- Axel Springer CEO Mathias Döpfner sat down with former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger in his last major TV interview. They discussed the pandemic’s effects on global politics, China’s rise as a world power, and the future of the European Union.
In his last TV interview, Kissinger said democracy is in 'great danger' from a declining middle class and growing inequality. So the plan has not faltered but alive and well.
The plan?
Inequality of ex-Redugee Henry. Once you understand the pain of a child you will understand the mockery
He has huge responsibility for these problems
@@ZachRULES96 His role was in foreign policy. He had nothing to do with domestic policy dude.
@@Tarly45he put in Pinochet who popularized neoliberalism

Kissinger getting to experience peace and tranquility-and passing away in his bed at age 100-after architecting death and destruction worldwide is proof that this country's warmongers are never held accountable for their murders. May the families and friends of his victims rest well tonight.
I imagine there is a special place for people who took advantage of their own kind.
God will take care of him he will pay praise God

I have never been a big fan of Kissinger. However, its fascinating to hear from people who clearly are morbidly obsessed with him, Nixon and the like. I really think they dream of them at night. Better if they use a fraction of their time working in their communities to improve the world their children and grandchildren will live in. No, usually they're just virtue signalers and self absorbed bloviaters,
Because you don't get what he did. Do you even take in the account how many people considering him as their savior and hero?
War Criminal on a grand scale. Even today, people still dying in Laos and Cambodia.
😭😭😭😭

Perhaps the case of East Timor hasn’t been mentioned in this interview… Pity. But I am sure that East Timor was in his Life Review after he crossed over to the other side.
How many people would have survived when he hadn't?
This man didn't deserve to die in peace!
Jimmy Carter out lived him 😂
@@HTV315 But remember that Carter was born more than a year AFTER Kissinger was born.
How so? After all this time had passed since he left public service and now you're showing your ugly look over his passing?
he didnt!! its a lie, he was tormented every single of his old age nights!

“Wanted to contribute to world order so freedom won’t be constrained” hahaha ok sure
nothing says "world order" like having millions slaughtered by your recommendations for US foreign policy.
yes, freedom, but only for such like him, not for ordinary people :)
Thank youfor this timely final interview by Professor Kissinger, Metternich of the USA.
Anthony Bourdain (RIP) said it best - "Once you've been to Cambodia you'll never stop wanting to beet Henry Kissinger to deth with your bare hands"
Bourdain also killed himself so I'd take who he wants dead with a grain of salt.
Anthony committed suicide in a shithole while Kissinger died surrounded by loved ones so all in all Henry’s a winner
If you think Bourdain killed himself you missed the memo on the pedophiles he was exposing. Your elite politico intelligentsia is a bunch of psychopathic serial murderers hoarding 99% of global resources for personal reward seeking and nefarious purposes.

100 years old and talk about vision and inspiration, sharp mind but had criminal record in the five continents.
Big respect, Mr. Kissinger 👍👋👌
Rest in hell to this 💩 war criminal!
His alertness and sharp mind is the most mesmerizing aspect for me! Imagine how confused any other normal human being would have been…with all the people he met and negotiated and dealt with - all over the world! Incredible!
As an WW2 American soldier, he witnessed how much Germans, not Nazis, were suffering and he did not feel the irrational vengefulness that some people had which eventually led to creating Israel in a foreign country, Palestine.
Zionists I presume. I mean, zionazis.
Yes it’s quite scary ! You would think there would be a minuscule of remorse somewhere , where he would have suppressed some of those conversations and negotiations that led to millions dying!
But nope, he is spot on !

