    It's amazing how far the Oliver driveline went. They put an air cooled Deutz engine in front of it, painted it yellow, and called it a Deutz Allis.

    Oh man, this was cool to see. My grandfather owned an Allis Chalmers dealership from just after ww2 all the way into the early 80s, but he would take and store one of every new model year that his dealership would receive. I remember when I was a kid in the 80s he had buildings full of mint tractors, from steel paddle wheel to single piston monsters to a few steam powered. When he got too old to take care of them, he donated all of them to various museums all over Canada, he passed in Sept at 100 years old, tho I did get to keep one which was my favorite as kid. Thanks for showing this, it created great old memories.

    The Cockshutt 1555 is out of a group of about 100 units that were to go to the Vietnam Gov. in late 1970-1971. I have the same with the original red paint from Oliver the green tractors were a repaint

    That was a great video, I will have to watch it again. During the 1970's I worked for a lad who did custom work and I operated many of the tractors that you were just looking at. At the time I did not know how lucky I was. 1750 2wd, 1370 2wd, 1655 4wd, 1955 2wd, 2255 4wd, 2-85 canopy and 2-105 cab model. Later he added a 2-135 and a 2-155. I think my favorite was the 1655 , I would love to have one again, might just happen.

    The green Cockshutt 1555 was likely intended to go to Vietnam (for civilian use.) Those were all stripped down to make for simple servicing . Very rare, pretty valuable. The Cockshutt 1950-T FWA and Cockshutt 1750 FWA (ESPECIALLY that one and I cannot overemphasize it,) are extremely rare and very valuable. I know you can count on 2 hands but believe you can count on one how many Cockshutt 1750 FWAs were built

    That is an amazing collection of Oliver and White tractors if there was anyplace in Wisconsin to be able to help you out with your Oliver they would be it. The moline g 750,850, and 950 were pure Oliver painted yellow and not a lot of them out there. The American series 60 and 80 models were built in the 90's based on old Oliver drivetrains with 4 cylinder Cummins engines and were all built in the USA.

    • @kentscranton3098
      @kentscranton3098 Před rokem +3

      Also on the American series, at the time they were the only tractor under 100hp that was actually built in America, hence the American logos. White also had the 4 different colors in tribute to the heritage companies of the mergers. Cockshut Red, MM yellow, Oliver Green and then the Grey White. they were fantastic tractors for their size.

  • @BIBSTERSrepairshop

    American series was built by white in the late 80s and they made them in each of the colors that became the white brand. Those Minnies like the g550 g650 etc were Oliver’s painted yellow.

    The American series was the last less than 100 hp tractors made in the USA. The brought out castings from the 1650 and 1850 if I understand correctly. And as the have it you could get them in White silver, Cockshut red, Mini yellow or Oliver green. They made a 60 and a 80. Super Awsome collection all the way around.

    The White Americans were some of the last tractors White made. Their smaller tractors had been made by Iseki in Japan, but White decided to move some manufacturing back to the U.S. They used some drive components from the old Oliver 150 & 1650 and put a Cummins diesel in them. Not many made before Agco bought out White, so they are rare.
    My uncles' neighbor ran Olivers and he had a fwd 1650 back in the 60's and 70's. It was quite the tractor. That was in Maine.

    There were not a lot of Oliver tractor in my area but there were a few. The next town over about 40 minutes away had an Oliver dealership that became a White dealership until Agco bought White. I recently bought a Super 77 diesel to use for my PTO generator and as a yard tractor. It been fun to learn about a different brand. I spend a couple hours on it moving equipment around and although it doesn't have power steering it was easy to use for backing equipment in place. Much easier than using the hand clutch on my John Deere 60 and much smaller than the 4020. I'll get everything brought up to stuff and I am sure it will be a reliable tractor. It is very cold blooded though.

    • @mikewithers299
      @mikewithers299 Před 9 měsíci

      Cockshutt and Oliver were under the same parent company, just painted different. Oliver for the US market and Cockshutt for Canada. Mini Mo's were also under that same brand until White bought all of them. Then Agco took over eventually being bought out again. They were at one time different companies but got merged or bought out by White or Oliver. Can't remember exactly, but they all got the same power plants eventually
