  • In this episode we check out an awesome Bill Stewart fill that uses groupings of 5, Antonio Sanchez also uses it frequently. It's short, easy to learn, modern, and feels great to play. Also, check out this amazingly compact Tama Club Jam Mini...your back will thank you!

Chris do you think bill Stewart plays more or less his signature stick from Zildjian?

Question about the Club Jam Mini, does setting up the snare hanging off the hi-hat stand require a heavier stand, or will a lightweight flat base stand be stable enough?

Timothy, I use a lightweight yamaha single braced hi-hat stand. With that stand there is a little wiggle and I have to position the snare above the hi-hat leg, but for me neither of these is a problem and the system works great for me. That being said, I never use flush base hi-hat stands because there is way to much move and wiggle for me. I would assume that a flat base hi-hat stand holding up this little snare would be very wobbly and not as sturdy as you'd like. Let me know if you try it and it works!
