The server just doesn't like people or reward people that play sbs characters that are just actual pure characters hence why characters like James Randall isn't around anymore and the clowns struggled and had to change their ways.
thats not even true though theyve rewarded plenty of sbs characters. and other event things but not everyone cares to try and do event things or sbs in a fun way

From a viewers POV there just doesn’t seem to be any progression available. There’s nothing to aim for. No reward. I get the owners/devs want to slow burn it, but just seems like they are overkilling it.
its rp. youre supposed to make your own progression. not progress based on mechanics and what heists are available in the server. Remember the whole time lord arc? that was just purely rp that anyone can do.

imma gonna say what no one else has the balls to say, before 4.0 launched Buddha was bragging about how "realistic" 4.0 was gonna be, dude is obviously one of the main people in charge/making creative decisions since Koil isnt that much hands on anymore and he has singlehandley turned the server into dogshit
Its simple. Back then nobody knew each other OOC and stakes were lower. Now its about farming subs and views + everyone knows eachother OOC so it becomes a Discord call with friends. There is less reason to play an actual character because most viewers aren't even there for actual creative RP. Viewcounts peak when thers repetitive wars, repetitive chases with cops, repetitive wiping of cops etc. The core of RP viewers that tuned in for actual characters and storylines have been overshadowed by viewers that want action an those viewers are a majority. Even viewers that claim they want RP, cat actually handle RP because they cry whenever there's real conflict RP. A lot of the streamers also struggle heavy with it nowadays because their egos become inflated. Certain big gangs start crying whenever they catch an L or things don't go according their plans, while with RP you should always roll with things not going according to your plan because its all improv. Times change, you won't get the oldschool RP anymore. Audiences changed, streamers and their stakes have changed.
The thing with conflict RP is 90% of it isnt REAL conflict RP its people doing it because #1 they want content so they force it or #2 they just want to big dick smaller crews. There is rarely natural conflict. ADMC vs CG was real conflict at least on ADMCs side. CG through pure happenstance killed a ADMC member. CG after hearing ADMC might retaliate IMO cringe-ily started shooting random ADMC members saying vague threats because like I said up top with #2 people want to big dick smaller crews. But ADMC being an actual RP crew had a plan after TJ died. No one touch CG until Barry killed off the others involved in TJ dying and after he did that he pushed their block out of no where declaring war. And everytime they fought and everytime the gang told other gangs what was happening TJs name was always mentioned so people knew WHY there was conflict. The war ended with them attacking city hall together because TJ died because the corruption at city hall. TJ went to work there to fix the corruption and the mayor being so corrupt got it attacked thus TJ died so it went full circle. ADMCs war rule is they will never fight over getting robbed like how Manor has multiple times. And people call them pushovers for it. They only war of there is an ACTUAL RP arc to happen. Its funny Manor person is complaining about RP when his gang is one of the biggest 0RP big dick just to big dick crews in the server.

Too many streamers with "gangster" characters and they all care about ooc politics to get viewers. Reducing grind doesn't matter since the majority of them don't RP anyway . It's too late now, they lost the casual RPers and the city seems dead due to lack of creativity from monotone gangters.

The reason why not alot of people play civs is cuz theres just so much group content, there can still be people that run around doing funny shit getting their funny up, its just people are enjoying the game more than they are enjoying the roleplay. they wanna advance, and they wanna be at the top. but alot of people dont enjoy that kind of competition. why alot of people step back from the grinding cuz everyone else is in tryhard mode.
thats why gangwars are so petty, gotta get your get back, gotta be 1 step ahead of the next gang, gotta win, gotta get the w, cant take any loses, gotta have the bigger ego, its all just nonsense competition, ppl need to stop taking the game so seriously, relax a little, and rp more.

you cannot get guns if u arent a gang who can shoot and down the other gangs competing for them. you cannot get fentanyl. you cannot do heists. you cannot sling weed. petty crimes pay absolutely nothing and the fines are huge.
It because they have 200+ player per timezone and the game is call GTA. You cant force people not to play gang character when the majority of the content are design for gang/crim. The biggest issues is, the way people play in the server. People treat gang like some esport orgs or their career brands. That why people that play in NP feel they have to make a group and start something. Obviously, the mechanic in the server make thing even worse.
The mechanics are designed for everyone who wants to commit crime to be in a gang to progress and since civilian jobs and businesses gets zero love from the dev that means you'll have a huge amount of them. The server needs a 4.5 relaunch with business focused WL content to draw the right type of RPers back in.