Kissinger: War Criminal GOAT
Guess it's true only the good die young. Just think how so many young died because of this one man. Obviously a hawk hero.
You don’t know what you’re talking about. There was several times in the White House. When Richard Nixon was drunk. Completely wasted he would put in a command to start firing missiles to China 🇨🇳 it was a direct order. Someone in the pentagon called Henry Kissinger and he said that the president is drunk ignore the orders. This went on several times when Nixon was in office Henry saved the lives of the American people several times. No bull.
He lived 100 years while depriving hundreds of thousands of the privilage of living at all.
This last image of him will also be a lasting one: A twisted, slumbering, hag-ridden creature, burdened (I doubt, but hope) by the abject misery he brought to humanity.
Rest, but not in peace.
??????????
You described him just as I see him
.....International financial boycotts were the primary factors in the collapse of apartheid in South Africa.
The only way to end apartheid in Israel is to boycott them. And a one state solution is the answer..........
His last words should have been I am a mass murderer and a war criminal. People of those family members I have killed please forgive me for I am deeply sorry. But as you can see no such words came from him. R.I.P Mr. Kissinger.😢
Rest in hell , if there’s any , but remember this kissinger nickname is curse for anyone holding it

His last words were “fuck all the fags who hate me.” Died peacefully
Could someone tell me what he said at the end, I didn't hear.
Shame that I never saw a debate, where his policies were critiqued by his intellectual equal.
A rabid worm? Exact peer
Because, unfortunately, he had no intellectual equals. At least not when it comes to international relations.
Possibly true, although Ernest Mandell would have given him a ‘run for his money’

This man's consulting in the USA's foreign policy has led to the deaths of millions of people. I do not celebrate the death of anyone, but at least now he'll never be able to hurt people.

This entire interview needs subtitles. He is impossible to understand much of the time.
He owed South Vietnamese people an apology for betraying them.
I was already about to look up a clip of him speaking German, cause I realized id never actually heard him speak it, and then close to five minutes theres that question about his childhood. 5:28 this is irrelevant, and i know the dude was a century old, but i couldnt help but notice he couldn't have been only eight years old when Hitler came to power in Jan 1933; would've been nine going on ten.
Hitler was elected Chancellor in 1933 but he was obviously wielding quite a lot of political power in the couple of years leading up to being legitimately voted in.
He made his mind hard and cold after witnessing holocaust, the persecution of his own people . And the rejection and helplessness along with the widespread anti-Semitism in europe then. He said to himself that power and money are the two things that make people hear his voice seriously.
He influenced the Americam policy for the sake of him and israel.
I believe this cold attitude rooted from witnessing holocaust and helplessness he felt for his own people.
This is not a justification, but a strong reason
How much was he paid for this interview. Greed has no boundaries. Nazi in disguise 😂
It's a real shame that Anthony Bourdain did not live long enough to see this

I have read almost all your works. Diplomacy, World Order and Leadership are masterpieces. Bleeding heart liberals do not understand that effective statecraft implies taking tough, unpopular decisions that have consequences and cause collateral damage. Thank you for your role in US China relations, for contributing to winning the cold war exploiting the split between China and the USA, for your role in breaking the deadlock between Egypt and Israel. More controversially, thank you for ensuring that South America did not fall under communist influence. Thank you for the generosity that you have shown to Germany, at the time that the British and French wanted to punish Germany as they did after World War I, repeating the same mistakes. I am an admirer. I leave out references to Vietnam on purpose, because your actions can be interpreted in many ways. You however resolved a situation you inherited. A towering intellect. Rest in Peace.
The British certainly have a long history of punishing people who've committed no crimes, and it's clear that most Germans who carried out major war crimes had no ability to choose not to do them. While those who did have a choice should definitely have suffered the worst punishment imaginable, the rest were mere pawns swept up in the maelstrom of Nazi power.
Unlike at the end of WWII, when the Allies had complete power over Germany, this was not the case after WWI. In an effort to make up for that lack of a clear victor, Britain and France instituted harsh punitive measures that mainly harmed the everyday German, who had no say in any of the decisions of WWI. This led to discontent and resentment that created fertile ground for someone like Hitler to rise up from the ashes and wreak vengenance upon those who destroyed the nation he fought for. It's impossible to imagine someone of Hitler's character rising to such a high political position without the preconditions created by the Treaty of Versailles.
Easy Man
@@baranisi8893 Why? I'm referring to a trait that's found commonly in one group of people, and certainly others. It isn't attacking any individual because there are plenty of Brits who aren't like that as well. It's just that it is a commonly found trait among the British to condem others who haven't even committed even a single criminal act.
