The Subnautica games are a series of open-world underwater survival games developed and published by Unknown Worlds Entertainment.
Set on the fictional Planet 4546B, the original Subnautica follows the story of Ryley Robinson, the only survivor of the crash of the Aurora, as he tries to survive on the alien planet, investigate the crash, and return home.
Subnautica: Below Zero takes place two years after the first game. Robin Ayou travels to 4546B to learn the true fate of her sister and crash-lands in the icy Sector Zero.
Both Subnautica and Below Zero are available on Windows and Mac (through Steam or Epic Games, or Microsoft for Windows only), PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch.

You've got a scanner! That's some progress right there!
Anyway, here's another tip: Always carefully browse through the available recipes, you never know if you'll see something useful AND obtainable. For example, you could've easily crafted titanium out of something you often passed by during the video.

I always used the bottom hatch to leave the pod! Don’t forget you have a locker in the pod to store materials. Glad you didn’t miss the Aurora Its pretty spectacular!
Leviathan is a size category of animal in that universe. Those big guys with the barnacles are Leviathan class.
The computer told you that planet 4546B "May support leviathan class predators". That's a hypothesis, not proof... but you should probably keep an eye out, just in case.

heres a tip about that blue thing you saw in the right corner, that is a distress call, when you return to your base you can click the radio you can get a distress call which will give you blueprints and messages about where and or what happened. hope this helps!

I've seen whole playthroughs of people never discovering the barnacles on the reefbacks, then this laddie finds them before he realizes there's other ways to find those same resources xD
Oh, another tip that came to mind while watching this video is to always have free hands. I'm 100% convinced (and I'm sure I'm correct xD) that you swim slower when you have something in your hands. Also obscures less of your screen.

Pro Tip: if you don't absolutely need something for a crafting recipe *right now* , collecting a bunch of it is only going to bog you down in the early game.

I play subnautica A LOT, so my tips are very usefull.
1: building a base is very good for start, you need more storage. Just craft habbitat builder and build X compartment, its best for start
2: Big ship wrecks have fragments of seaglides, beacons, grav traps. Scan them and you will be able to craft them.. wont say where exactly to find them, search by yourself.
3: Scan outcorps to see what they contain.you can read it in PDA's databank.
4: i hope i dont give you any spoilers
5: When you complete the game, play hardcore. Honestly, subnautica is easy for me. When you die in survival mode, you lose only materials. But at hardcore you are scared of dying, also, harder means better!
6: you definitly dont need full inventory of CRASHFISH EGGS AND MUSHROOMS
7: to get some blueprints, you have to pick up some objects. For example, to get fiber mesh you should cut some creepvine

Rare materials can be found in outcrops found in deeper parts of the sea
When you reach 0 oxygen you still have around 10 seconds to reach the surface whilst you screen blacks out
You should make a better oxgen tank and a rebreather. Both of them are not too hard to make

Ship scrap ( 18:27 on bottom of screen) pick it up and go to fabricator, and find the titanium option
There are also different ways to get titanium but imo this one is easiest one

@@JaySwayGaming It can be overwhelming at first and if you're anything like me when I get overwhelmed I can't focus as good. Don't worry if you miss something and don't worry if something doesn't click right away. The game eventually makes you find what you missed in able to progress. I know you're a dozen or so videos in, but if you haven't been reading or in my case RETAINING what I read. Spend some time to go back and read things. Every bit of information you read gives you SOMETHING that you need to understand what you're doing, even if it's small.
@dergillz yeah that’s EXACTLY how I am. But I just finished Stranded Deep, and now that I’m done with that, I have more time to go back and look for things in Subnautica I might have missed, reread data entries, basically just give things more time and space to “click” without the worry of putting on a performance

Scan the big fish that bit you from the bottom that will solve your titanium problem.
Because metal craps can be recycled to make titanium
Don't be afraid to go into caves if you think you have less oxygen find a way to increase oxygen.
You think reading stuff will make the gameplay boring but no actually it will enhance it because you will know everything that's happening around you .I just want you to read all of your data bank on camera ( what your ship made for is given there ) information about your lifepod which is less important what is important is that after you repaired your lifepod it ran a scan of planet which you haven't read properly but what you did read in scan was this planet support Huge organisms too there could bigger and scary things in this game who knows what lies the depth. you can see your recipe on you PDA blueprint section so don't have to come back to lifepod to see the ingredients you will need .
If you want maximum enjoyment out of this game treat it as a role play you are actually stuck on this planet and your PDA is all the wiki you will have and you have to get your hands on all the tech you can possibly make. This is just lil advice I am just telling you about the stuff you already have . Man cannot wait for the next episode because you will start scanning stuff and most importantly you got a radio massage that will change your whole perspective of this game. As the story progresses of what are you? and how will you thrive? and what actually happened ?

okay for some reason your graphics look bleached. i.e. your color saturation is very low. did you raise the gamma up too high? or lower the saturation? it's the same on your other games too so I guess it's in your graphics card settings.
Ok like on my stranded deep videos, the sand is ultra bright. Is that what you mean? I have no idea how to correct that
@@JaySwayGamingare you using an nvidia graphics card or radeon? those settings should be in your control panel app for the video card.
Was gonna say this. He should check his game options and turn on a different mode like filmic and see if it helps.
I think I figured it out. It was really starting to bother me after you mentioned it, especially on my Stranded Deep videos. The sand would be ultra bright. Turns out it was my OBS settings. Thanks for pointing this out
