- With it being such a nice day and only living 3 miles away I decided to visit Johns grave. nice looking church with some great views.
Johns grave is located in the small village called Rushock Which is in the UK - Hudba
someone needs to keep that grave sight cleaned up and honor the one of the greatest drummers to ever grace the world with such talent...
Go clean it up
Tip...... he’s NOT really buried there.
@@col145 Correct. He was cremated.
@@col145 still a place to acknowledge him. Grave sites are never about the bodies.
@@BoneCK15 I understand, point taken.
When I was born you had already left us. But my heart beats faster when I hear you playing. I will always love you John 🧡 Rest in peace dear
Drummers all around the world 🌎 love this man
Mark Holden HE IS THE PIONEER ✊🏾
risplenda ad essi la luce perpetua. Riposino in pace.Amen.
Except Ginger Baker.
Very much so Mr. Holden. Letd not leave out the stoners though ;p
Guys don't forget Mr.Neil Peart and Mr. Charlie Watts.
I loved and cherished Led Zeppelin from day one, but John Bonham was, is, and forever will be an ICON for drummers. His special gift, remarkable way of giving life to his personal way of playing drums will always be remembered, NEVER forgotten
I still miss him, and I always will...
Thank you Bonzo, rock in peace hero! We love you.
I always loved the way John Bonham played!
Arguably the finest drummer. Ever.
There is no argument 👍
who is arguing?
@@DR.Detroit11 Thing is I was a teenager raised in Toronto when Rush came out so I followed Neil Peart quite abit. Take care 🇨🇦
@@christrudell7966 I grew up across the river...Rush and Neil are incredible..but Neil even swung from John...Neil is another unbelievable drummer. Hey my top is Krupa, so there's that.
@@DR.Detroit11 I hear you Dr. D. Another cool fact: Peter Criss's favorite drummer was Gene Krupa. Although you probably already know!
I visited John's resting place 12 weeks ago and it was so moving being there and it's such a beautiful place... I miss him ♥♫♥
Claudia Mahlert WOW 🤦🏾♀️ THAT EMOJI IS ME I REMEMBER WHAT I WAS DOING WHEN THEY ANNOUNCED HIS DEATH THATS HOW LONG ME AND MY FAMILY HAVE BEEN ZEP FANS MY 2 SISTERS AND I LOVED THIS BAND STILL DO
Mr.Bonham's grave is perfect: solid raw soulful and heavy
I was there in 2019 on a misty morning. It was very calm and quite, even though it was misty, the birds were singing and I thought after the fast crazy life you had you are now truly at peace. RIP. John
Gay
Just a beautiful place,i can feel the spirits very peaceful RIP John Bonham
Jeez, family or bandmates could afford to hire somebody to clean up and put flowers on the grave, maybe once a month…AGREE? 🤷♀️
Oh my goodness yes that's really disgusting
Absolutely Damn, I'm surprised that a fan doesn't keep up the grave Twice a month is all it would take R.I.P. Ol' Friend...
Every time I hear thunder, I imagine that it’s Bonzo playing a drumroll in heaven.
Great comment. Rog. Pacific sunset records .
It is...🥁🍻⚘
that is a good way to put it , i will now think the same thankyou
As Paul's disciples said. See that my grave is kept clean. Rog. Pacific sunset records.
You sir, made my day❤
Forty years gone, still so incredibly moving….
On my bucket list to visit his grave
RIP bonzo, you were the absolute BEST..
WILL listen to your music till i thank you on the other side...Take care
The sound of your shoes on the gravel was pretty great. Looks like a peaceful place.
He didn't quit drinking soon enough to save himself.
I remember hearing the news as a HS senior. We were so blasé about rock stars dying. We were upset that the tour was postponed. The next day we were already discussing rock drummers as potential replacements. Horrible.
Personally, I don't think Robert Plant ever got over it. Combine that with the death of his son while he was thousands of miles away on a tour and a jeep accident that nearly killed his wife, and a Zeppelin reunion was unthinkable to him.
Would have loved to have seen them, but you've got to respect that.
