I just realised if Zach got sentenced to death like in jail they would try kill him and he would be like “ok, stings a lil ig”

If you watched the anime, zack did get sentenced to death, but he escaped.

The reason is, your ears sort of block your own voice, so you won't harm your sense of hearing..

**This is just a theory, so please be respectful**
At the end of the anime, Zack doesn't just magically come to save Ray. Instead, Zack is executed as planned and Ray cannot bare the thought of him breaking his promise as he swore to god. Ray hallucinates Issac coming to fulfill his promise and stabs herself, the ending being a mere hallucination / dream of hers. This is an anime with a sad ending, in which our two beloved main characters both die and the anime ends. Sad I know- but I believe this was the creator of the anime's intention. To make it sad. However, feel free to make up some other theory where they both stay alive or something :D
