Casuals don’t realize the Mavs aren’t just Luka dependent now. Watching the Clippers and Thunder series made me realize how important their big rotation is with Lively, Gafford, DJJ, Washington, and Kleber.

Mavs did well against Holmgren overall since their front court is more traditional. If the Wolves had 2 Rudys… that would be a problem but they do not.

@clifftanton8385 that is true. I do hope kyrie does show up because last round he has been real inconsistent. couple of 9 point games. I do expect him to exploit the mike Conley match-up but he will need to show up this round especially because pj and the bigs will have more difficulty scoring than they had with a small ball okc and mediocre frontcourt with clippers. but mavs are definitely an elite team especially since they really improved on defense. I wouldn't be surprised if they actually go to the finals.

If they defend him like Jamal Murray with no double teams and drop coverage in the pick and roll with Ant fighting over the screens then I see him scoring a lot like he did in the first round against the clippers.

I picked Minny to the Western Conference finals before the season started. I thought the way they played Denver last year without Reid and Jaden was the best out of all the teams and they got the rematch this year. I picked them to win the 2nd round against Denver and I think they will beat the Mavs and reach the finals. However, don't be surprised if they lose the first game. The high of beating the champs and then playing a team with a more perimeter-oriented offense takes time to adjust to.
Timberwolves physicality is pure hell. They're winning this series against the Mavs.
