I very much appreciate you taking the time to make this video and in no way am complaining, but for those of us who are learning how to use this program from scratch and not having any clue where to start, it would be extremely helpful if when you clicked on the screen to make changes as you explain, you stipulate where you are clicking by first, slowing down when you move your mouse to where you are going to click and second possibly moving your mouse in a circular motion in the area that you are clicking on or pertaining to prior to clicking on the button or whatever you are clicking or dragging. It's very hard to follow, because the mouse pointer is very small in the video and a lot of things such as all the icons along the bottom of the screen (start, time remaining, settiings etc) tend to cover up where you are clicking. It also doesn't help when I expand the video to full screen, because the very top of the screen cuts off... I would imagine trying to teach at the beginner level is challenging to you, but I honestly spent more time rewinding the video over and over again to find where you were pointing your mouse or clicking. Once again, thank you for taking the time.

Yeah it can be quite difficult if you lose the cursor , I too find myself looking like a madman trying to see where he was clicking or adjusting some things!!

Click the gear symbol at the bottom right of the CZcams window and select playback speed, you can slow it down. Click where it says "normal" and then choose your speed.

Thanks Andrew. I watched almost every video of yours and still did not have a in depth knowledge of how Ableton works. This gave me a good overview of what Ableton is doing and i am considering to maybe change in the future, because FL Studio is giving me some trouble lately. Keep up the good work!

I always sooo enjoy your content. I needed a refresher course so I watched this video. I am using INTRO instead of LITE but it is close enough. I was wondering if you ever have a problem with ableton dropping your configuration settings for Novation Launchkey? I had to completely reset my version and even then I had to go into preferences and turn on the first midi selection manually because it was off. I find that part of ableton very confusing and hope to see you do a video on it. Thanks again!!

Might be a dumb question, but I see you have a lot of space in your entire Ableton window compared to mine. What resolution is your monitor? Or is there a way to zoom the entire application to make it smaller? I am running a 1920x1080 monitor and with a Midi clip/instrument loaded I can only see four tracks and it is very full. Would like mine to look similar to yours.

OMG this softwqre looks as dull as dish water and yet it is so popular. Its such a departure from cubase and sonar etc which have a much more logical layout. Still I mgonna keep on giving it a try and see if it grows on me..maybe I am missing something that all the users know but I dont. is it just me but I find the actual look of the interface horrendous and lack lustre. Thanks for doing the tutorial.it all helps
