  • From Flaming Gorge Dam to Split Mountain in 9 days. The high volume release at night gave us great water levels through the Gates of Lodore, The Yampa was dumping around 6k and gave us great water levels through Whirlpool Canyon. Sunny warm May temps with a gusty windstorm and a blizzard to keep us on our toes

This is a part of the state I need to visit. Wow that's beautiful. Some really striking canyons. Beautiful buckled rock formations.

Beautiful clean lines through all of the big stuff in the Lodore section. Rowing on Hell's was pretty as a picture.

Great vid. Thanks for not adding music. Nice to just hear the river. Going GOL in July. Did the person in the ducky run all rapids? I'm wondering about the spice level in HH acre and triplet in the duck.

@@Raftingwhenicam awesome. did she paddle the same lines as the rafts? Hearing mixed things about the high water - either yeehaw or yikes!

I also like to hear the sound of the river, not some hokey "music" clanging and banging away. Same sounds Powell and company heard when they went down the river.

  • @Tamil_family_in_Australia

      Green River in Utah.

Green River. Lodore was the name Powell and company gave to that section of the river on the expedition (2nd) of 1871?
