    Do you think the Nissan Frontier can be as competitive as the other big players?

    • @jeanclaude7018
      @jeanclaude7018 Před 3 měsíci

      More so, especially with no turbos. I think they could market that more strongly to their advantage, along with their history of reliability since 1959.
      Nissan now has the Million Mile Frontier in their possession that is on the TFL truck channel, and they ought to include that in their advertising.

      @@user-cv5kp7zz7q It was Nissan in other places, but I read that they used the name Datsun so the Nissan name would not be dishonored in case they failed in America.
      I guess they had modest expectations in 1959. They didn't know they'd own the market 10 years later with the 240Z, the 510, and the class-defining 520 trucks!
      At least the modern Z and Frontier seem like great vehicles again, and though they still have Versa and Sentra, everyone wants SUV, now, so I guess it's the Rogue and Pathfinder. I wish they'd build a boxy retro 510 and it would surely sell, like with the Z- car engine!

    In the 80s and 90s the Nissan Hardbody was a strong seller and you can still see them on the roads today. With the elevated prices of Tacoma and Colorado and the availability of only a 4cyl turbo on the Toyota, it will be interesting to see how it does.

    My old 8' bed with a camper shell makes weekend camping with a cot and full-size mattress a breeze. Now I can't even buy an 8'. Need at least a 6.5' with a built in shell that doesn't leak and has side windows with screens. No need for crew cap just enough extended to fit my ice chest and stove. Nobody care about how easy the short tour camping guy with no dang travel trailer needed for deep woods 4x4. It would be the bomb for some of us. G friends always liked the roughing it with a bed just fine

    Here's a kicker!!! I found out that they do offer the Pro 4X trim in the King Cab configuration but only in Canada and not in the U.S.A. I don't get it? I'd be at the dealer now if they had that here! I hope Nissan sees this becausesome of us want that trim but dont want 4 doors and want a longer bed so we can put a shell on it and sleep inside when we are overlanding instead of having a goofy roof tent. Ot at least offer an option of a locking diff on the S and SV packages!

      Unfortunately the decision was not made based on lack of popularity or poor profits. It was decided by new emission laws, either re-design the engine or discontinue. The Diesel Titans proved that Nissan does not do well with drastic re-designs so they decided to hold on production.
