- Shauna (Abuse, Violence, Depression) Shauna was born to a mother who wasn't ready for the challenges of parenthood. Her mom went through several partners until landing with Stan and bringing two more children into the world. Shauna was a reminder of her past mistakes and as a result, she was neglected and beaten. Thrown out of the house at 18, Shauna starts using drugs and grows severely depressed. When she meets the man who will one day be her husband, he introduces her to the story...

Me too, I was 12 and now 58. My sister and I were grounded to our room for over a year. We don't even know what we did to this day. Our step mom had mental problems. We would pretend we were on a train (bunkbeds) and listened to unshackled, it was the only entertainment and we love that show today. So glad I can click unshackled to listen to at bedtime and through the night.Love this show, we would read the bible to each other after and play church...brings back comfort when I listen!

So thankful the Lord blessed Shauna with a brand new life in Christ after being rejected by those who should have loved and nurtured her. To be "accepted in the Beloved" through Jesus, is true love!
