Old friends comes back. I know I'm late to cover No Way Home villains, but better late than never and know that I already have another video planned. That said, let's talk about the star of this movie: Goblin! Personally this goblin with its 2002 version undoubtedly won a special place in my personal ranking, although I am still a huge fan of Spectacular Spiderman Goblin, this is undoubtedly a close second. The madness of this character has not been mitigated in the least and indeed in this film he actually kills someone dear to Peter, this finally show once and for all that it is not Venom or Octopus the archenemy of Spiderman but the one and only Green Goblin!

Willem Defoe is hands down THE live action Green Goblin, he just knows how to play him so well i cant think of another guy doing the Goblin, plus its badass the he agreed to be in No Way Home if he did his own stunts. also that bone chilling laugh
I’ve been waiting for this, this is my favorite live-action villain of all time! I loved this version of Green Goblin ever since I saw the first Spider-Man movie as a child, because of how ruthless, vengeful and entertaining he was. It was nice for him to return recently, and that movie showed why he is way more dangerous than any of the other Spider-Man villains. This video was awesome with the fast paced editing using both of the movies matched to the crazy song, keep up the great work!

Dafoe is tempting me to watch No Way Home. I thought he was going to be a side villain but the fact he is heavily in it has me intrigued.
I’ve heard a lot of people in the past say that Norman’s helmet in the Maguire film was goofy, but I’ve honestly never seen it that way.

This is pure gold. This perfectly Goblin in everyway. The thing that makes him stand out from Spidey's other foes is that Goblin actually does more than hurt Spider-Man. He scars him in more ways than just physically. Goblin even enjoys ravaging in his own evil ways more than the other villains. More than Venom, Kingpin, and others. Not to mention he's put some of them in their own places, showing that he's the top alpha villain for Spider-Man.

When you announce this video I thought it will only be about the NWH version, and I was totally wrong!, very happy to see the old Goblin come back here on the asylum, great job!
Norman is that one villain that can get closer to Peter and deeper under his skin than the actual alien parasite that was fused to his real skin.
Venom’s motivation was vengeance for Peter’s actions against them.
Norman… just does it to fuck with him, and this is why The Green Goblin and other villains like him that are evil for the sake of evil have been and always will be my favorite kind of villain.
No sympathy, no restraint, no illusions of the greater good, no anti-hero crap, no “the villain was right all along and is the secret true hero” shit, just a selfish malevolent man causing chaos and anarchy knowing full well what he’s doing is wrong and not giving a damn reveling in the burning, bleeding, and screaming of the innocent ready to fuck over the hero for no other reason than shits n’ giggles.
A lot of writer’s in recent years try to avoid this type of villain thinking it’ll make the character one dimensional, forgettable, and unlikeable forgetting we are supposed to hate this character on purpose.
P.S. I hope this didn’t come across as too dark. I probably shouldn’t be writing stuff at night when I’m half asleep and not thinking straight.
I Agree. Unlike the other villains, Goblin scars Spidey more. Heck he's even put other villains down in their place like Kingpin, Tombstone, and others showing he's the top villain to destroy Spider-Man.

When Norman smashed the Goblin mask I legit cheered in the theatre. Willem Defoe looks way cooler and creepier without the mask on.

I love that mask, but I think would’ve worked better if it wasn’t attached to that dumb helmet. (I still like the helmet, but it is dumb)

Defoe's Iconic performance as the green goblin is legendary
Probably not what many would expect; but Green Goblin from the Raimi movie is my favourite live action Marvel Villain. He's honestly just got so much connection to Peter and Spider-Man, and his demented goal actually builds off the desperation he felt prior to becoming the Goblin. I find this video, with some of the lyrics especially, match with him to a T. Some of the sheer frustration that he feels towards his enemies, and that same emotion generated to him, are expertly shown. Add a literally explosive intro, and you have yourself one awesome video!
Dafoe's Goblin is more entertaining villain than Norman has ever been in the comics.

I allways find Green Goblin as wierd villain in Marvel he is clearly a S tier villain but it feels like marvel views him more an A tier like M.O.D.O.K, Abomination and Red Skull and not as S tier villain like Loki, Dr Doom and Magneto

This was was Incredible Masterpiece for William Dafoe’s version of Green Goblin. I loved that William Dafoe returned for Spider Man No Way Home Because He is My Third Favorite Actor of all Time. Pandering has many different meanings. To me, I call this pandering because of how much Fiege didn't even bother to respect how much MCU fanboys were committed to making everyone think Tom Holland and MCU Spider-Man was good, and some of those assholes attacked anyone who didn't like him and wrote them off as "Raimi fanboys".
Fiege didn't even try to stay true to their conviction and try to make everyone except his shitty Spider-Man as the one in his universe.
He wanted to pander to Raimi fanboys since they can't shut the hell up about Tobey and the Raimi movies and how Tobey is the "true" Spider-Man.
So yeah, I call it pandering, might not fit your definition but I don't care.
