Nice to see they are showing up. I have a 13ft whaler and really want to get into my first mahi. I think id have more luck drifting deep with a 25lb block and trolling

Beautiful old school area with lots of character. I'm a retired Miami Beach firefighter/paramedic so right across the bay. Haulover was my main surf spot for decades, was surfing the north side the day the pier burned. Hope the sharks are a bit more forgiving down there, three weeks ago out of Boynton we had a total of nine sails with every one plus a yellowfin sharked - not one fish made it to the boat as water was clear so we had on 30# leader drifting gogs.

Are you in Keystone? Used to walk the canals there in the 60s (yeah, I know) and it was magical, bought a few Hobie surfboards at Challenger Marine on 135th and Biscayne, incredible fishing on drift boats out of Pier 5, now Bayside. It's awesome you're sill enjoying the area, living the dream.
