Project NESTOR 2.0 was implemented in partnership by the Kashubian Folk University (leader) and the Aby Chciało się Chcieć Foundation, from September 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023, in rural areas of the Kartuzy County (Pomeranian Voivodeship). The project’s target audience was seniors (a total of 63 individuals aged 60+) from four small Kashubian villages. Our goal was to prevent the social exclusion of seniors and, as a result, improve their quality of life by involving them in the operation and planning of educational activities at the Clubs. We aimed to build a sense of community among the Seniors in each Club, and through this, better address the issues faced by this group: loneliness, health problems, mobility challenges, and digital exclusion. To this end, we implemented educational practices in the Clubs that were intergenerational in nature and referred to the local heritage of Kashubian culture and regional language. We succeeded in building relationships based on respect and understanding, stemming from mutual recognition of life experiences and shared fundamental values between generations.