It wouldn't have been the same with another great drummer. Bonham was one of those unique musicians that was one of a kind
Pretty cool I like the sticks guys nice touch...he would probably laugh I bet...but it was cool...I had a little trouble with alcohol me self as u guys say....and I'm lucky my mom found me took 3 people to get off the ground...one was battalion fire chief to whom I'm thankful, and a good boss he was...when ur young beep happens..I hope the got a spare room far off in the very East wing where Jon ain't bothering the quiet Angels... hahaha...bless him he is missed... thanks that was Nice...nice area
God bless you Johnny you were one of the best if not THE!!!🙏✝️🌌☮
Been almost 40 years now, where does the time go.
I was 10 yrs old when he passed. I knew nothing of Zeppelin at that time, except hearing the name. I walked into a Grocery Store with my Mom, and every magazine had this guy on the Cover, with his "Died, Sept 25th." I remember thinking, "damn, this guy must be really famous to be on every magazine in the store." Little did I know he was the greatest rock drummer of the greatest group of all time.
Its not your fault Mom raised you wrong lol.
I jest i jest
"We done four already, but now we're steady, and then they went..."
We still miss you Bonzo.
1...2...3...4...
Lovely setting for the long sleep
Wow thanks,I had dreamed of going there some day. I think this is a nice quiet place that suits John who loved the countyside and his farm.We will never forget you John, we lived the same dream through your drumming which was irreplaceable.
Great to see Johns resting place RIP
Great find. Incredible drummer from a legendary time. Peaceful location……
"We've got four already and now we're steady"
We love and miss you Bonzo.
No dought...🥁🍻⚘
I found this very moving
BEAUTIFUL AREA, GRAVE IS A HOTTT MESS, COME ON JASON,
I never knew he died that long ago....i loved his drumming...r i p
And thank you for your style in stair way to heaven........im sure your there watchin over your bandmates and family.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Must admit....the grave isn't well kept!! WTH!!
That 's an old historical cemetery. I bet they have chiming bells at the church for Mass. Beautiful . I think Bonham would like it here. RIP . The Greatest Drummer of all time.
this is holy ground.
Such great artistry and passion ..laid to rest in a peaceful nook ,away from the clatter of life ! Rip. John Bonham
He had a gift. He made the most of it, & we all benefitted because of it!
A very peaceful place. I was lucky enough to hear John playing live with Led Zepp at Knebworth, not long before he passed. Thanks for uploading this but I wish you'd spent more time focusing on the inscription, so that I could have read the whole thing!
I paused the video and was able to read it clearly 🤔
Thanks for sharing
thanks for this
I went there today
It's always a shame when young people with absolutely everything going their way party themselves over the edge of eternity...
Right.
that makes me really sad
Beautiful setting. I know the grave isn't manicured but somehow it looks right to me.
I lost it a bit when I saw the two piles of drumsticks. ... VERY nice.
Such a tragedy 😕
WoW! You think someone ….anyone could upkeep his grave sight !!! I’m sure this is uttered every time someone watches this video. Damn I’m sure someone in the family if not the whole family is still receiving money from his Estate/Zeppelin catalog.
This man is going down in history as the greatest. Get a kit and try just try Nobody comes close
I couldnt play as well as him in the least but the more i learned about his techniques the more i realized they sound much more complex than they actually are. To be clear, i mean that in the most endearing way possible.
Shocking state to be in !!
The mans a rock legend if i was nearby id dress that with pride
Reminds me to go to the cemetery and clean up my parents grave
JB created a signature sound which time can`t erase . At 32 we were all robbed of his great talent - R.I.P.
On this day (Sept 25th, 2021) the great John Bonham, drummer for Led Zeppelin, died 41 years ago.
My drummer hero John Bonham...god bless John....still miss you still love you!
❤ 🙏 ❤
Per sempre
I'm torn. I want to visit his grave and be grateful and grieve. Yet, I'm still so incredibly sad that he's gone.
knew a bloke from dudley[brum]who worked as a joiner with us on site ..old school drinker he worked with the bonhams round the redditch cannock sites...tough lot...irish decendancy[dare i say it travellers]
That's interesting. Robert Plant is descended from Romanichal Travellers on his mother's side. He and John Bonham were very close friends. I think Bonham was the person Robert Plant was closest to in Led Zeppelin. Years later he would still get emotional when people asked him about John Bonham's death.
Oh my goodness, who’s in charge of maintenance, Rip Bonzo
It's a shame he died. He was such an awesome power drummer, who created that led zeppelin unique sound. especially those big kick drums
Heaviest drum sound ever ? Right before "If it keeps on rainin'....", YEAH THAT ! !
