Love that you enjoyed your palettes that you pulled! The idea of reaching for singles to compliment a palette is so much fun. The potential for more variety is fun for me. In May, I reached for the Colourpop Peach Out a lot. Finally warm here in Ohio and I was feeling those bright and fun shades. Also, the Huda New Nude was used quite a bit last month. Yes! Enjoy those babies! You never get that time back. Make those memories!

I’m so happy you pulled it out. Naked palettes also get excessive hate they don’t deserve. Edit: I think people didn’t like Carli Bybel palette because it was release at the same time as the legendary Jackie Aina palette which is unarguably beautiful
I feel like most are on the indie brand trend which I think it’s too expensive for what you are getting. Mainstream is cheaper these days and great quality.
I like Naked Cyber. 😊. My only complaint is that orange looks horrid on me so I have to use another palette if I want a deep shade. Lately I have been using a Danessa Myricks colorfixes. I’ve been to the pool and the beach a few times. They are water proof and great in humidity. I use them for everything, blush, lips, eyeshadow, liner, eyebrows.
I need to use my singles and pigments also! I got a pigment bundle from Give Me Glow for $30! But I’ve been feeling so tired and stressed that I haven’t been wearing as much makeup this year! 😵💫😭 I heard a lot of people complain about how Jackie Aina didn’t have her time to shine with her ABH palette because Carli Bybel’s came out right afterwards. A few of them decluttered it just because they felt bad for Jackie. I’m thinking then why did they buy the palette in the first place if they thought it was unfair? 😂Throwing it in the trash is a waste of money and makeup. Plus, it was not Carli Bybel’s fault. That would be ABH’’s decision to release them so close. Also both women are living their lives in their mansions with their fancy cars. They both got their checks from ABH. They don’t know or care about us, so why do so many people get so emotionally invested into something not serious? We need to get more invested in taking care of our own finances and own careers, and not worrying about influencers. They are adults who can stand up for themselves.
Not only do I agree with everything you stated about those ABH palettes, I also want to add they are both so different from one another… ABH could have dropped both literally on the same day, and they would not have competed against each other… I personally really enjoy both, for different reasons; I don’t wear traditional pastels on their own, but I can wear the CB palette if I want that soft effect, while the JA palette is great for richer looks… Plus, they actually pair well together!

Sometimes it is totally warranted, don’t get me wrong. But other times it’s just to stir up drama, get views and suck up energy. 😅
I’ve been a bit makeup lazy too! It’s nice that you will get use of your singles! Is Dominique Cosmetics still around? My Latte palette is still as good as when I bought it. Love the formula! The Carli Bybel palette is pretty! I miss the days of the bigger influencer collabs, even if I wasn’t buying! There was just something fun about waiting to see the reveal, swatches, reviews, eye-looks…
I love the Meraki palette, and for a few months, it was the one I just reached for when I didn’t want to think about my makeup. It literally got to the point I had to put it away, out of reach, after 3-4 months 😂 I’m so fair & neutral that those subtle shade differences are actually noticeable, so I don’t get too much overlap, and using one “beige” over another can really make a difference in the warmth of a look…
I’ve decided I need to use all my single potted items at least once in June. (5 Super Shock shadows and 8 Makeup Geek pigments) The pigments are SEVERELY neglected items in my collection. And it wouldn’t hurt to get more use out of the Super Shocks either. I’m also working to hit two eye shadow pans and complete three palettes no pan left behind style. So far, I’ve used five of the single potted items, completed one palette no pan left behind style and hit the two pans! 😀
I feel like I need to pull out my Meraki palette now. The UD Naked Cyber is a favorite of mine. I like to use it as a companion topper palette. I plan on doing a lot of outdoor activities this summer with my husband and son. Some beach combing, rockhounding, hiking, fishing, and camping. And of course a random road trip thrown in there somewhere. I live in Washington state and so far it has still been rainy and windy leading into June. Hopefully, we get nicer weather soon.
I hope you get warmer weather soon. For a while we joked saying we didn’t realize we lived in Washington state with all the rain and gloom we were getting 😂
This week I'l try to use more purples because I need to practice for my Beetlejuice in summer look for a comiccon. Summer for me is very sad because there isn't many comiccons and the few which happen are usually on the beach and I dread crowded and hot as lava places which lack fresh vegetation T.T Last June I went to that same comiccon as a goth and summer-y Ursula the sea witch, so this year I'll be a bit skimpier Beetlejuice so I can enjoy being edgy without dying 0.o
I'm always surprised when people declutter the Carli palette too. I don't have it but if I did I think there's a lot to love!

I always wanted the UD Cyber palette and there were so many bad reviews that never got it. But to me it looked great. 😊
