DiRT 2 executable has stopped working

Windows 7 Ultimate x64
AMD Phenom(tm) 8750 Triple-Core CPU 2.41 GHz
4 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4870 sapphire
I have play the GAME before on my computer with Win7 Ultimate and i have this game on anotehr computer with Win7 Ultimate and it works, but not on my :(

I had the same problem and i solved . hope it works out for you.
go to your graphics settings and set it to low and delete the "my games" folder in documents.
it works for "dirt 1" " dirt 2" and "dirt 3" .

+SaifRind Support for Games for Windows ended.....and now I cant even create profil. Any suggestions how create profil and play this game? Or DIRT 2 is just Dead?

I went into the hardware_settings_config.htm and changed the settings all to low, but to no avail. The resolution was set to 800x600, all the graphics settings were set to low, and it was not in full screen. I suppose its just not meant to be...

@BreakB97598 I think you can fix the problem if you modefy some workermap files. But don't know how :/

I have dirt 3 and the same problem but i SOLVED it,i hope it can work for you also:
Right click on Dirt 2 icon,go to properties,then compatibility tab,and in the settings set Run in 256 colors (won't change your graphics quality) and in the Privilege level set Run as administrator.That's it :D (i have windows 7 64 bit)

you should lower your graphics,mine was on max and i set it on medium like 1024x768 and it also worked