I still remember vividly that dreadful day sitting in crafts class when the news hit. 😔🙏
I always wanted to do this.
I'm surprised there's not a snare drum or a hi-hat with a tambourine on it and a bass drum pedal.
I believe Bonzo is in peace and completely at ease in this truly beautiful place. He was never an overly fussy or pretentious guy, so his final resting place reflects him perfectly. And his wonderful son carries the torch now. RIP Bonzo.
The man who thundered across deserts in Achilles Last Stand, processed through Kashmir, burst in like sunshine in Your Time is Gonna Come and hung threads of silver through In the Light......all of that and he summoned marching angels to battle with Page's devil for Plant's soul In My Time of Dying.
Would bring my very best sticks to honor him...
Agreed, Jay Birdy. Premier Double Cs, with or without nylon tips? Far too light, probably.
Hopefully see you one of the old afternoons, J Bon, residing within a far better Astral Plane. Rest in Peace.
Stay free. R 🍻 😎 🌠
PS. I might also recommend a set of Alex Duthart sticks. *Heavy.* Please refer to the following link if your interest is piqued ... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Duthart
All the best, Jay (and John). Rab 💚
Yes l say the same thing that grave should be looking big time best drummer every RIP John
Sad
What a sad sight, I can't believe it's in such a state.
Mr. Bonam, you'd be so proud of your Son, Jason beats those skins like you did. We'll all meet someday. And it will be a fine day indeed.
Greatest ever
September 25, 1980 he’s been gone 40 years. My god what a talent.
we've done four already but now we're steady, and then they went one, two, three, four I can hear the oceans roar, play free, play for me, and play a whole lot more! singing about the good things and the sun that lights our way, I used to sing on the mountains, has the ocean lost its way...HAMMER of the GODS!
This almost made me cry
Me too
A quiet little cemetery with a nice little backbeat...
Typically British understatement that his headstone doesn’t mention that he was a drummer, let alone one of the best drummers in one of the best bands.
What a shitty grave yard for such a legend,,dosent anyone take care of it?
Lets ask the other 3 Rich$$$ band mates...
@Consuelo Patagonia Yes, I understand, but its in such disaray from the pictures we see
Thinking about Led Zepplin IV the figure holding the lantern was like JHB shinning the light to show drummers the way..
You WERE part of the most talented band Ever ! RIP
Only 32...what a shame..regardless if he was famous or not
Sad John was such a great artist.
I knew that there would be drum sticks all about the stone.
That looks terrible for such a legend Randy Rhoads has a beautiful Mausoleum I can't believe John Bonham's looks that way
Always so sad to see his grave. Just saddens me for his family. I could be selfish and say "saddens me cause all the music left behind" but that is selfishness. He was a man, a father, husband, brother etc.
He quit drinking slightly too late.
Visited the grave about 4 years ago,so sad
There is not at least one fan who lives near John's grave that could offer to help care for and keep his gravesite a bit more tidy?
When it went to the writing I got goose bumps
❤
Thanks
Glad there is a place to pay respects even though his remains have long since been cremated.
When giants walked the earth...
Only thirty-two.
"All drumming is about timing. like comedy, a split second too late or too early and you go from gold to lead." - brian padrick drake
God called John back home early..
He did not want man to have two Gods..
( Heaven is not as quiet as it used to be )
I bought a drum kit 1970 because of the Beast..
Rest easy my Brother
Solemn. Whoever shot the footage thank you for not speaking.
He was truly one of the greatest. I think his grave could have symbolized what John was about. Check out hendrixs grave.
I worked with a couple of people over the years who knew JB, and they had nothing nice to say about him. From the way they spoke, I believed them.
His family and best friends knew him best, and they have all spoken well of him.
His son should overlook the maintenance of last resting place. It is sad to see it's kept such manner. Greatest rock drummer ever.
John Bonham, a mans life taken so suddenly. If he was still here there would be drummers everywhere !!!! Its beat, we can not change the inevitable !!!!
TopJimmy
The GREATEST in the whole world until today ! ! !
I don't beleive we'll meet one better than Bonzo !
....you have to play drums to understand what I mean......................
Sad sad sad............
Roger Taylor❤
Only 32. That's some hard living.
¡Qué RECUERDOS!
I can't believe how unkept it is . That's very sad indeed.
