I'm not a fan of seeing kids in videos but your daughter is so cute and such a good helper I had to smile at her and the memories of my daughters who were great helpers and looked very similar to yours! Both are grown and doing well ! I spent as much time as possible with them and was involved in just about everything they did and I have no regrets but you'll see and know one day about the grown up so fast thing and it'll shock you even if you think it won't! Having few regrets is much better than having many. Family is everything!
Awesome stool Simon, really love the design you went with (and your wife picked out)! Also really like the techniques you used, gonna have to try some of them out!
This man makes things look easy. Sped up with his gentle voice. I have to tell ppl this isn’t even his profession. You should really appreciate this work and learn what most men should know the basics skills like measuring and cutting safely as you see Simon Says has all the safety gear. This is a great place to learn new tricks and save a bunch of money as well as a hobby. You don’t always need all the tools Simon Says has. You can cut by hand. Not everyone has these tools and some may use a regular manual saw. This man is on fire and it isn’t even his occupation which is amazing
Thank you, Pissed Offerman! And that is very true, a lot can be done with a hand saw, hammer and nails, and simple tools that don't cost a ton of money. In fact, that is how I started building things over 11 years ago. Building and creating things is fun for me and a way for me to relax and at the same time being productive. :)
Awesome! Could you please share the layout of this nice stool? I also have a small daughter, and it would be nice to make something similar together! Thank you in advance! P.S. What would you suggest to use instead of bench saw to create that slits for the lower step, if I don't have one? I mean how to attach it (the lower step)? Some planks unerneath? or screws from the outside through the sides?
The only oops I seen bottom step front could see the new on the cut need to darken it just a hair R2 by the way here I thought it was an antique when I first saw it.
Brilliant 👏

Thanks! I’ll probably touch that up with some dark stain. :)
How did you figure out the side design? I would love a pattern
