"I'm allergic to goldfish" That is so unfortunate man...I tend to be more of an animal crackers person, that's what used to be stuffed in my lunchbox back in the early 2000s. Unfortunately they ended up discontinuing those sometime in 2008 after I graduated 5th grade....Sucks but at least goldfish crackers still exist, whereas animal crackers, not so much.

so uh fun fact: there was a full on goldfish central website once upon a time. only have a vague memory of it but viscerally recall anytime you went to the front page there was a flash application that'd say "Welcome to Goldfish Central". and that is baked and flavor blasted into my psyche.
My only vague memory of that website is a music video about Swimmington. I just remember the voice going “E-e-esquire”.

After all these years of seeing those commercials, I somehow never put it together that there's a continuous story with actual lore. I think I have a lot more respect for them now!

You should do a video on the lore of Lucky Charms. I remember their website used to have a whole interactive series of videos and games showing how the mascot character used the different marshmallow shapes for magical abilities. I barely remember any of the story, but it was certainly bizarre. I think there have also been a number of different arcs over the years.

As a non-american there were a solid few months where I thought people just thought it was really funny to say they like eating goldfish and it was like "haha you eat raw pet fish as snacks"
My dad wrote seasons 4 (vacuum arc!) through 7, as well as the when I grew up videos! I can attempt to answer any questions! Vacuum arc was also my favorite (and I think my dad’s too).

I knew for a while that there was a story in the finn and friends universe, but I never watched enough TV to know how long it was on for or even any of the characters. Also I was too young to see the best seasons so that sucks. I think the only one I might have possibly saw, maybe even later than when it aired was the one where Brooke does a magic trick.

They're using a camera app. That's just the button to take a picture. It looks similar to the aperture logo because they both represent the same thing. A camera aperture.

I remember seeing a couple of these ads in the mornings watcing Nick, Cartoon Network, Boomerang (maybe) Hasbro, most mornings before going to school. The goldfish cracker ads are the ONLY ads I appreciate even to this day (and the older pop tart ads). Every ad except the pop tart and goldfish cracker ads I will actually watch.
I'm not sure why but your videos partially remind me of classic game theory (like, 2012, 2013) and it really takes me back, I love your stuff so much

The last episode of the series that I remember is IQ helping Gilbert escape the vacuum cleaner by catapulting him out of the bag. That was exciting to watch as a kid.

Seeing Athena P credited at the end was wonderful. She’s an amazing CZcamsr (and an amazing person in general) and I watched her Goldfish lore video a while back.
Yknow I’ve wondered what these commercials were about as I watched them over the years. Thought about checking out the website one day. Never thought about it being covered on CZcams which is strange because this is exactly the sort of thing to be covered on CZcams.

Half of the Goldfish Crackers fanfiction on AO3 contain sexually explicit content. There are a total of 4 Goldfish Cracker fanfiction on AO3. Brooke seems to be the most popular character. Also one of the summaries for these fics says, and I quote, "there are a bunch of goldfish crackers doing crack in 1945 and uh shit just happens like racism" Well... That certainly is something!
*I've been a long time enjoyer of Goldfish crackers since 2004 and these goldfish commercials have convinced me and entertained me to play thier games online, and I finally got to do that in 2020 because I've never done that before. I also got to watch the full stories of that series.*

I remember watching all those Great Outdoors ads when I was younger and for the record, the viewer input didn't matter. Every single time a new one came out the website had moved on to voting for the next ad after the one that was airing if not the one after *that*.
I remember there were a ton of games on the website that I used to play sometimes. I remember there was some weird sorta-strategy-puzzle game where the level geometry was made out of building blocks or something.

I my whole life have been obsessed with the lore of the media I consume. And nothing intrigued me more then the gold fish commercials. I was so invested in the story. What’s out there? Where will they go? What will they do? I watched the commercials waiting to know and see more of their world. When I saw the video in my feed I had to watch it. After the dream arc I feel off as I grew up and the commercials lost their luster but I do still remember occasionally seeing them on. Thank you for this video!

Was watching this while filling out my InstaCart order this morning and when I heard about dipping the pretzel goldfish in white qeso, I thought I'd give it a try.
I will say that the flavor is alright but the little fish shaped pretzels are ultimately too small for dipping in qeso.
I would recommend normal pretzel sticks over these pretzel Goldfish.
