Yep. I have been working on some cue loops for the denon and it is a great way to play music everyone else plays but add your flare to it. Use the break effects for one the cue loops as well to change it up

Is it better to have a good mixing technique or being able to scratch ? My mixing is pretty cool but not as good as you guys. Lol. My scratching ability is weak, I practice as much as I can. To be honest , I’m really not into the scratching ..what’s better ? Thx guys
Mixing over scratching. Something to always remember is people can’t really dance to scratching but they can to a strong confident DJ mixing and working the dance floor. Scratching is a tool just like looping or hot cues or beat jump. Mixing is a necessary skill. Scratching will happen over time. We are launching a dedicated scratching course in March which may be worth keeping an eye out for if you’re looking to improve those skills.
I gotta a problem, on my desk i need to hit shift + Roll to Access to "saved loops", i Know how to load them (on virtual desk) but i when i want to play them with the pad, it doesn't work , do you Know what's going on ? Thanks youu

I'm coming from Traktor where you could save cues as loops of any count. Is there any similar way to save and recall loops in Serato?
I'm used to DJuced (Hercules software) and starting with Serato and I'm wondering the same thing, how can I save loops as hot cues?😊

I would Love to know if it's possible to auto loop backwards a song inplay on serato DJ just like in virtual DJ. In serato DJ when you press the auto loop buttons it loops a head as in the part of asong that hasn't played yet. Is there a way of making the loops capture the immediate or the just played section of the song. Without doing it manually. I don't know if U'll get me. Thanks

It's just like cue looping only that this time the are no set cue points and you would like to randomly .

When mixing any tracks together, how long should I let the song play before switching to the next track?

Fully depends on the track, where you’re mixing from and into. If you’re doing this technique with the cue loop and some vocals over instrumental try to keep it to at least a 16 Bar phrase before heading into the next track.
If you’re just just mixing the intro of one track into another then blend them up until the first break or even first drop. Like I said all depends on the tracks. Hope that helps.

How do I activate cue loop mode in Serato DJ Pro on the DDJ SX? Shift and Hot Cue doesn't seem to work.

I’m 14 and I’m getting a MacBook Air in the summer for school but I’m also downloading serato for my free time. But I have a question, when I’m using serato dj how would I want to find a song I can’t find is there a way to find it in CZcams?
With Serato you have to download all your music separately and then import it into the software. There is no bridge yet to link something like Spotify into Serato.

It depends which Numark. The NS6II and NV2 will work for example. Mixtrack probably won’t.

+Jerrod Myrick lol same issues? im a pc guy and always will be, not a matter of cost/affordability rather than preference, i hate the fact that a company would limit you and give you half ass products that you have to buy multiple adapters and cant upgrade like apple. i like to have all the freedom and flexibility that windows offers plus the ability to upgrade my shit as i please, with that being said, serato video for windows, as is no secret, is garbage i have an 8gb ram nvidia geforce laptop that is supposed to run serato video smoothly and it doesnt...i close all background unnnecessary processes and set my computer to high performance , internet off, i exclusively use my computer to dj only, and it crashes every now and again...and certain files it wont play it will mark as corrupted ..when virtual dj and rekordbox plays them flawlessly,
Hey guys. Sorry to bother once again lol but can you guys explain the parameter button a little more? Thx guys
The parameter button changes certain settings within the different pad modes. In cue loop mode it changes the length of the actual loop you’re going to activate on that cue point.
If you press the minus it will chop the loop in half and half again and the plus will double the length. Does that make sense?

Get a basic controller, try pioneer ddj sb2 or 3

Yeah start super slow with just one element of the technique. Then gradually speed it up and make it more complicated.
