Sadly, due to the effectiveness of the poly-carbon batteries in KITT, his AI chip is still operational 35 years later. Season 3 was always my favorite, mainly because the production just felt more slick and sophisticated. I remember getting really excited about the upgrades in season 3: the new dash, the foot pedal lights, and KITT's better CGI with cool 3D wireframe images. Everything just felt more modern than the first 2 seasons. Then Super Pursuit in season 4 was perhaps a step too far and felt slightly like they jumped the shark and lost credibility. Though any episode of Knight Rider is OK by me :) But season 3's my personal favorite! … Complete with Dr Barstow :)
I think "A Good Knight's Work" is one of the best Knight Rider episodes because we meet the guy who wanted Michael Long dead in the first place, Cameron Zachery played by John Vernon. I kind of wish they had brought him back in later episodes as a recurring villain. He could have been Michael's arch nemesis. Instead they brought John Vernon back in the show's final episode "Voo Doo Knight" (which I thought sucked) to play a different unrelated character like many Knight Rider guest stars.

Kitt was disassembled and brought down by elevator, or they destroyed to set surrounding Kitt, Bonnie came and developed a backwards turbo boost. or...., they just took another kit on the set. ☺️
Fortunately the building had strong floors I guess otherwise he may have found himself on the ground floor soon enough several falls through the floor at a time. I guess he could try a reverse donut spin to face the correct way then jump out again to a lower deck of the multi-story parking garage.
They probably had to call Devon to send a heavy duty helicopter to get them out of there. Or Maybe they tore in the building further so there was enough room to turbo boost back to the parking garage.
