U hold the power button for 10-15 seconds.. For mine its 10 secnds but for some its 15 seconds

If you’re lucky, you could have an S-Pen
Hold the power button and say "open settings". and if you dont have that option on, which you should because it's very helpful. And if you dont just say "hey google" or "ok google", "open settings". That should work as long as you don't say it near a google speaker!
Use a wired mouse and an OTG adapter, but if the OTG setting is not turned on, you're doomed. 🤣

It's very difficult to do the things you suggest if your touchscreen doesn't work.
you can soft reset with buttons if your phone has those.
Something that worked for me on my Samsung was pressing the power button and that would let you talk to Bixby or your phone assistant. Then you tell it to reset your phone and you say you are sure this works and you don't have to touch your screen when it does not work.
Factory reset in the options of a phone that the touchscreen is unresponsive. So how exactly do you do that if it's unresponsive?

I think you can do that by pressing the power button and volume down button at the same time and work from there. Look it up if you're unsure.
@@KennyGuite It's power button plus volume up button and press that for like 20 seconds. Then use volume buttons to move up or down to the thing that says "factory reset" and press power button to select, then after it's done do the same to "reboot device" which will still be at the top of the menu open.
Factory reset didn't fix my phone. I will take it to a repair shop :(

This is so helpful, mine doesn't react to touch every other time and sometimes reacts even when i'm not touching it, i usually just turn it off and on again but it's been happening way too many times and if it doesn't stop after changing the sensitivity i would change my screen protector
Having the same problem with mine. It will not let me touch no buttons it won't let me slide it up to answer the phone but it'll come on but I can't cut it off with a button touchscreen

My cell phone barely function . I can turn cell off or dail out or answer it. You can dial my phone number and my phone will ring but I.cant answer it

well i basically just hit the screen hard (which i wont recommend) i hit the screen in front and at the back like 20 times and then i opened my phone then i quickly turned off the "increase touch sensitivity" hope it helps!

this is a very late response but just hold the power button until you see the phone restart and the google logo comes. Then you can let it go. That is a soft reset!

Another big way to speed up any android phone is to clear your cache and RAM. It's crazy some people don't know this in the modern tech age but regularly cleaning your phone makes a huge difference. I'd recommend at least once a day using a free RAM cleaning app but if you use your phone heavy, twice or three times isn't a bad idea.
Clearing cache is useful but it's pointless to clear ram on old phones like the Samsung J7 that I have sitting around in the house. ram will simply get full again due to the usage of system files

So i reset the phone, and its working again. After some time on my phone it just glitches completley again.
I am using huwaei p smart 2021. My phone was on charge after I remove the cod. My power button was not working after some time screen light turn on but the touch wasn't working totally. I force restart my phone then it works every thing was ok. I was using it for 5 minutes. Then when the screen light turn off the problem occurs again. Touch isn't working. Its just work one or two time after restarting or rebooting. I try safe mode, reboot and restart so many times but failed. pllzzz hlp 😭
I'm hoping someone can help me, the thing is, my phone screen does NOT respond to touch in any way shape or form and i don't have a power button, like the actual button fell out, I can use a little tool to press in the power button slot to turn it on, and I can hold that and the volume button to "reset" it but i have to click reset on my screen and I can't do that, I have no idea what to do. I had dropped my phone in water the other day and I thought it'd be the water messing it up, but I've had my phone in rice for a while, the screen will respond SOMETIMES, on and off, one minute it'll work the next it won't. If someone could help me that'd be great.

The screen protector quality actually majorly affects the performance and the accuracy. So make sure you get one with a good glass material.
Yes! especially where there are cracks. Most times it will not register your finger touches at all in those areas. And sometimes it will.

@@paulyares88 well I bet that's the caused of it, cuz my phone literally kept falling on the ground. So I was thinking probably the LCD damaged the touch sensitivy sensor or sum kind of stuffs that was also connected to the power switch button. If it was the LCD all along, well I should change it.
@@paulyares88 my LCD seal on the bottom of my phone is not attached no more lmao so I must buy an adhesive glue to re attach it. And I hope that solves my problem. Because getting a new LCD would cost me a lot.

just a quick something, you may need to restart the phone more than 1 time for it to start working again it took 5 restarts for me. also turn it off by holding the volume down and power button.
some times it takes more than 20 for me sometimes first try

I got the new update 12 yesterday. Got the same problem...screen not responding...I was just being able to scroll navigation bar down. Restarted phone many times but in vain. But I realised where the problem was. If you guys are using "always on edge" app...just disable it...everything will become normal. I've done it...but it sucks you wont be able to use AOE again. Now its solved for me

My wife has an "android not responding to touch" which is how I found this and it seems the video is wrongly labeled. The phone you have does respond to touch otherwise you will not be able to reboot or anything else.

I got a S20 plus, and it's glass was cracked, and occasionaly it didn't work touchscreen, and the upper part of it is totally dead for touch, but it appears image. So i spread a tiny bit of isopropilic (99,8) alcohol and a bit of salt. i spread very gently into the glass cracks and surprisingly it works better, the upper part is stil dead to touch, but the lower ones are way better now, i can almost use-it normally using a mini bluetooth keyboard with mouse pad function
