I can't believe this!!! I found my dad & myself in the 60's promo and now found a clip with my sister Debbie, she is the little girl at 2:53 getting the pretzel. She would be 4 or 5 depending when this was taken as her birthday is the end of July. Our mom made that dress for her.
That's a great story Wow! Here is a link to the full version of the film. The original was produced in French but we translated it to English: czcams.com/video/h8fMJ_LVdh0/video.html
Wow!!! So cool! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
That's extremely cool...to have seen her pop up on the screen...My brother's were in the movie Woodstock and that was a hoot! One was interviewed while the other is behind him on line to the phones...
Been going to seaside all my life. Growing up in New Providence, north Jersey we would spend the summer with my grandparents on Hamilton Ave.Loved the beach and boardwalk.Casino pier was where the big rides were.Swiss Bob , Zipper ,Himalaya,Sky Diver ,Ect …. The smell of sausage, Pizza is still the same. It’s the ocean and boards that bring you back.
Ah the good ole days ..... Not like this anymore though....
Iiiiiiiiiiiiii, yiiiiii, yiiiiii, yiiiii
Swiss bob.....loved it, they played Great music too, also Won Over 100 albums on the Boards. Had a ball every year😝🎼🎵🎶🌷
Swiss bob. hold on please!
So sad it's no longer as it was - Luved it !
I remember those days, and the memories I will never forget.
Fun town is gone and missed!
I rode that Fun Town train from birth up. I was born in 1967. Sure do miss those old times
Petition to rebuild😤😤
Almost fifty years ago. My summer spot at The Jersey Shore.
Grew up 20 minutes from here. Spent most of my teenage life here...
A Much Better Time !!
A much simpler time and era.
Wrong.
@@3May better than today yes
I wouldn’t say that the 1970’s was “simple”, but it looks like a fun decade to be in.
"Swiss Bob, fastest ride on the boardwalk so hold tight please and enjoy the ride"! I remember it like it was yesterday. Look how thin and classy the young girls looked then!
I remember everything, thank you for sending me this, I saved it.
Dig that crazy music.
She won a Cream album .. i won a few classic albums my self on the boardwalk .Animals by Pink Floyd ,and Rumors by Fleetwood Mac.for only a quarter a spin.
A few of those record wheels had some pretty interesting bootleg albums in their midst. Springsteen bootlegs were everywhere down there. I miss those days man.
I wish I was alive in the 50s and 70s
so many years ago.
Yes, our souls will never forget!
The best of times no doubt 😂
LOVE IT!!!! GREENROSETV!!!! I watched your coverage of the boardwalk fire, I was painting 2 bungalows in Ortley,But didnt go down their that day,It was supposed to rain,Around 2:15 I put my Seaside Park Earthcam on to see if it was raining and I saw smoke coming from the southside of the pier by the Sawmill, I zoomed in and saw alot of smoke so I called my friend who has a summer home down there to tell him,He told me I WAS NUTS, And started laughing until the fire dept showed up, I called him back and told him to put on the news, He wasnt laughing then,VERY SAD!!! I hope they rebuild FunTown Pier and Jack n Bills!!! Anyway YOUR VIDEOS ARE THE BOMB!!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!! Spotswood RICHIE!!!
thank you
I wish hurricane sandy never hit seaside heights
I still don't understand how a hurricane can hit so far up north,,,,
New Jersey and new York never supposed to get those storms,,, what da hell 😖😖😖
@@christopherhoppp8979 I grew up in Seaside Park 1966-79. Started surfing at 7 years old and prayed for hurricanes as a kid so we had waves. We had many hurricanes, Hurricane Belle, Hurricane David etc. Hurricane Sandy was just a 1-100 years intensity category 5+. Hurricanes can come ashore north of NJ/NY and slam into New England. best ones for waves is when they park offshore 200 miles and pump waves without any onshore rain/wind.
The music sounds nice
I'm going to miss going to seaside heights, I use,to go with my family.
I love going to Seaside and Wildwood Crest. I have family live that lived in Point Pleasant. I was 10 years old. And then Sandy game and took my aunt's mother-in-law and father-in-law's house and threw it in the ocean they had nothing after Sandy. But that's true people from New Jersey are strong and they come back stronger
The SKYDIVER on right at 1:56, my favorite ride next the Casino Pier Carousel and the Illions carousel at Funtown Pier (before it was sold and put up to auction 1990).
No fights
No shootings
No crazy teens
No tattoos
No internet
No social medias
No phones
No piercings
No weight gain
No beards
No mustache
No wifi
No suicidal thoughts
No video games
Back then
people looked clean back then.
Nice video
Those babies from the parade are about 50 years old now!!
I didn't like salt water taffy except to look at all the colors. My favorite were the nickle falls and the shooting gallery with the piano player. I loved the sound the number wheels made when they spun around. Tick tick tick tick...tick....tick......
I GREW UP THERE IN THE 60s AND 70s. ...IT WAS A GREAT PLACE ......AMERICA WAS GREAT..... MARUCAS PIZZA WAS THE BEST....ALL GONE NOW.....JUST TROUBLE
Does anyone have footage of the round up?
Is Senator Bernie Sanders doing the voiceover!?
It's sad the new beach and boardwalk is nothing like it was ,I don't like it now
