Any follow-up for how this patient is doing at the 2 year mark? Given the likelihood of eventual ASD (related to her ACDF), curious if she's still active/had a good quality of life?

on March 26 I am having cervical disc replacement finally. Not just my body but my head suffered cerviogenic headaches immensely. Hope I will be whole again.

Wish I could get a Dr like this in South Africa. Year and half with c3 to C5 mild compression pain in neck arm and shoulder and now lower back also saw .... I feel like the lady talking here

@@TexasHealthSurgeryPlano thanks for your reply. My problem - I think- is that doctors feel I have actually a good MRI - just mild compression. So I have figured out that they probably not sure if it is the joints. But trust me... If I ever go to Texas I will look you guys up👍

How do insurance companies view this? Are they willing to pay or do they give you the old "Experimental" routine?
Hi Richard, the quick answer is, it depends. There are some insurance companies that do cover this and some that either don't or make it more difficult of a process. Many/most insurance will cover cervical ADR, but it's a crapshoot whereas lumbar ADR is concerned. Many carriers (to include mine, Blue Cross Federal) still consider the latter "investigational", which would require the patient to pay out-of-pocket for services.
