"Ruan Mei obliterates Bronya" is a bit of a stretch but yeah for DHIL that's probably true. Together they are INSANE though especially for Jingliu. The most surprising thing about floor 12 imo is how it's pushing Fu Xuan beyond her limit for most people. I literally had to drop her for Gepard to get my 36*, wind shear was just eating her alive! Well I guess Jingliu's drain wasn't helping either lol. I may have to end up rebuilding her for pure tank, her personal damage just isn't worth it. Luocha is my normal go-to for Jingliu's teams but he's hardlocked to first side now to deal with the self healing cringelords.
For the "selfhealing cringelords" you could try building pela, as her skill disables an enemy's buff and maybe try building another healer if luocha is your only one built

Her skill loses a lot of value if you don't use an ice DPS tho, it's not really worth it. At that point just do a 2-turn ult build with Tutorial and basic attack spam. Besides, it's not an AoE dispel like Luocha. The little ones the cringelord spawns will still revive (which messes with things like Seele's resurgence and wastes time in general). I have plenty of defensive units built, don't you worry. My Lynx is an absolute monster. Gepard, as mentioned in the OP is as well.
For me Fu Xuan is more than enough, I use Gepard on the other side. The problem is I haven't invested into another dps beside Seele, so needs a bit of work their. Now I'm building Xueyi just for that. If it is possible for me to clear with unbuilt Xueyi not 3 stars though, I can clear it with a fully built one.
i combo'd both my e1 bronya and RM for both jl and blade hypercarry, can definitely say those 2 in the same team is overkill, as I got 3 cycles for both team (blade for 1st half, then redo and jl for 2nd half)
Xueyi is only decent at E6. otherwise she isn't even as close at Seele's level in terms of damage. Also you need bronya cuz ur bread & butter with her is her "ULTIMATE" @@robinj4286
Ruan Mei is good but also it should be noted that the effect of this cycle of MOC does favour weakness breaking. So her being able to increase break efficiency does play into that.
but what if i told you ruan mei is one of the best support for dot teams :C breaks are huuuge for their damage.. unless kafka is the character you like the personality and look of the most you should prob grab ruan mei and skip kafka for black swan o:

RM has an amazing kit and I would love to have a great support for Blade (besides Bronya), but even after playing the last trailblaze quest I can't bring myself to care about her. Will skip, save for Black Swan and just hope for equally good harmony units in the future.
Defense shred actually has the opposite of diminishing returns, up until you cap it at 100%. The first 10% is roughly a 5% damage increase, 20% is roughly 11%, I think you reach parity somewhere around 60%, and 100% defense shred gives over 110% increase.

I'm not sure if you already know or not but I only just found out that in Star Rail in Boulder Town inside the Fight Club there's a special sandbag in the corner to the right of the entrance which starts a fight with 5 tanky enemies. It could be a nice place for dps showcases ^^
i'm skipping her just because i won't pull characters i don't like and if i could 36 star this current moc without any quantum/ice characters i should be fine. i do agree that her kit is cracked though, if they attached a character i liked to her kit i would definitely pulll
I’m really torn because I need another solo-sustain for my second team in MoC, but I also want Ruan Mei… I’ll probably just save for a Fu Xuan or Huo Huo rerun.
Besides the fact that she's a gigantic buffer to any team in the game, she synergizes so well with Bronya, it's not even funny. She's so sp positive, she makes bronya easy to manage every turn (especially with Jingliu). My favorite team (huohuo, jingliu, ruan mei, bronya) clears MOC 12 easily and both modes of SU with basically 5-7 blessings and the remembrance path (at E0 and no gacha LC except for e1 bronya)

I got her E1 just now, Back to saving now, She's so fun and I can run so many unit now just to break the enemy and keep delaying the enemies. So much fun and so easy to keep her buff.

Got Ruan Mei on her Banner release Day on 70 pity. But because I'm weak against Mommies with beautiful thighs, I pulled her again the other day and got her again on 70 pity, and she came along with a cute friend named Bronya. Now they're both E1. Never been so happy.
I was going to pull Kafka, but after seeing how cool Ruan Mei is, I decided to take a chance to pull her, because I was on 50/50 anyway. Ended up winning and I'm very happy about it. I couldn't have cleared MoC 12 without her. So glad I didn't skip
I was pulling for ruan mei in the start but decided to switch to blade since i really wanted him and i actually got him in a single, then while raising him i used the single pull i got from raising him 50 to pull on standard and got gepard! im gonna continue trying to go for ruan mei since she seems op, hopefully i get her
I really want black swan but i felt like ruan mei's kit is just too good to be true. I love when i can buff my entire team consistently with pretty much no downtime, and her damage+speed buff really helps Jing Yuan which i like alot

