Emery Jones goes a little under the radar because of Heard and Campbell, but he's rapidly becoming the leader of that group and I hope his character and versatility gets him a good NFL career.

I think that Jackson would be the obvious choice on goal line runs. He is a beast.
lets see this team after a few more games and other teams before we starting saying lsu is the best team in the SEC. I am not saying lsu is a good team but we need to have patience and see how everything plays out over the next few games.
Very true I do think they handle their business against Arkansas, but the ole miss and Missouri game are going to tell us who this team is with both of those teams being on the road and probably undefeated

After getting beer thrown on me in Orlando by Florida State fans. I would be first in line for that one. Payback is going to be a BITCH!!!
1:34 UGA was FIFTH in total defense, 50th in PASS defense, mainly because they were impenetrable in the front 7 and forced teams to throw every down. I agree elite offense is great, but elite defense with elite defensive PLAYERS is just as effective, and that’s the mold I hope Kelly goes more towards in the long run.
While those teams mentioned did indeed have elite offenses with elite players, they are the EXTREME exception to the rule, dominant defense will always reign supreme in the SEC and college football, and LSU needs to get back to that standard one way or another.

Diggs, Emery, Williams, Jackson, and Cain that the rotation.
And let's have Daniels in the middle of that rather than the leading rusher. 15 was too many in a game where sacrifice wasn't necessary. I'm sore from watching a few of those hits.

It was a good win but it was against MS. State who has a lot of things they are trying to work through. Sorry Matt, I still can’t shake the FL. St. loss, it was inexcusable in so many ways.
Matt is dissing Georgia based on one half - if he holds LSU to the same standard how can he so quickly pardon our LSU for the 2nd half against FSU?
I’m just looking for a little balance & consistency - e.g. on two of Nabers long catches he had to slow down/drift back for the ball which would have most
likely allowed a top/“FSU standard” CB to break up those plays.
If Daniels keeps playing like he did Saturday, you'll forget all about that FSU loss. I've been very critical of him for his short pass and run only, but he looked like the guy we'd been hearing about all offseason.
@@xLSU0408x Jayden Daniels played good enough to win on his part against Florida State, I wish some other players and coaches put in as much effort as Jayden. It was the COACHES that did not have the players properly prepared and the half time adjustments were no where to be found with LSU scoring one time in the second half. $10 million a year plus incentives, ranked 3 spots above the opponent, and having the preseason #2 ranked Heisman candidate quarterback, I blame the coaches. LSU got the ranking and the recognition and ate that rat poison, every last bite for the Florida State game. I have supported Jayden since day one. I hated to see Myles quit but he knew how young and inexperienced the O line would be, he said he lost interest and was tired of playing. A lot of people realized we needed a QB that could run for his life until we can get some playing experience, with Jayden being able to run at least 21 mph, Coach found his starter. Some people really dogged Jayden and he could have left for the NFL last year but chose to come back to try and help the other QB’s and win a Natty. I promise you the players hate that loss as much or more than me and I hope it doesn’t hurt or penalize LSU in the end. Thanks for seeing the positive and the words of encouragement. However I sure know some older guys I would like to have running bleachers for one hour twice a day and smack them with a financial incentive fine, that would wake them up and keep their full attention. I love LSU and I am extremely competitive and will not stand for losing, it sucks and causes all kinds of negativity. I want the very best for the students and athletes. Like Coach Kelly said, be gentleman off the field, but don’t play like gentleman on the field. Sorry for the rant but for me, loving GOD is number one and loving LSU as number two in my life. 👍😎🏈✌️🇺🇸
FSU exposed our flaws but we are still an amazing team and are improving every week. If we’d had played fsu week 2 or 3 we’d be 3-0 right now. There’s still a long season ahead.
@@emperor___palpatine I agree with you. Losing the last 4 years straight opening season games is ridiculous. LSU could use 2-3 tune up games to start if they were allowed to do so. You can only accomplish so much scrimmaging each other and having to hold back from going full on gets frustrating, tiresome, monotonous, and at times tempers flare and a small scuffle breaks out. I think they will do good, I sure hope they keep focused and win out.

It was a fantastic win while the rest of the SEC looked weak, but LSU has been inconsistent game to game for the past few years, so I'm not declaring dominance yet.

I doubt Emery will ever be a factor. Diggs and Jackson are strong but I like Tre. Cain is a #3 big back and Williams is passable. The other freshman will likely nor see action. But what is up with Anderson??
