How to record Audio into Ableton - czcams.com/video/rSrHjL9Gp-U/video.html
You are awesome. Thank you!
I very much appreciate you taking the time to make this video and in no way am complaining, but for those of us who are learning how to use this program from scratch and not having any clue where to start, it would be extremely helpful if when you clicked on the screen to make changes as you explain, you stipulate where you are clicking by first, slowing down when you move your mouse to where you are going to click and second possibly moving your mouse in a circular motion in the area that you are clicking on or pertaining to prior to clicking on the button or whatever you are clicking or dragging. It's very hard to follow, because the mouse pointer is very small in the video and a lot of things such as all the icons along the bottom of the screen (start, time remaining, settiings etc) tend to cover up where you are clicking. It also doesn't help when I expand the video to full screen, because the very top of the screen cuts off... I would imagine trying to teach at the beginner level is challenging to you, but I honestly spent more time rewinding the video over and over again to find where you were pointing your mouse or clicking. Once again, thank you for taking the time.
Yeah it can be quite difficult if you lose the cursor , I too find myself looking like a madman trying to see where he was clicking or adjusting some things!!
Click the gear symbol at the bottom right of the CZcams window and select playback speed, you can slow it down. Click where it says "normal" and then choose your speed.
I’m about to dive in. Thanks mate 👍🏻🎹
I'm a beginner to the world of everything music production related and I can't thank you enough for making this video. As a complete novice it has helped me a lot get started with the basics as well as stay motivated.
This was sooo helpful. Big thanks and looks forward to the next ones! 👌
Really helpfull! Looking forward to your other video's, thanks for sharing this free knowledge with us
this is the video I was waiting for. I really appreciate your good work, my friend. Already subscribed!!
Thanks Andrew. I watched almost every video of yours and still did not have a in depth knowledge of how Ableton works. This gave me a good overview of what Ableton is doing and i am considering to maybe change in the future, because FL Studio is giving me some trouble lately. Keep up the good work!
Confusing comment
This was the video what I had been looking for. Thanks for a great intro!
this is so helpful! thank you!
thank you so much for this video. this channel was exactly what I needed. Just got a mini pad and I just tried to jump in and start using it with close to no knowledge on ableton. now that I understand the basic functions I feel like I can actually get started, thanks to you. do you have a video on how to use midi controllers with ableton 10 lite? because thats my biggest issue right now
This video was great help thank you!
Thanks for the intro. so helpful!
Great explanation. Thanks
great introduction for starters! =D
Thx dude! Bought a launchpad for my son and this helped out a bunch
Thank You. Very helpful!
Very useful mate thanks!!
Fantastic! Thank-you.
Great stuff dude
I always sooo enjoy your content. I needed a refresher course so I watched this video. I am using INTRO instead of LITE but it is close enough. I was wondering if you ever have a problem with ableton dropping your configuration settings for Novation Launchkey? I had to completely reset my version and even then I had to go into preferences and turn on the first midi selection manually because it was off. I find that part of ableton very confusing and hope to see you do a video on it. Thanks again!!
very good - thanks buddy
Thanks great video! More lite videos to come? Would your other videos help if I only have lite lite or no?
"Crunchy Alien Sounding Dude". You've just found the name of your next EP.
Really glad I found your channel. Very informative. I have a question: will abetting lite have the link function? I've been trying to get it to work but no luck.
Nice on brotha!
Awesome
Just got abelton Live Lite now to the hard decision what midi controller or groove box . I am a sampled based producer but hopefully something catches my attentions cheers.
Dude sick TOOL poster!
God.. You helped me so much
thank you for talking to me like a toddler, i needed that bcuz im a dummy dum. lol
Great handy video! Tx! Is there any way in Live Lite to import a midi song (multitrack) , mute de lead voice track, play the other tracks while playing live the voice track using vsti (plugins)?
As a Newbie, I was looking for an easy way to understand how to CREATE MUSIC, but music wasn't even mentioned. I'll try your other tutorials and hopefully learn SOMETHING I can use.
exelent... please more example.......!!! thanks
Might be a dumb question, but I see you have a lot of space in your entire Ableton window compared to mine. What resolution is your monitor? Or is there a way to zoom the entire application to make it smaller? I am running a 1920x1080 monitor and with a Midi clip/instrument loaded I can only see four tracks and it is very full. Would like mine to look similar to yours.
Thanks
Man you are Awesome!, at helping me understand, what the hell is going on in Ableton, and for that i thank you very much, and look forwards to your next video. peace.
Hey Jason! Thanks for the support mate, pleased you are connecting with my teaching.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
♥️
is there no way to see the timeline on top with the minutes instead of bars? kind of like how logic has the option?
How do you change the semitone?
OMG this softwqre looks as dull as dish water and yet it is so popular. Its such a departure from cubase and sonar etc which have a much more logical layout. Still I mgonna keep on giving it a try and see if it grows on me..maybe I am missing something that all the users know but I dont. is it just me but I find the actual look of the interface horrendous and lack lustre. Thanks for doing the tutorial.it all helps
Is the envelope follower in Live Lite?
so I can only have 8 tracks when I'm making music in the arrangement view in lite?
Hey mate, yep that's correct Ableton Lite is limited to how many channels/tracks you can have - Andrew
@@CollectiveIntelligenceMusic that sucks
8‘s plenty!
@@thomasbuhman2405 I bought FL Studio instead, seemed worth the money and I prefer the layout. I'm using a lot more than 8 tracks so I'm glad I did.
Still waiting for that “how to record an instrument into ableton” in that ableton lite playlist
Hey Misty, thanks so much for this reminder!
Lol I gotta upgrade from lite 😂
Misty Raine me too, I just looked for it. If I watch the 10 Live videos, how applicable are they to Lite?
I recorded it today guys! Uploading this Friday
Hey Misty, the video was released today.
First question: How the heck do I get Ableton to not interrupt CZcams's Audio... cause as soon as I "jump into Ableton" CZcams gives me an Audio Error :(
ctrl + j is not working as consolidating is deactivated. What can I do?
Hi Man, can you activate the subtitle please?
TOOL!!!! :)
One would think that a tutorial for Ableton live lite would actually use Ableton live lite.
"i was andrew.." aw rip
I thought this was a step by step instruction. you techs assume we know certain stuff, well I don't. I fell at the 1st instruction, press the tab key??? what the hell is that, I can't find a tab key marked tab, so I started pressing everything hoping to get something similar on my screen , that only made it worse as things started to light up, numbers were changing, I closed it down. if this is how it's going to proceed then No
lol im the 666th like
Why did they have to make it so ugly
Lol I was thinking the same thing! I know looks aren’t everything, but this platform isn’t even remotely interesting to look at!lol
It's called minimalist design
@@TheCraftero minimalist design implies that there is still a design
@@bigdre. lol
Dude - it was a bit haphazard. Before making the video - decide exactly what you want to cover and try not to talk anything that is not related to those specific topics.
Thanks