Crazy how much easier MoC is for whales. I had to finish leveling up and semi build my Sushang for MoC 10 Argentina, as I have no other ice or physical DPS. Took so many attempts and different team comps to pass 10. MoC 11 was worse, especially since it was just pray RNGesus to bless me, doing the same optimized rotations over and over again, as the only thing that I could 'optimize' more was the RNG, which is terrible gameplay mechanics. Gave up on 12, as I don't have FuXuan, Luocha or Jingliu. When you have shit luck and each limited 5 star is 150+ pulls, you end up with shit roster as a light spender (bought battlepasses at launch, as it was basically unplayable without them resource wise). Doesn't exactly motivate to ever spend more money on the game either. Played since release, have 4 limited 5-stars, Seele, SilverWolf, DanIL, RyanMei.
sorry not sorry ruan mei is a super good support but looking at my account its better if i pull for Sparkles because i want Dr ratios lightcone, Jing yuan's lightcone, Sparkles, Sam and his lightcone, Sunday, Gallagher and jing liu rerun so if i pull for ruan mei that will mess up my pulling plans :( Besides she is going to get a rerun its not the End of the World if people skip her im good ) gonna get ruan mei on her rerun though :D :D :D
Ruan Mei is so powerful that I got her lightcone for her and I don’t think I can replace her anymore now I just gotta hope I can get Kafka e1 without guaranteed or maybe sparkle or black swan

i am a relatively new player im lvl 38, i quit the game after blade’s first banner, i got e2 ruan mei and her light cone in around 60 pulls 😭 (i was called a liar earlier, i can provide u with ss from my history if u want xd)
As a f2p after getting lucky and gatting e1r1 ruan mei my jingliu is finally starting to hit 200k consistently outside of SU and thats with an unbuilt ruan mei
Ruan Mei is very good but you gotta remember that the current MoC "blessing" is just so stupidly broken for her. With any other of the previous blessings I don't think she'd be that much better than Bronya
Bruh the MoC buff is only damage per cycle last turn 💀 Almost everyone can benefit from it as long as you're breaking the enemy, which can be easily done by SW.
I don’t agree entirely, the only useful thing the moc buff has done for me is just barely clean up the mobs not a massive difference at least with my set ups
@fuumaruu7486 Ruan Mei almost doubles break efficiency (not the break effect!) and moreover keeps enemies in break state, which helps enourmously to accumulate those stacks. Any Ruan Mei teamcomp clears 11-12 MoC stages twice faster than teamcomp without Ruan Mei with literally any other buffer/debuffer.
@chinnerchilla you're playing it wrong it seems. You need to clear the mobs before the cycle ends so all of those stacks will hit big enemies. Those stacks do huge damage, 10 stacks on a single boss can almost one-shot the entire phase
I just got into the game and I only want Jingliu… I missed her because I played the game like a day before her banner ended. Not I don’t want Ruan Mei, but I want a good dps character for now because I only use the character they gave you until you go to encounter Svarog 😅
technically 160% break effect in stats page is enough cause of her passive htat gives 20% break to everyone (affects her too) which technically gets her up to 180%. Also getting the 5% er from penacony set and the energy from memories of the past / meshing cogs for a 3 turn ult, without getting 2 waves in, you might have to 4 turn ult with her sig
Ok i think you should use blade for first half cause he is a lot tankier and use sw bronya and luocha with him and for 2 nd half i used ruan mei huohuo jingliu and tingyun i promise this will work
I think I must be weird cuz I never pull for E6s or C6s on release banner ( in genshin case) I just want the character first and ill upgrade them using reruns later down the road
I got my e1 silver wolf at 10 pity Then got bailu in Ruan Mei banner at 40 pity And in the next 10 pull got Ruan Mei😂😂😂 I have never been this much lucky in a gacha game
For all the Genshin fans I'll keep it simple to understand. She's Kazuha, and I don't mean technicalities x does y diff, I mean she really has the same value, if you underrated or skipped Kazuha in 1.6 and felt the wait for the rerun then this is your redemption arc if you play Star Rail
swap fu xuan on your first phase of moc 12 since kafka deals so much aoe damage compare to the bug you just need a healer that can cleanse in the 2nd phase of it
As a newer F2P I got lucky with Huohuo on my 20th pull and so I used all the jades I had on Ruan Mei. Got her and her LC. I’m now gonna use all the pulls I can get to try to get her E1 lol.
You literally couldve just used HuoHuo (Harmony unit in Abundance disguise) in the first half, but yeh. Also, nahh, Bronya still better if its a Hypercarry team. Her extra turn equates to so much dmg. But it does drop off a bit, and only a bit, when shes used in a dual dps team compared to Ruan Mei, but Ruan Mei does thrive better in dual dps comps more. Especially DoT dps teams. But yeh, Ruan Mei also just feels like a preservation unit, since shs offers more survivability, meaning you dont need a healer, but if you have Fu Xuan, thats enough.
Got yanqing on her banner so now I'm stuck trying to figure out if I should use the guarantee on her or Sparkle. I'm a DHIL/Argenti/Jingyuan enjoyer so idk what to do.

