      I second this. The title is very misleading, the topic is generally talking about Sunstick, why does BOJ have to be the spotlight of the title when they could just say “Sunstick in general” without mentioning a specific product? lol

    I love using it! I only use it to reapply when I’m in the sun all day. I especially love BOJ sun stick because it’s mattifying.
    Even if you’re not getting the full 50 spf, you’re still getting protection. Also it’s well known that a 30 spf is better for you to use. So it’s okay if you’re not getting the full 50 spf.

      @miggs80 Před 8 měsíci

      You’re still not getting the protection needed with the stick sunscreen. On the face alone you need two full finger lengths worth of normal sunscreen to be considered protected. With the stick every part of your face will need 8 swipes. With 8 swipes not only will your pores be clogged but you’ll end up looking really shiny which defeats the purpose of having a matte sun stick.

    I bought it already knowing of those issues, because I live in Berlin, sun is something kinda rare in here, so, not achieving the 50 FPS for my naturally tanned skin is not a problem, I think the Stick is a very good solution for cloudy days (which is 70% percent of the year here) for going out in heavy sun for sure we need something with high coverage. But for me, doing the 4 swipes per area + spreading with my fingers at the end to get the missing spots works fine for the conditions I've mentioned before :D I'm still looking for a good liquid one with so good mattifying effect tho!

    • @DibasQuest
      @DibasQuest  Před 11 měsíci +4

      I am also using the sunstick and SPF compact for that extra amount of protection. Cause... why not? 👀
      As most of the UV filters are oil soluble, mattifying sunscreen is rare. If I do find any, will definitely share ☺️

    1--But lab muffin did make it clear in her another video that sticks are great for your reapplication.Then 4-5 swipes per area will be enough.
    2-- 12 pounds for 18 grams will last you for at least 3-4 months but 50 ml tube will last only 15-20 days if you apply reapply regularly.

    • @DibasQuest
      @DibasQuest  Před rokem +2

      1. I also said it's very convenient for reapplication but I don't think Michelle ever said 4 -pass is Enough. Could you please share the link? It'd help me explain better.
      2. We use 1/4 spoon amount sunscreen for reapplication too. So I personally would never feel comfortable using such a less amount or recommend anyone else, unless, of course, the amount of time I spend outside is very short. But everyone has their own preference so I won't dictate others either.
      3. Again that's only because we are not applying enough.

    I don’t use sun stick on my face not only because of the reason you said in this video, I also find it really yucky to rub the stick all over my face when my face is dirty. I do however use sun stick around my eyes due to it not moving as much compared to lotions, so it doesn’t go into my eyes. I also use it on the back of my hands and back of my feet. The sticks are just too convenient for these areas.

    I bought sun stick only for reapplication over make up. So i basically using a normal sunscreen every morning. I use sunscreen with chemichal filters not physical that means it can last you all day if there is no active sun. For city and office job it's just enough. Basically i use stick sunscreen just to touch up chemical sunscreen i put in the morning and for this purpose it's tottaly fine.

    • @DibasQuest

      Sun Sticks are great for reapplication. However, I couldn't get the point that chemical filters last all day without active sun 🤔

    • @user-pk4ib2br1l
      @user-pk4ib2br1l Před 3 měsíci

      @@DibasQuest yeah, physical filters simply reflecting light when chemical filters absorb light and turn it into heat. There are pros and cons for chemical sunscreen. Pros is that it lasts longer (you don't need to reapply it every 2-3 hours if there is no active sun) due to the new generation of longlasting water/sweat proof components. Cons is chemichal filters are more likely to cause allergic reaction and breakouts (again, because it's complex chemical compounds). Of course you need to reapply good amount of sunscreen every 2-3 hours if there is active sun or for some outdoor activities but there is no need if you only go to work and for groceries after. And of course we are talking about places where sun does not burn 365 days a year

    i watched the video… from beginning to end. and none of the cons you shared were particular to the BOJ sunscreen stick. u shared its positives and then shared the negatives of sunscreen sticks in general such as
    1. being hard to reach certain areas
    2. needing 8 swipes for full coverage
    these cons u mentioned were for sunscreen sticks in general and u said nothing particularly negative about the BOJ sunscreen specifically. hence u should remove their name from ur title because this is clickbait and almost plain defamation of their product just for views and clicks

    Dermatologist Dr Jenny Lin said four full passes on every part of your face is equal to what you would put on in sunscreen. I wish I had the video link saved, but it is in one of her recommendation videos. She also showed this under the light that shows whether you have the appropriate coverage. It’s really not meant to be used on its own but as coverage later in the day or over Makeup.

    • @DibasQuest
      @DibasQuest  Před 3 měsíci

      I think I've already watched that video.
      The UV camera only identifies the coverage, not the protection. As in, for normal sunscreen we need 2.5mg per square centimetres of our face to provide the proper sun protection not coverage. As we can get coverage with less product.
      There are still so many theories and confusion about sun stick because it's a new product.
      I really hope sunstick will be proven to provide proper protection. It will make our life much easier 💓
