That whole "Bernard" scene is top tier jokes. This whole movie feels a lot like an updated blaxplotation film, with a heavy dose of comedy. I'd say along with I'm Gonna Get You Sucka, Don't Be A Menace, and the first 2 Scary Movies, this is the best film any of the Wayans have done. Great comedy, some solid action, great performances, "THEE BERNARD!", it all works really well.

I still say the word "Trinkets" and scream "DOCTOR" to this day thanks to this movie. And Jada's whole wardrobe and hairstyle was GIVING. This movie is such a 90's comfort to me.

Growing up, my older brother had this movie on VHS and I watched it EVERY weekend. As an adult, I purchased it on DVD and laughed so hard. I understood the jokes much more.

Peaches is my second favorite movie role from Jada Pinkett (1st Stoney from Set it off, and 3rd Lisa from Girls Trip). She was unserious as hell and loved her some Shame chile.
This movie is definitely top 3 from the Wayans family if I’m keeping it a buck. Still hilarious.

Rewatching this as an adult, it's crazy to me that Jada was never seen as one of the top beauties in the world along side Halley Barry.
Given her rep now days, i'd never happen. But my goodness, her face is so pretty.
And Kenan is such a great action protagonist. I wish he made more of these films in the 90's. One thing that blows my mind is how much younger he looks in this movie compared to "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka"

Keenan Ivory Wayans always played comedian roles but this is one of few movies he played a serious character.

The general narrative back in the '90s was that all the Wayans brothers were fine.
Literally the first thing I thought when it showed kenan was *scratches head* “wait, why he kinda fine?” I never noticed that before!
Right?! Had me rethinking some things 😂
When Jada wasn’t annoying!😩
One thing about Keenan is he gon put his family on! This movie was full of fashion k*llas (Peaches and Angela). And yes, I guessed correctly that with Angela: it’s in the contract! I feel like Peaches and Lena were one in the same (characters that Jada has played with Lena being from A Different World). I need to rewatch this movie because it’s been a while. Also, Rest In Peace to Corwin Hawkins (Wayman) also known as Amazing Grace! I hate that Corwin passed before the movie was released. This was a perfect blend of comedy and action! Peaches chop sueyed Angela’s arse! I agree that Shame and Peaches were unequally yoked. He truly would’ve lived up to his name if he did Peaches dirty after being loyal to him. This would’ve been don’t love a man more than he loves you but in this case, not so much. Great analysis 😊

Keenen & Jada were great but Salli Richardson-Whitfield literally stole the show for me. Without Miss Elisa Maza herself (that's the character she voiced on Disney's Gargoyles (I'm totally a '90s kid at heart)), they would've made the movie suck. Everything the Wayans family had done from In Living Color to White Chicks was pure comedy gold, & I LOVED every single one of them. Also, R.I.P. to Corwin Hawkins (Wayman), who stole every scene he was in! Gone too soon! ❤🕊
When I was about five years old, I had my first dog. She was named Peaches after Jada's character in the movie.
As a kid, I use to hate Mendoza mainly because he was the villain, but now as a adult, he became one of my favorite action movie villains mainly due to his similar charisma to the Joker and Andrew Divoff's performance.