This is basically my mantra to NOT pull for her and instead save up for Kafka ,,, BUT ITS BEEN SO HARDDDD

Doesn’t matter it happens at end of cycle has no effect on the fight at all it just cleans up the mobs at low hp and saves a cycle for most people

The new path with gold and gears made my jing liu hit 2mil and was able to do it 3 times in 1 turn, wild

MoC 11 was worse, especially since it was just pray RNGesus to bless me, doing the same optimized rotations over and over again, as the only thing that I could 'optimize' more was the RNG, which is terrible gameplay mechanics.
Gave up on 12, as I don't have FuXuan, Luocha or Jingliu. When you have shit luck and each limited 5 star is 150+ pulls, you end up with shit roster as a light spender (bought battlepasses at launch, as it was basically unplayable without them resource wise). Doesn't exactly motivate to ever spend more money on the game either.
Played since release, have 4 limited 5-stars, Seele, SilverWolf, DanIL, RyanMei.
sorry not sorry ruan mei is a super good support but looking at my account its better if i pull for Sparkles because i want Dr ratios lightcone, Jing yuan's lightcone, Sparkles, Sam and his lightcone, Sunday, Gallagher and jing liu rerun so if i pull for ruan mei that will mess up my pulling plans :( Besides she is going to get a rerun its not the End of the World if people skip her im good ) gonna get ruan mei on her rerun though :D :D :D
Unfortunately for me, I went for Blade. I tried getting Ruan Mei after, but obviously I failed.
Ruan Mei is so powerful that I got her lightcone for her and I don’t think I can replace her anymore now I just gotta hope I can get Kafka e1 without guaranteed or maybe sparkle or black swan

i am a relatively new player im lvl 38, i quit the game after blade’s first banner, i got e2 ruan mei and her light cone in around 60 pulls 😭

As a f2p after getting lucky and gatting e1r1 ruan mei my jingliu is finally starting to hit 200k consistently outside of SU and thats with an unbuilt ruan mei

Ruan Mei is very good but you gotta remember that the current MoC "blessing" is just so stupidly broken for her. With any other of the previous blessings I don't think she'd be that much better than Bronya

Almost everyone can benefit from it as long as you're breaking the enemy, which can be easily done by SW.
I don’t agree entirely, the only useful thing the moc buff has done for me is just barely clean up the mobs not a massive difference at least with my set ups
@fuumaruu7486 Ruan Mei almost doubles break efficiency (not the break effect!) and moreover keeps enemies in break state, which helps enourmously to accumulate those stacks. Any Ruan Mei teamcomp clears 11-12 MoC stages twice faster than teamcomp without Ruan Mei with literally any other buffer/debuffer.
@chinnerchilla you're playing it wrong it seems. You need to clear the mobs before the cycle ends so all of those stacks will hit big enemies. Those stacks do huge damage, 10 stacks on a single boss can almost one-shot the entire phase

Try dhil, pela, tingyun,huo huo first half and then try jingliu, bronya, ruan mei, fu xuan second half i got 8 cycles out of it

I just got into the game and I only want Jingliu… I missed her because I played the game like a day before her banner ended. Not I don’t want Ruan Mei, but I want a good dps character for now because I only use the character they gave you until you go to encounter Svarog 😅

I got her to E4 by pure luck and have a break effect of 268%. She absolutely shreds the sim universe
in floor 12, put huohuo in the first team, she will clear the dominated debuff with her skill
lost 50/50 to e1 bronya but was able to clutch up 78 tickets in 3 days because ive been suck a slacker and there was so much content to do 😅
technically 160% break effect in stats page is enough cause of her passive htat gives 20% break to everyone (affects her too) which technically gets her up to 180%. Also getting the 5% er from penacony set and the energy from memories of the past / meshing cogs for a 3 turn ult, without getting 2 waves in, you might have to 4 turn ult with her sig

Ok i think you should use blade for first half cause he is a lot tankier and use sw bronya and luocha with him and for 2 nd half i used ruan mei huohuo jingliu and tingyun i promise this will work

As a newer F2P I got lucky with Huohuo on my 20th pull and so I used all the jades I had on Ruan Mei. Got her and her LC. I’m now gonna use all the pulls I can get to try to get her E1 lol.

You literally couldve just used HuoHuo (Harmony unit in Abundance disguise) in the first half, but yeh.
Also, nahh, Bronya still better if its a Hypercarry team. Her extra turn equates to so much dmg. But it does drop off a bit, and only a bit, when shes used in a dual dps team compared to Ruan Mei, but Ruan Mei does thrive better in dual dps comps more. Especially DoT dps teams.
But yeh, Ruan Mei also just feels like a preservation unit, since shs offers more survivability, meaning you dont need a healer, but if you have Fu Xuan, thats enough.
Got yanqing on her banner so now I'm stuck trying to figure out if I should use the guarantee on her or Sparkle. I'm a DHIL/Argenti/Jingyuan enjoyer so idk what to do.
