This is the video on Rishi Kashyap, the oldest amongst all the Rishis out there. This video will give the viewers a brief idea about him and the ancient India's rich cultural history.
This video is the part of series in which we specifically going to talk about the great personalities of our country from the very beginning till now. Their innumerable contributions in science, astronomy, philosophy, society, mathematics, architecture and many more are unfathomable. We need to learn and educate ourselves all the richness that they provided us in terms of knowledge. Lest we forget and lose our heritage we need to hold on to it and pass it on to next generation as our moral duty!

Sage kashyap was the elder son of sage Marichi(the fifth manasputra of Lord Bramha)and Kalaa.kashyap married thirteen daughters of daksha(ninth manasputra of Lord Bramha)and asikni/panchajani/virani(daughter of prajapati viran/panchajan).they were Aditi,diti,danu,arishta/pradha,surasa,surabhi,vinata/suparna,Tamra,krodhavasha,ira/ila/Ida,kadru,vishwa and Muni/mouni.he had another two wives - kaalaa/kalaka and khasa.aditi gave birth to the adityas,the rudras and the vasus.the adityas were Indra,Surya,Agni,swarga,bhaga,Varun,Mitra,aryaman,savitar,pushan,parjanya and ansha.the rudras were nirriti,sambhu,aparajit,mrigabyadh,kapardi,dahan,khar,ahirabradhya,kapali,pingal and senani.the vasus were dhara,anal,anil,aap,pratyus,prabhas,som and dhruva.after their births Aditi bore 3 daughters- prithibi/bhumi,dhatri ,medha and two sons- twastri and mahotkat vinayak(incarnation of Lord Ganesha).they one more daughter prabha and a son sage martanda.at last Aditi gave birth to their youngest son vaman(incarnation of Lord Vishnu).

Rudra born from Brahma directly . Rudra created 11 rudras. This is from Vishnu Purana - most authorized purana.
No.. 11 Rudras and 12 Adityas came from Kashyapa. Vishnu is one of 12 Adityas.
Vishnu Puran and Bhagavad Puran are extremely interpolated that's why they not reliable.

Diti gave birth to daityas and marutas.the daityas were hiranyakashipu,hiranyaksha,sumbha,nishumbha,bajranga,arunasur and dambhasur.diti's only daughter was holika.(not simhika). simhika was the elder daughter of hiranyakashipu .holika was the first wife of biprachitti.after holika's death he was married to simhika.

Very important sons of Kashyapa are not mentioned. Avatsara, Naidruva, rebha, devala etc..are of Kashyapa family and rig vedic rishis

Danu was the mother of 40 danavas.they were biprachitti,brishaparvan,tuhundra,swarbhanu,shatrupan,shatha,sarabha,shankushir,Shankar,salabha,rambhasur,puloman,pralamba,nikumbha,nichandra,narak,mritapa,maydanav,kupath,ketumat,keshin,karambhasur,kabil,kapat/begabat,kabandha,isarpa,hara,gavishtha,ganganamurdhan,ekaksha,ekachakra,dirghajiva,danayu,ayumukh,aswashir,aswashanku,aswapati,aswagriba,aswagiri,aswa.
Its actually kash mear which means the lake of leaders. Actually if you research kash word you can easily find the meaning of kashmir. The kashghar , hindu kush, kashan, all are related to kash tribe who have great knowledge about the vedic religion and people respectfully called them Kash .

Kashyap of course....Manu was a human from whom manushya were descended....kashyapa on the other and was a manas putra of Bramha who stated almost all the different races
Even manu himself was descended from Kashyap.

Eklavya was determined for the Gyan he was interested in yet he couldn't have a guru for himself given the limitations......still he managed to be the greatest archer of his time with his perseverance and true dedication.
Same applies for all ages. It's an eternal story. We can learn and grow only if we are passionate about learning. We need to be observant enough to let the knowledge come our way. Instead of giving excuses of our limitations and why we couldn't succeed we can learn from Eklavya and attain greatness in life.
So that's the reason.
