This is the final part of the documentary trilogy “Offensive”. The first-person combat footage shows the offensive actions of units of the Third Separate Assault Brigade during the summer-autumn phase of the advance of Ukrainian troops in the Bakhmut direction. Andriivka was the final point of the brigade’s offensive in Donetsk region.
After clearing the banks of the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas canal from enemy forces and entrenching in captured positions, the fighters of the brigade are starting a new stage and storming the approaches to the occupied village of Andriivka. Stormers advance from one trench to another. Grazing small arms fire and grenades going in one after another, including thermobaric ones. The occupiers are offered to surrender, but there is no time for long persuasions here, and the russians’ choice is limited - either prisoner or liquidated. “I’ll smoke you out now!”, - one of the fighters comments and continues “pouring” fire.
Thus, through the forest strips, filled with the burrows of the occupiers and fierce battles, the stormers are approaching the settlement and begin the liberation operation.
The total defeat of the enemy’s 72nd omsbr of the russian federation by the forces of the Third Assault Brigade, constant dynamics on the battlefield, the sounds of explosions, shootings and moments when you say goodbye to life, your brothers-in-arms and family. All for the sake of the victorious raising of the Ukrainian flag and the brigade banner over the liberated land. About the high price of the de-occupied territories, and what the fighters are living through at this time - in the documentary film.

For anyone who is a modern war history buff and is older (I am late 30's), you know how ridiculously hard it is to ever find any TRUE combat footage, footage of front line combat. Almost none of it existed... until like the last 5-10 years. It's crazy how we went from true front line footage being pretty hard to find, to wars being broadcast on the internet in first person, in like 5-10 years, after like 100 years of the former.
yh it's crazy although they blurred it out mostly u still see people get killed like around 35:00 mins in watched that 1 guy get shot in the back of the head (Instantly reminded me when i saw a video of Russians saying they gave us airsoft helmets and vests) and then the other guy in the back that they forgot to blur out. It does open your eyes to see what combat is really like and how brutal it really is.

I think the buddy didn't fake surrender. I think there were two dugouts very close together. One guy from one dugout was crawling out (to surrender? and got killed? by the Russian grenade?) and one guy from the other dugout (probably not knowing how close the AFU were) popped out at the same time, tossed grenade and was shot immediately.
After that (lots of video editing so we don't know if it was seconds or minutes later), a second guy from the second dugout (who now realized he was surrounded) surrendered and moved off camera.
I could be wrong though.
But IT seems that those were hard . Azov has a hard enemy. Sometimes they have Luck and sometimes Not. It also depends on what Side has More soldiers
As a father, it's very sad to think about that every one of them is someone's son or daughter and they're killing each other.
Im a first generation American ukranian. Most of my family live on the outskirts of Kiev or inside Kiev. It's heart breaking to see even russians lose thier lives. These people had family's. One of the crazy things about this war is just how close the two sides get to each other in battles; this isn't guys taking pot shots and suppressive fire from 1000 yards away until air support comes in, this is personal and intimate and just absolutely insane
Insane is the right word too.. warfare being a common expression of collective insanity, which is ultimately an externalized form of the division an insane individual experiences within themselves between their conscious and unconscious mind. Two opposing forces reconcile into a whole that's often represented by death.

One of the craziest things about this war is how Zelensky sleeps in a great bed every night, eating the best food every day, travelling around with his wife and the rest of his family while these people sit in trenches losing limbs. His daughter is old enough to be serving with the rest of the 19 year old girls. Doesn't he support the IDF too? well the IDF has 19 year old girls in battle.

it's probably been worse. There is almost no immideate communication, you are in the middle of country, that you've never ever even been familiar too. People there dont even closely speak your language and all you have left are destroyed trenches and cities behind.

The lack of advancement of equipment and different rules of war back in the day, made it Hell on Earth for anyone, anywhere.
WW2 was WAAAY worse, that's the reason it was so horrific. Soldiers now have better communications, better gear, training, not saying they are invencible now but back then all you had was a helmet, a semi-automatic rifle and horrible health / hygiene conditions. The WW2 was a massacre because they threw a bunch of civilians and farmers with guns straight to their death, a lot of people was deployed because it was a conflict at a global scale, a lot of unknown armament was used against you, the strategies were not that optimal, insane amounts of war crimes were committed, civilians killed, torture and horrible stuff overall motivated by extreme ideologies.
To the date we haven't got even close to what WWII was, and I hope we never do. In this case you see soldiers in squads, it's a much smaller scale, imagine the armies that were deployed back then.

Its just so hard to comprehend how bitter someone must be that if they are stuck in a dugout, and have already fought hard and bravely. That they will still do something what is practically suicide. I, probably along with most people here, would surrender immediately when its clear that whatever move you make its your last. But that just shows how different their situation is and how we cant really understand.
Scared of being murdered - or worse - if they surrender. Some will be propaganda imprinted into them from the higher echelons, to get them not to surrender. But a BBC film released a couple of weeks ago (embedded crew in a Ukrainian infantry battalion) called something like "The Enemy in the Forest" shows a few injured/abandoned Russian troops being murdered on camera. Another patrol comes back with 2 Russians who've surrendered and an officer says, straight to camera that if he'd been on the patrol they wouldn't be bringing back any prisoners. Plenty of talk from Ukrainian soldiers about how they don't see the Russians as real people (I'm not joking btw). The unit medic - when asked if she'd treat Russian wounded prisoners eventually says that she guesses she would.

I used to think I was a tough person and that I could deal with war if I needed to but these guys possess a bravery that I don't think I have. This is terrifying to watch much less live
it’s extremely hard to go to war, but when you have friends and comrades you’re fighting with and your family back home or even lost them to Russian air strikes, you have something to fight for. Trust your training and your comrades and fight to your last breath. That’s what it means to be a solider. Bravery is not something you are born with, it’s a mentality that sometimes is forced upon you. These men and women in Ukraine don’t have a choice. Just like you wouldn’t if we were invaded.

It's different when you're in it. The human being is good at adaptation more than anything else it's good at. It becomes particularly easier to get through difficult things, when you're surrounded by people in the same situation. That is why men are able to go to war, because they have comrades. It's also why alcoholics anonymous works. Almost anything is doable so long as you aren't alone in it.

Watched this from my little home in Germany. This was crazy, shocking and horrible to watch. My eyes were glued to the screen the whole video and I was scared watching this stuff. I'm not a fighter and it brings tears to my eyes to know that everyone of these guys have someone out there who loves them. A mother, wife or girl who is crying their eyes out, cause they could'nt come back or a little baby which one maybe never meet their father. War is pure horror.

А это в 3 раза больше всего что есть у врага , а лучше в 6 раз. Тогда это решающее преимущество закончит войну за считанные месяцы.
Но и этого мало, нужно полное эмбарго на основные экспортные товары РФ. Полное! Решающее и без поворотное
Иначе далее война будет в Европе. Далее по миру. Далее всё страшнее и разрушительнее.
