    I dont really understand why a sink is taking so long. No kitchen or bathroom sink?

  • @Bestbirths
    @Bestbirths Před 2 lety +9

    Ps. What kind of man builds himself a desk office before he builds his woman a kitchen or installs a bathroom sink? He’s got his gaming station first and a shrine for his alligator head before a stove? I can’t even. Come on guys. Put the alligator head in the storage, this isn’t play time. Would you take the alligator head on the AT or a marathon? No? Pack that crap up and get it out of there. It’s just demotivating your siblings to have to come over and see that. It would demotivate me! Boy that’s a red flag and it’s not a good sign. This is some tough love but when a person makes the priority themselves over the group it is a very bad character quality and it can set a woman up for years of abuse and neglect. Come on Dove. Seriously?

    You need to complete things before you "spread out". Do it in a priority order... kitchen, bathroom, laundry, additional electrical in the rest of the house. This should not be a problem to agree upon. Good luck

    I hope in the end it will all be fairly equal and won't end up as 'Doves house' which seems to be the direction it's heading at the moment. The other 2 need to put their stamp on the property!

      They seem a bit annoyed and it has forsure complicated the process in so many areas like access to even work on it to it now being lived in verse a construction project. At least the rent she sould be paying them will cover the taxes next go around if it'
      s worth $1500.00 a month she should be paying $1000.00 bc that's minus her share of profit if it was rented out.

    You were given a house & $45,000 from your parents and they cry about trying to be independent from them. 2 years later you've spent $31,000 and can account for $9000 and a few other things but the house is still a mess. You live rent free but moan you have to pay property taxes. No the bathroom IS NOT almost finished. I thought with all the running you might become strong & independent but no. What a disappointment.

    Focus on the plumbing/sink issues…. Then complete the kitchen. Move to the bathroom. Then SELL AND SPLIT THE PROFITS!!! 🥳 Speed is important in flipping a house. You don’t want to keep paying recurring costs (like taxes!) Or do you plan to keep it?

    Priorities! No excuses why that house is not done!!! Can't believe you all can't work together to get this house done👎 If you all had to actually pay for that house without been giving it by your Parents guessing you would be taking it more serious. Another example of spoiled ungrateful generation.

      I guess something to consider is, did they even want the house or was it forced on them by their dad? They certainly didn't have the personal financial backing that would have been required to do this work.

    Kudos to you guys for sticking with it, owning a house is not easy I also learned this from my parents....Have you guys ever thought if Dove and her bf buying out the others and then she could sprawl but the others wouldn't feel cheated? Whatever you decide to do, you are learning great life skills because you always have to work with people who do things different and put priorities on different things, Also old houses will always take twice as long to do projects on....my parents have a 200 yr old farmhouse and I learned that pretty quick, no project is quick or easy because when you tear into a wall you never know what the last person did. Good luck guys! You will get there just like hiking you gotta do it one mile at a time 😊

    You have come along way since your Dad and Mom gave you the house. The bulk of the work is in the preparation and you took a lot of rubbish out as you went. Most of it from what I can see is now cosmetic and will come together. One thing I will say is Dove your bedroom is organised right now and that is a bonus when the house is upside down. When I was renovating my ex would start one thing then move onto another and it became a nightmare to live in. My way of doing things was to call a halt. I picked the room I wanted finished which for me was the kitchen. I needed to be able to cook and to have a place I could clean. If you can all get the cabinets in the bench on and the oven and dishwasher connected that would give you one room decluttered and functional. Next was the living area. This needs decluttering and sorting what you do want and what you don't. If you have another room you can put boxes with things in I would put them there once they have been reorganised and labeled. With these two areas sorted you can then finish the bathroom which is important again as it is a wet area and it needs to be sealed in to prevent moisture going into the framing this can build up and cause issues later on. I know with work it can seem never ending which is why it pays to have a plan that works with all three of you and Lincoln. The growth I see in each of you shows the maturity that you have come through in the past 2 years. Spoilt ! No I would not say that, blessed with challenges, brings skills that will serve you all in your adult lives as you gain a foothold in life that fits the unique individuals that you are all becoming while nurturing and growing the sibling bond that you will cherish for your entire lives. Well done to the three of you. Thank you for sharing this wonderful update.

    I'm interested in knowing what the end goal is with this house... Will you guys rent it out to Dove & her boyfriend, or rent it to others, or sell it?
    This has, no doubt, been an incredible learning experience for all 3 of you. I don't think I'd be able to get along with my siblings (I also come from a family of 6 total siblings) on a project like this at such formative ages.

    Without renovation experience I'm sure this all seems overwhelming but nothing other then electrical work is acually very hard to do, reserch it and maybe hire a professional to over see and teach yall what to do 1st and how todo it. Like a project Manger my father has had a heart attack and can no longer do this physically but could guide yall and show you what you need to know he's out of Texas but traveling might be a adventure if ypu can't find anyone locally.

    This all should have been done already. So many tutorial vids on here that will teach you how to complete each project. Doesn't sound like y'all want to put in the work tbh. Should have put the money towards supplies and hiring out the plumbing & electrical tasks, while doing the manual labor yourselves.
