I love seeing other Black folks discovering and loving Mamamoo. Mamamoo was my introduction to K-Pop and so the bar for quality was set so high at first. Now I love my trash songs as well as classics! Wheein is blessing us with a solo album next week and I'm so excited.

Like I begin with Hwasa, then Moonbyul, then Solar (after watching too much Moonsun moments), and after Water color of Wheein, I'm 100% into her :))))))
For me it’s started with Hwasa . then Solar . And Moonbyul . In the end we also have Wheein . . And i can’t choose anymore ! Maybe Hwasa because i love the way her voice is attractive like that ..
But damn ! No one of them is out. They are amazing . . All the same when they sing and all different at the same time ! It’s amazing to see .

Moonbyul(rapper) actually initially trained as a vocalist. She was kind of shoe horned into the rapper role, she was basically told she would be the rapper or not debut with Mamamoo. She has since had more singing parts and has several solo projects out.
Hwasa may have been sick or just getting over being sick when they shot this. She for sure has the raspy/jazzy vocals and her vocal placement? does seem to be more towards the back of the throat, so she may have had to adjust her style to compensate for maybe a stuffy nose or some congestion.
Wheein(Blazer) is childhood friends with Hwasa, they've known each other since middle school. Many consider Wheein to be the "glue" that holds Mamamoo's vocals together.
Solar is the leader and while I really don't have a bias in the group, I mean come on. I absolutely adore Solar. She's beautiful, vocal are top tier and while being a scaredy cat, she is fearless and tries what ever she sets her mind to.
All four of these women can sing, dance, rap. There are plenty of examples of them doing just that. They are also crackheads of the next level, also plenty of videos of them in crackhead mode as well.

I never knew that about Moonbyul. Man...why would they do that to her? Is it really THAT necessary to have a rapper in a group? It would be awesome to see a group with only vocalists in kpop.

Wheein’s voice (blazer) is my absolute favourite, I just love her tone and heavenly head voice. But ALL of the girls have such talent, you can’t deny it. Mamamoo are the best vocal group right now.

It funny how after Wind Flower ended, Solar and Wheein are asking each other if they are ready for the next song because I Miss You is THAT song. It’s so vocally demanding of Solar and Wheein, and that just a part of the full song.
Mamamoo is my absolute favorite girl group. I love that they always focus on vocals first, everything else is secondary. They are queens!
Excellent commentary. Agree - Mamamoo is a master class in musicality. They're always better live and even better when they have an audience. Besides the lack of any drop off in vocal quality I think what makes their performances magical is their bff chemistry, their charisma & stage presence, and the joy they exude while performing. Mamamoo's vocal arrangements and the way they weave their four unique timbres and styles in sequence and the harmony combinations they have available is as brilliant as what you might expect from an all-star jazz band that's been doing their thing for decades.
Edit: I forgot to mention that Hwasa (the one on the right) was congested because of a cold when the Dingo video was filmed. She often uses a whiskey-soaked, sultry vocal style but she's very versatile, as they all are. I think she did a good job of using the voice she had on that particular day to her advantage on this performance.
If you need another great Mamamoo performance, I recommend their ‘I Miss You’ performance from the show Queendom. The song is always a showstopper but they really killed it that time.

Beside their high quality of singing, they call them “Queen of vocal” but if you watched their live performance you would call them”Queen of performance” because in every award ceremony, their stage performance always something you waiting for..they always bring different concept, either make their song into rock ver. (Gogobebe) or mix their song into one song.

Watch their immortal songs medley, you will be blown away. Mamamoo is unlike any other K-pop girl group. If there's anyone who deserves to be WAY bigger internationally, it's them.
These girls are the embodiment of the word star, great stage presence, no bullshit attitude, great message and such reletable human beings. A wonderful selection to introduce Albert to the girls.
I love that a channel like yours exists! Kpop reaction channels are all the same these days with a lot of them doing the same thing. One thing I really, really love about this channel is that it brings some variety into the CZcams algorithm and gives me something new to digest! I also watch a lot of ReacttotheK (another music-based kpop reaction channel) and what I love about it is that I’m always learning whether it be about music, vocal technique, music creation, etc. What I like the most about your channel and what makes it stand out from other reaction channels (imo) is that you seem to know a lot of people from varying creative backgrounds in and outside of the music industry and I love how you bring in different *POC* talents to share their professional opinions, not only on pretty idols are or how cool the music video is but, also about the music and sound itself. Listening to people who are knowledgeable and passionate about their work, especially music, is something I love to do so I hope to see more of it in your channel!
I’m a new sub so I’m not sure if you’ve done it yet but, I hope that you’re able to hold a panel or something one day made up of a vocalist, dancer, director, composers, stylists, etc. Maybe reviewing a song as a together or a mini-series reviewing a shortened version of an older group’s discography to see how their look and sound has evolved since their debut (I nominate Mamamoo btw 😅)? Omg, idk if this is even a practical idea but, if you have a stylist friend who’s into it, I’d love a series where a stylist recreates mv/kpop idol fits with clothing items more affordable for the average kpop fan. Fuck, I’d watch the shit out of that.... *Anyway* , I can’t wait to see how you evolve your channel and for more Mamamoo content 😂❤️

If you liked Solar's voice (the one with the ponytail), then you might really like 'Adrenaline'. She has incredible versatility. Adrenaline is a rock-style, and 'Blue Bird' is a country song. She has a lot of other songs in Solar Gamsung, but those are her most recent songs and really show how different she can sound.

Wheein's comeback is coming this 13th of April everyone! It's just sad that Wheein gets overlooked at everytime. She's not getting the recognition she deserves. Through out the entire video, she was never mentioned. Great reaction anyway and we hope you will continue to react to MAMAMOO.
We actually spoke about Wheein at the end but I cut it by mistake 😩. She was my 2nd favourite but not quite for Albert but she’ll get her moment in more videos for sure.
