You know Kevin you’re an outstanding actor and people love you and the show. 12 million seems to be a great offer it would be great if you stayed on for your fans. I am sure your show Horizon will be great but I’m Curious have you ever done anything for your fans? We don’t have a lot of good things going on in this world right now and to look forward to watching the show sure makes a lot of people happy in this miserable world right now. Speaking as one of your fans we hope you reconsider and continue to film and take that 12 million. It sure would make millions of people happy to have one thing to look forward to once a week. There is no controversy. Costner is working on a massive new multi film franchise that he is directing and also starring in so he won’t have time for other projects.

Costner thought the show was to be about him. He would be the beloved character. But it was Rip or Beth. Taylor Sheridan didn’t need Costner putting in his two cents or stating what he would do or not do. Costner was a hired hand. Costner didn’t see it that way. He is a star. He pedaled himself out for a movie deal. He got one. Yellowstone. Then he with his celebrity wants to voice his opinion to Sheridan. Costner is hired to act out the scene before him. He appears on screen when he is summoned. Costner was not in charge, he was hired like any employee. Sheridan is a remarkable man. He has accomplished so much more than Costner. Costner fucked up Yellowstone. Costner thinks to much of himself.
John Dutton doesn't pretend to be a hero and he is always upfront about his intentions. The mindset of the people who see him as a hero is scary. I respect the honesty of the character and his ability to know what the right thing is and is honest about why he won't do the right thing. His priority is the ranch. It surpasses his own personal health and needs and the needs of his family. He has a King mentality and he's all about keeping the kingdom

These people mistake people being blunt with being honest and then consequently begin to trust them without realizing, holding them above genuinely good people with strong good morals
People like that are tired of upholding morals and tend to have a whiff of nihilism
But don’t be scared , just concerned and correct them

1883 was amazing and I only started on Yellowstone after that. It started getting ridiculous after a few seasons.
Thankfully 1923 is around to fill a gap now but YS has well jumped the shark

I love Costner, will keep watching him for sure. haven't seen yellowstone yet(behind a paywall), but I'll probably just watch the seasons he's in and no more. I think people will continue to watch, but for personal reasons(agreeing with the family in the series)

Dude I’ve been hearing this for months. But before they said something about his wife wanting him home with his family more often and not in Utah and Montana where they film. Now it’s rumors with something else.
Quite easily the best show on TV in years.

I wish they'd leave on good terms so that they can come back later - 2, 3, 4 years from now. We still have plenty of back story before we're tired of the Dutton's. But, if they do something terrible to John Dutton, I won't forgive them.

Luke's son is half Indian, as soon as he was born I figured that was how the tribe would end up with the ranch and thus be immune from any future development...or not!
The last couple of seasons have been limping along in the weeds, effectively forgetting the bigger brushstrokes that the series was founded on. It’s has to end in the core issue of the ranch, and with it John, surviving or dying.
So the hot man that Sarah and Jamie are looking to hire could hypothetically take out John Dutton as governor as the exit for Kevin
In the Yellowtone Universe it has become obvious that Taylor Sheridan loves to use suicide to make plot adjustments, it has been in all of his Yellowstone shows. Costner has been telegraphing his intent on a regular basis. If Sheridan or the Production Company can be dishonest and dishonor Kevin Costner, no one in the Yellowstone universe cast in un touchable, that includes Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, Faith Hill and her husband the Country Music Star spouse Tim McGraw, they were clearly expecting their series to be longer than just one season. If they can pull a surprise on Kevin Costner and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill - Sheridan feels secure enough to do this to anyone he pleases. So do not be surprised if a plot device surfaces requiring John Dutton (Kevin Costner) considering suicide. Is that what Jamie Dutton Faced? The suicide option appears very often in Sheridan's writing. If he is not fair to Kevin Costner, no one in the series is untouchable by suicide.

Ok Good for Costner's life, he should not drive this production and show the writing should. Get a replacement please, there are fantastic actors in our world that would love to stand in for him. If he does not want the job or can no longer do it so be it. Stop holding that over it heads, get on with the show please, we the fans love this show. Either this is true Costner is leaving or its a publicity stunt. We'll find out.
They should just kill the character off rather than recast and allow Beth and Rip to take over when the time comes and then end it on as high a note as possible.

I've tried every season to start watching cables primetime heavyweight as you call it ....... Its so boring and such a tough show for me to stay awake watching I don't think I'll ever get through the first season
Wow yea it truly might not be for you then cause to us fans the first few seasons are definitely the best. I mean I love the whole show but I actually started watching it when I caught episode 3 or 4 in season 1 during a marathon and I was instantly hooked. I’m sorry you can’t get into it.

Once Kevin leaves the series, there's not one person my wife and I know who will continue watching the show. If they use suicide again, Noone should support anything related to Yellowstone or spinoff. Especially the way its presented and offers nothing educational about the issue. Just irresponsible. Love the rest, but at some point respect who makes something successful and the audience.

I believe he just doesn't want to stay on a series that is so good but ends terribly (like Game of Thrones) because people will remember the bad more than the good
He isn't leaving you know the word " rumors". They are killing time .... Imagine having to wait a few months for part 2 and don't have anything to say..... (There are series where they had to wait 3 years for the sequel)
