Chris Spencer is one of the most grounded researchers out there. Always like when researchers can accept when their methods aren't working and change them accordingly.
Another great episode from STM, this time with Eli. Great insight with three excellent Bigfoot researchers; Shane Corson, Chris Spencer and Rebecca Slick. Always love these episodes and can’t wait for the next one!
Thank you for bringing up the whole barred owl thing!!! FINALLY! It is my belief that more than half of Bigfoot vocals can be attributed to Barred owls. I won't mention the name of the host or the show, but there is a show here on CZcams where the host has been researching for more than 40 plus years, but he regularly has on a guest, a woman from the Northeast, who comes on to play her latest "Bigfoot vocals," and it is 1,000% nothing more than barred owls. She even makes the statement, "This is NOT an owl." And it absolutely IS. Then when I leave a comment about these vocals being nothing more than owls (and also list my professional credentials to back myself up), I am absolutely ignored by the host and/or trashed by other listeners. I have a career centered in wildlife and I have seen these owls make sounds that are so incredibly voluminous and primate-like that it would leave you shocked. Anyway, my point being, that if this show host, who has been researching for more than 40 years (and whose credibility is being trashed via this woman), doesn't know the difference between barred owls and Bigfoot, then imagine all the ordinary people out there who are misconstruing the sounds. This issue needs to be addressed on other outlets, and as much as possible , but THANK YOU for at least doing your part to open up the conversation!!!

Yeah that doesn't surprise me. Bert Kreischer has a funny bit about his Dad thinking that he was having an interaction with an owl across the lake every night but it was just another guy thinking and doing the same thing.
Another great episode! This has been an excellent series. Everyone involved in the OP is doing fantastic work and again, they should be commended for everything they do. And HUGE props to Eli and the STM crew, for creating this excellent series!

To mitigate smell, they need a specific set of clothes they wear only when in the woods, don’t wash them, ever. the danker the better. Don’t wash a couple of days before going in. When There, rub the dirt over yourself. No deodorants, soaps or perfumes.

Loved Rebekah giving the Pileated Woodpecker info. They are our largest woodpecker at 17in rivaling the size of an American Crow. They are mainly out west in the area's you folks due your squatch research. As they prefer old growth forests. However, they are also in Florida as i've seen them there as well. After they have finished excavating a hole it's often used by Screech Owls or squirrels. Where i live we don't get them or so i thought until one day i found one on my suet feeder VERY VERY rare treat for my area in the Northeast. My typical backyard fare is; Downy, Hairy, Red Bellied woodpeckers. Along with our largest resident the Northern or Yellow Shafted Flicker at 13in. Pileated also love ants and like there smaller Flicker cousins out west being the Gilded and Red Shafted. You'll often seen them on the ground boring into old fallen wood logs or directly into the ground in search of ants and grubs.
I have one on my suet cage occasionally. SW MO. Looks positively reptilian.
Has anyone ever thought putting like a running security camera high up in the canopy and have it facing down and outward? Like a camera on the corner of a building or a traffic cam?

As i've said many times before. It's not always all about Sasquatch. As Rebekah in the beginning of the video. Clearly gave a great ecology lesson on trees/plants and there behavior. And that's why i prefer watching these folks. Because you get a great understanding of the wildlife your traversing through. Being in the avian field as i have for the past 30+yrs working hands on with everything from Warblers to Birds of Prey. I appreciate this kind of education for those that are new to forestry wildlife research.

This is a great video, guys. I enjoyed getting to know the team more, but also hearing about their experiences and how the local ecosystem can influence BF research.

The NA Sounds are some of the most interesting and compelling in this field of research. Kudos to those determined individuals that captured them! It's amazing how much more sensitive to smells the wild game are compared to us humans. For example the bobcat and the bear go straight to the cameras, like "what's up bro, I see you".

Barred Owls usually have a straight or varied but similar; "Who cooks for you" to there calls. It's very distinct and if you've spend anytime in a deep forest setting where they are prevalent. You'll get familiar with this call very quickly.

I enjoyed this episode. I have never heard a Barred Owl vocalizing before and, if I had heard this out on a trail, I would have thought something weird was out there but now I know. I also liked the comparison videos!

