It's just down to how much Mahomes gets paid, and if it's on the high side, how well they can pick up fresh young talent for cheap. New England had a knack for doing that on top of Tom Brady taking less money and that is a big part of their success.

Exactly, as a 30 year old my extreme Eagles fandom is because of Reid. No matter the personnel or eventual outcome of the season, more often than not our team was fun to watch because of Andy and his scheming capabilities that capitalized his talent. That’s why terrible QBs like Kevin Kolb, Ty Detmer, and AJ Feely got traded for super high draft picks and players in hindsight. They looked good under Reid when they couldn’t for others. So him with top tier talent is almost unstoppable if you’re the defense.

Getting Clark and Walkins stepping up his game is what really gave them that push on both sides of the ball. Plus Williams did great as the first running back and Chris Jones is playing lights out. They were the best team in the NFL this year hands down, the only time they ever suffered was from shooting themselves in the foot. Here's to hoping for another one next year!!! He DID win the big game, though. Ever heard of a guy called Brett Favre, and how he went from an egotistical head case that didn't care about football to a Super Bowl champion? Yup, that was Andy Reid's doing. His West Coast offense philosophy and extensive tenure of winning at BYU got him the Offensive Coordinator job at Green Bay, and he groomed Favre into the Hall of Famer we know and love instead of going the Jeff George route of being a fucking cancer for his whole career. Granted, he hasn't won a Super Bowl as a head coach, but he has one with Green Bay. That's a legacy that can't be taken away.
Trey Magathan we’re talking winning as head coach dude. Not him winning a superbowl as an offensive line and tight end coach. He wasn’t even the QB coach until after they won the SB. Saying he won the big game as a line coach is reaching when he’s not directly in charge of the overall management of the team.
SLaCker I agree, he’s one of the greatest coaches of all time in every measurable statistic. He needs that Super Bowl won though, but hey, he’s got another chance.

I'm not gonna lie, I bashed Mr. Reid due to his role in not getting over the hump and capturing a SB title but he's well respected around the league and part of his short comings wasn't his fault looking back at his career... I admire his courage and dedication to continue Head Coaching in spite of losing his son

Fucking love andy reid. I’m a diehard eagles fan and despite there being many-a eagles fans who still complain about andy’s tenure, i thinks hes amazing as a coordinator and the type of guy the players want to play for.

He had replaced the late Jim Johnson & was shown how to run his version of the 4-3/46 defense,but he decided to go into business for himself & call different stuff that didn't work. Then when he went to Carolina,the defense was vanilla
