A tour of Elgin, Texas (Austin Tx suburbs and small towns)

Elgin is a small town in Texas with a population just above 10,000 people. It's located about 25 miles NE of Austin and it's regarded as being a part of the greater Austin metro area. The down is known as the Sausage Capital of Texas and the Brick Capital of the Southwest. They also have a weekly farmers market and a monthly Sip Shot and Stroll event. This video features footage of the Hogeye festival, which happens in October for the past 36 years. Some places that feature live music in the downtown historic district include Liberty Tree Tavern, Lightnin' Bar and Elgin Meagery, where I played a gig on this day. Good times.
