunction with a dramatic and controversial withdrawal of NATO forces. It was the longest war in United States history, surpassing the Vietnam War (1955-1975) by approximately five months.

Very true
@@ScruffAesthetics true
Yeah that's true
You jarheads were never belong there anyway
Yet another nation who lost in the vast mountains. We tried lads. Rest In Peace to all lost
Yeah it's just like their grandfathers died in the jungles
Thank you Scruffy, I really *needed* this one today.
I think of & miss you fellers every single day. Stay frosty, 2/8
It all made sense when it was happening; our lives were on the line, and there was *NOTHING* more important to us NCOs than bringing our marines home but looking back, my heart breaks. Why were we even there? Why were we fighting in a country most Americans couldn't find on a map? Why did my friends have to die? Why did we have to sacrifice everything for a war that wasn't *FOR* us? Why didn't anybody listen to us or take us seriously? *Why did my friends have to die?*
As someone who grew up in this era well done on this video
As someone who also grew up in this era, thank you

Damn, two 20 yr wars within a couple of decades of each other. Youd think we wouldve learn the first time.
Oddly the justified one, Afghanistan, was lost while the unjustified one, Iraq, was won. It hurts.
@@johnnotrealname8168That is true unfortunately
@BrokenSociety966 Sure yeah, which is why the Americans have an ally in Afghanistan.
One of your best no doubt.
Thanks man, appreciate your constant support :)
Guys imagine the Russian they spend 10 years of war in Afghanistan and then the American spend 20 Years of war and then they just lost another war.
Truely amazing, mate.
nice
20 years? And for what?
I battle with this question. We deployed on behalf of our country but in country we shed our blood for each other.

it's mind boggling you know? 20 years for nothing... probably won't even show up in a text book
If only we one.
So, what they fought for in the end?
