    Hey Josh I went to Russia recently and stayed in a house where the wall was 1 meter thick with triple glazed windows. They were just relying on radiators for heating.
    It was -30c outside and we just had t-shirts on and windows slightly cracked open for fresh air (older home no ventilation system). I guess that's what happens when you have unlimited gas supply lol.

    hi Josh.. thank you for the awesome content and information.. I like a peice of land in my rural community.. it's just on 3 acre.. it used to have a house on it that burnt down.. I'm assuming the concrete slab would count as waste and have to be removed?.. but I feel like this wouldn't be a huge problem and the benefits of building there generally seem to outweigh this issue.. I'm a couple months away from trying to get preapproval but I know exactly what I want and who to build it.. I just need to reduce some high interest debts really is my delay. I want to be able to free up more monthly so I can get the 500k new build.. have preapproval for kianga ora but will have to renew

    Josh what heating and ventilation shall i get? I am planning additional Mitsubishi heatpump(ducted) and their Loosnay ventilation system. Not sure if its worth the cost though. Your thoughts? 😀

      Hey Arun, thats a great system and what we are putting in a few builds now. I looked at doing this but didn't have the roof space and still wanted to move around air from the fire so went for a custom ventilation .

    Hey Josh, Are you filtering the air from the living room ( the duct above the fire place ) before it splits off into different rooms?

    • @nzbuilder
      @nzbuilder  Před 2 lety

      yes it runs through a filter, which reminds me its probably time to clean it :)

    Hey, me again... what's that heat transfer system called that you mentioned about sucking cool air from the south side of the house to cool during summer? Cheers

      hey it was custom designed by Cool Cat, similar to HRV but instead of pulling roof space air into the house it moves warm air from the fire with a fresh air feed built in on the south side of the building

    hi Josh, is it still possible to put these pink insulations in a 1970’s old house instead of insulamax?

    • @nzbuilder
      @nzbuilder  Před 2 lety

      You will have to pull off the interior linings