I mean he cant just claim that no berries on the bushes is sasquatch especially because literally every single herbivore and omnivore within miles is eating those berries and one or two bears can clear an entire berry patch in a couple of visits. Ive seen every blackberry dissapear off a small patch of berry bushes within 24hrs in a year when the berries didnt hit very hard so the patches producing were few and far between.
You're assuming they didn't do any kind of process of elimination off-camera. Bad faith argument on your part.

Maybe you guys should make an arrangement with anthropology or primatology students, make an arrangement with them to employ them after graduation and hopefully have some young, educated people come work for the Olympic project where you can get the trained scientists brought into the fold of Sasquatch investigation and they can help you scientifically. Maybe even keep their names private in case they afraid of ruining their reputations in the scientific field. Just a thought.

The silence of those woods is deafening. I have some PTSD from an experience when I was much younger and have not been able to bring myself to go back out into the woods since. I used to spend every day out hiking through the woods every chance I got. The woods was always so noisy with birds singing and squirrels scurrying and deer making noise and bugs and more. Well, one day I was deep out in the woods and the noisy woods became silent, like in the first part of this video. I immediately went on high alert and then there was a branch snap not far away and I bolted like a scared deer. Never did see what it was, but whatever it was, it was heavy and the forest critters didn't like it. It scared me so badly that I have flashbacks still.
Hey guys. First of all, thanks for a great show, I've seen them all.
I have also been following some of your "colleagues" programs and I have noticed that a couple of them use a Geiger counter and they mention spotting a reaction to the Geiger, around footprints and other tracks they come across on.
So maybe it was a little idea, for future adventurous investigations.
They also talk about Bigfoot possibly being able to move in and out of dimensions, which may be why it's so hard to follow them, as well as not being particularly fond of cameras.😉 Greetings from Steen Hoffmann

I've been hearing a ton of high strangeness coming out from the Ozarks. It sort of seeps out slowly at first, but if you are aware of it and listen to folks it is way more often than I would've imagined.
The Ozark Howler...wife has relatives down in the Missouri hills that swear to seeing and hearing it.
@@OldielocksNmo50 or coming from a Meth Lab...People have run into life and death circumstances believing they were exploring sounds of a Sasquatch or unknown creature only to find themselves sprinting away as gunfire is being sent downrange in their direction.... That is why I would NEVER enter nor do I ever enter any wooded, forest or concrete jungle without having means to defend myself while maintaining situational awareness as much as possible.
Interesting video - especially all the wildlife footage. Although I am sceptical, there are definitely mysteries out there; Just think of all the yeti sightings, like that group who escaped a gulag/P.o.W. camp, who all saw a yeti when fleeing to freedom. No way would a group of so many men running for their lives, make up something like that.

I think the time lapse camera would be more useful set up looking down the roadway where the footprints where found and the huckleberry’s tops where broken,every animal in the area will cross the road regardless to access there food 👍🏻🇦🇺

Sasquatch is not the only one who knows what a trail cam is. Every critter that passes by stops for a portrait.
Why not place those cameras way up high (15-20ft) pointing down the game trails or down the creek beds. That way bears can’t get and smaller animals can’t set off. Set them to record something at 7+feet f height.

The first set of whoops sounded like a person attempting to perform a "whoop"....I would be shocked if those vocals were analyzed and not easily dismissed as human...the recordings played after are very curious (and semi creepy) ....but that's just my opinion...

People thinking they can catch sasquatch on motion cameras is hilarious - they can see IR and will simply walk around it
Remember elk have antlers that can reach 7ft or more and they twist their antlers if they get caught when walking through that brush.

I don’t understand why there are people in every comment section that don’t believe and try to spread negativity, I have never seen one and don’t think I will ever be lucky enough to, but there are days I just can’t stop thinking about these creatures and the amount of stories and research I’ve looked into online. I’m from east coast of Canada, my father is from BC, I live in Alberta and know people in BC. There are perfectly sane and intelligent people involved in research, and that being said it’s not whether I choose to believe stories and sightings, I know when I am hearing the truth. Men will say they’ve spent 50 years in the woods and never heard or saw a thing and they swear this is all just a joke and people are crazy! When on the other hand someone who doesn’t believe can enter an area for the first time in their life and not make it 30 minutes or not make it through the night and never go back again because they feared for their life when they looked into the glowing eyes of a creature that “isn’t real”

