    Nice review. I have this pen in black and every positive you mention applies to mine as well, including the smooth steel nib. I think it's become a modern icon, classic in its own way as the Lamy 2000. I think it will have a long history as well.

      I hope you are right because I have one in orange. Performs very well.

      I think so as well. It has quickly become a standard in the community and collections of many.

    Great pen. Try the Diplomat Excellence. I prefer it over the Lamy 2000 for a snap-cap in that price range.

      I'll have to give it a go. I've been tempted, but never pulled the trigger since I haven't had a finish of it speak out to me yet.

    I have this pen and I bought it several years ago before the price escalated. It is not a work of art, but it is a work of sturdy, quality craftsmanship. Solid as can be.

    Great review! I love the Aero & the nib is outstanding. I had it in the Orange. Sadly, it was just too heavy for me. My hand would cramp way too soon after I'd start writing. The elox was a better fit & weight for me so that's what I have.

      Thanks, and I glad you found something that works. They're great pens!

      @@thestationerydev Yeah it was such a bummer. I loved everything about it except for that one little hindrance and if I can't write with my pen, there's no point in having it. That's just me though. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The nice thing is the elox has the same awesome nib.

    It reminds me of a revolver bullet cartridge.

    Thanks for the mate...any other gripes? Does the clip rattle?

    • @thestationerydev
      @thestationerydev  Před 8 měsíci +2

      The clip doesn't rattle or anything. It isn't a super firm clip and maybe a little weak in terms of tension comparably, but it is pretty sturdy like the rest of the pen and I haven't had any problems with it.

    I never bought the Aero because I dislike the way it looks uncapped. Somehow really weird and ugly, with the way the section looks in comparison to the rest of the pen’s body and shape.
    I prefer Diplomat’s Excellence A2 pens far more. I have two of them.

      Fair enough, they're not for everyone aesthetically, but still solid in build and performance.

      Don't like the looks of them nearly as much, but that's a personal thing.
