    Thanks Keith, fantastic shot of the bittern . I’ve never seen one before , don’t think they get this far north. Not seen a green woodpecker for years. Brilliant. Stay well, all the best. 👍📷😎

      Thanks Rob. Very interesting birds the Bittern, quite prehistoric looking. Plenty of Green Woodpeckers around here. Stay safe mate.

    Great Assortment of Birds. Love the Bittern and woodpecker shot's and good to see the quality now of the Pictures as you are getting to know the new Camera. Been back to Lackford Lake now a few time thank you for letting us now about that place lot's of Golden eye are about at the moment if your interested.

      Thanks Paul, the Woodpecker behaviour was very strange. Really love the R5 especially now paired with the RF 100-500. Good to hear you are getting stuff at Lackford, not had the chance to get back there again. Cheers Keith

    A nice bit of variety there Keith.
    The curlew, GWE & obviously Bittern are great birds to see up close, & as you know Kingfishers will either put on a real show or you'll bet fleeting glimpses of them.
    Looks like you managed to dodge the heavy showers between hide visits too, which is a bonus.
    Another enjoyable watch mate, thanks for sharing.
    Keep on keeping on!
    Best
    Nick

    Yes, I did enjoy your video. The shot of the bittern was excellent, but the big surprise was how beautifully the little grebe photographed. I liked the aspect ratio you used for your crops, especially the ones that looked like they were about 9x16. I've had some good success with that size when I find an image that fits. Looking forward to your next post.

    • @KGsPhotography
      @KGsPhotography  Před rokem

      Thanks Clifton. Yes great to get close up with the Little Grebe. The aspect ratio thing is interesting. I tend to like 16 x 9 as it fits well with CZcams but also I find a lot of images fit it well anyway. I think I read somewhere that as humans we see things in a 16 x 9 ratio generally but would have to look to confirm that. Cheers Keith

    Fantastic video Keith. And just to prove my video wrong you take a shot I would definitely stick on my wall! I think you'll struggle to get a better bittern in flight shot than that mate. Cracking shots mate, I suppose my only consolation is you hadn't gone there to photograph Bittern!!👍👍👍👍

    Hi Keith wow you got some awesome images in this one and although the Bittern images were fantastic that kingfisher shot skimming the water with its reflection was outstanding for me and there you was thinking you might not get anything in that sequence ( I think you better check your footwear lol ). Until next time take care and stay safe my friend.

    Hi Keith,
    Great Video, looks like you had a really good day. Plenty of variety and I do like your Kingfisher shots, (anything to do with a Kingfisher I love).
    Rutland, it's just up the road from me. I've visited a few times many years ago, but never done any photography there. That was before the Osprey program started, which many go to when it's breeding season. It's a long way round the reservoir, some 23 miles I think. Anyway, some great shots Keith...🙂👍🏻👍🏻

      @KGsPhotography  Před rokem +1

      Thanks Eddie, I know what you mean about Kingfishers. It is a huge place and that can make it difficult sometimes but I think it is about picking the correct hides. Cheers Keith

    Such great shots of that Curlew! And the Kestrel and Red Kite - super!
    Brilliant shots of the Bittern mate - never ever seen one!!
    Ha that Kingfisher - always see them when it’s too late as they flash across in front of you! 😃
    And lovely shots and film of the Dabchicks and Egrets too👍
    And not seen that Woodpecker behaviour before.