I thought everyone ... and I mean everyone ... knew sasquatch are keen about trail cameras ??? They are completely aware of them.
From all the thousands of reports I've heard they can see infrared like spot lights even miles away if the lights strong enough.
Is that why they allways make thierself blurred out?
Do ya think they Can hear the trail camera either functioning or the batteries giving a hum or do they see its heat signature with the nocturnal vision they have

How can you say this? We have no way of knowing what Sasquatch can and can not do. Because they don’t appear on cameras, we jump to the conclusion we know what they can and can not do
Is there any reason as to why they are wood knocking? To make a territorial remark? Or is there something that drops out of the tree when they knock it. Also is there any marks left on the trees that they have knocked, as the sound heard here 50:23 is really loud. Thanks for the amazing video!

could they be pruning the huckleberry trees? Pruning would have a beneficial affect on yield.
To potentially add to the growing body of evidence & to test the theory that the target subjects may graze huckleberry bushes by stripping the berries from branches with their mouths, I'd say that it may be worth a try to collect a suspect branch (as inconspicuously as possible) from several of the huckleberry bushes lining that particular "grazing trail"- being extra sure to observe proper evidence collection, transportation, & storage techniques- & having them tested to see if any DNA evidence can be extracted from them.
I think that exposure of the rough texture of the branching & leafy forms to the soft tissues & saliva within their mouths could provide a great opportunity for collecting multiple DNA samples if they are indeed grazing from them in the manner that's suspected.
It could also provide an opportunity to collect multiple samples that would be quite difficult to explain if their results indicated that the target subject's DNA shares an extremely high percentage in common with human DNA... especially if the percentage is so high that the current testing tech is unable to differentiate or easily confuses the two.
And, how great would it be if it turned out to be a reliable & REPEATABLE method/source for finding target subject DNA samples that could be used in the future & by other researchers & scientists.
Trail cameras aren't the trick. There's something afoot here we're not considering - widely, at least.
There must be millions of game/trail cams across the US. Granted, they're not typically in the _deep_ forest and high mountains.
Perhaps they can see IR, perhaps they sense EM? Perhaps they are so innately tuned and familiar with their environment that they can see/smell/sense and avoid trail cams?
*Drone swarms* are an underutilized (unutilized, really) tool in Sasquatch discovery.
Frankly, I believe it's the only way we will ever actually find one without it finding us first.
Swarms could be utilized by on-site investigators with thermal sensors to literally surround an area with sensors and close that area slowly and methodically.
The drones required would need to be small with enclosed rotors, and guided with a narrow AI assist. So the human pilot can pick a spot and the drones drop through the canopy, swerve through trees, and close in.
It would require a very wealthy and generous benefactor(s) or a huge cooperative effort.
Short of that, or some other major sensor methodology that can be instantaneously mobile, we are chasing ghosts.
Which brings up a caveat some don't like to consider but honestly should be more widely discussed nowadays - perhaps there is a paranormal connection?

It’s obvious that animals can sense those cameras. What is it about the camera that the bears can smell or hear?
Supposedly its the alkaline batteries that smell sweet to bears.
Wouldn't there be slide marks due to being so moist or wet even during the "dry" periods within that area? With the ravines being so steep and Sasquatch being bi-pedal it would impossible for more than 1 to traverse the ravine without leaving not only snapped, broken limbs, twigs but also the paths would have signs of slippage due to the size...
Ive never commented on one of your videos.But a way i cover my scent when i used to go huntiing was use hydrogen peroxide with a non scented soap.Just a thought for the motion cameras that were placed.

You should check out Swan Lake Bigfoot channel. Rob lives in Alberta Canada, and he's recorded over 100 of them on and around his farm with zoomed in still shots of their faces. These guys are blowing it by going way up into the hills, because sasquatches are literally all over our forests nationwide. They keep trying to record what's in front of them rather than what's behind them. Sasquatches will hide while you're facing them, but then peek at you while your back is turned.
And just for the record. I do love STM thoroughly. They are indeed very well done and I do watch. CZcams is definitely to blame.
I think there eyes are sensitive to the IR trail cams that's why it's so hard to get em on cams they really are the apex in their environment

Pls keep an open mind that these creatures just might have some capabilities that we still do not understand. Also , you do know that bears are attracted to plastic smells….especially insulation…..it mimics the smell of ant nest
I have always wondered. "tree breaks" aren't a sign of Sasquatch. Like the natural randomization of nature, there is always a sign of selective values. Ones that seem like what we want it to be and ones that are more natural than we can possibly predict.
