Police investigating aggravated assault during attempted dog adoption

The Tampa Police Department (TPD) is investigating an aggravated assault that happened between two women during an attempted dog adoption on Saturday around noon near the 1900 block of Meadowbrook Avenue. Police said that as the transaction went on, a fight broke out and one of the women pulled out a gun. Police later seized that gun.

Get on the phone or email with the story to every pound or animal rescue facility in the state to report her so she cannot ever adopt an animal again. Seems she is not doing it for the pets welfare.

Pulling a gun on someone is attempted murder, not assault... Rule number one of gun ownership is do not point it at someone you don't want to end...

The only way that makes sense was this lady was the dogs original owner. Couldn’t afford bills and gave the dog up or abandoned it. Now that it’s been in the shelter and made it through all the tests and vet bills and wants to adopt her dog back.
