Great podcast. She's a wonder on this world. To me she is like a musical eclipse, where she passes you can't hear the original anymore, her versions tend to be a true cover, in the sense they come over the original to the point where you see the song as hers. She is a fortunate mix of unequalled talent with high level professional guidance and education and a good work ethic. May she find love and health in life so she can nuture her gifts to their full potential. Although she could stop singing tomorrow and she would stay a musical legend. But she has obviously so much more to give.

When she performed Yodel on The Voice Kids Russia she had a lucky escape! Thank God they didn't understand what they had performing in front of them! IF she had been chosen she may have drifted into obscurity, never to have been heard of again! They asked her to sing another song after and she stunned them with Édith Piaf's je ne regrette rien. THEN they knew they had made the biggest mistake of their careers! (Thankfully!!) So in the case with Yodel time, the judges said that the reason they didn’t turn is they had no idea that she can do anything else but yodel. They literally said if only we knew you can do different styles of singing. The guy judge with grey hair said if he was to become her mentor in the show he wouldn’t know what next song to steer her to from the yodel. So it sound like they just got stuck into thinking “I don’t know what to do with this contestant if was her mentor” and that is why they didn’t turn, even though all of them admitted out loud that she has an incredible singing technique.

Да, Диана сама говорила в каком-то интервью, что впадает в транс, когда начинает петь, ничего не видит вокруг, как бы выпадает из реальности. У меня у самой было такое ощущение, когда впервые услышала и увидела Диану на сцене. Мне показалось, что она находится в трансе. Дробыш говорил на "Ты супер!", что Диана не ждёт, когда члены жюри нажмут на заветную кнопку, как другие дети, её это вообще не волнует, полностью отдаётся музыке и приходит в себя, когда песня заканчивается. Just listen to how she could "capture and carry you away" at such a young age by simply performing this composition on the equipment of a random street musician while walking along the embankment. Wonderful time spent with you both and Diana always. Sometimes with an artist it is also important to understand their path and their character, especially in a case like Diana. She, it so happens, is a mind boggling case, where the choices made in her career (her voice has been noticed for a good 7 years at least) do not conform to any stereotype whatsoever. In addition, her down to earth, sweet and smart personality makes her all the more endearing. Absolute respect and admiration not only for her voice but her person. This is also a rarity. Dedicated and knowledgeable fans like Kwstas can provide more insight but it’s worth learning about. Also, Diana is one of very few artists who sings live and has no problems doing things acapella, sometimes just off the cuff. But there are many videos of her doing Rechenka acapella. Singing live live is difficult as it is (she can sing up to 18 songs live at her concerts), to a backing track also difficult as you cannot be off on timing at all (idiots who comment on this do not understand the perfect timing that is required) and then add acapella which is an impossibility in this day and age for most

This was made possible because Igor Krutoy gifted Diana and her family an apartment in Moscow to attend higher education.

There are many who don’t like jodeling because they don’t understand how difficult that is and the song was most in german - so they didn’t understand her abilities and didn’t understand the language. So to say, they had no clue 😅 As an austrian I can confirm her jodeling was on point and her german was really good. Also you have to consider she spoke 3 languages in this show. С 5 лет с Дианой больше постановкой речи занимались с помощью вокала, а не самим вокалом. Она же практически до 3-х лет не говорила!... Так что в 5 лет вокал был только инструментом для развития речи, а не целью развития вокала...

Эта проблема - не первая; было ещё, как минимум, удаление этой песни из эфира "Авторадио". Здесь, как мне кажется, есть неурегулированные отношения "Газпром-медиа" (которому принадлежат и НТВ, и "Авторадио") с М. Фадеевым - одним из самых влиятельных людей в нашем шоу-бизнесе. Но мне больше по душе другое предположение, более изящное: автор этой замечательной песни просто испытывает досаду от того, что версия в исполнении Дианы Анкудиновой и выглядит поинтереснее, но главное - звучит намного лучше оригинала. Неплохая - не более того - певица Линда, продукт творческого озарения М. Фадеева, попросту была не способна демонстрировать те вокальные красоты, что мы услышали от Дианы Анкудиновой. Кавер оказался лучше оригинала - это случается. В любом случае, автору "Вороны" следовало бы гордиться тем, что такое впечатляющее зрелище удалось создать именно из его песни...

I have been following her for five years and I love music 🎼 but she takes it to another level. I subscribed because she has some Incredible Original Songs. She has ALWAYS impressed me with her vocal tone and range. She won several competitions where IGOR participated as a judge…thus he purchased an apartment for her so she could attend an ARTS University. She was denied with her first choice and I seen from several comments during the “DUNE” cover two of the Instructors from that University were in attendance. Diana has been attending GITIS University and is graduating or has. I know that she’s very close to her forever Mom and during her first performance on the Show Must Go On she talked about her adopted father passing. Thank you both 🫶🏽 for taking the time out to react to beautiful Diana. I listen to many Filipino Artists from the Philippines…they are also incredibly talented.
Diana Ankudinova is a student at the variety department of GITIS - the Russian Institute of Theater Arts. Probably, many already know that she recently successfully passed the winter session, following which she was transferred to the fifth year.
First song: 1. She is Russian and don't speak English. 2. She was interviewed in a radio station and they asked her to sing live without preparation. 3. Nothing to add.
Abused and abandoned by her mother, then abandoned a second time by her aunt, because she feared her language delays was a mental deficiency, then lost in an russian orphanage where she was in despair, when miraculously a wonderful woman adopted her and provided her singing lessons to correct her disability, she not only learned to sing for fun but to literally save her skin. Her adoptive mother would never have abandoned her, but at just four years old, Diana was surely afraid that her nightmare would start again. She learned to sing by devoting all her energy to it so as to no longer be abandoned and I guess she understood people would love her if she show her skill. As she is extremely gifted the result is prodigious.
Your reaction to "Yodel Time" was interesting and accurate. The male judges were quoted as saying they had used up their opportunities to turn, which turned out to be untrue, and they never judged in the next contest, or any other, after that year. The younger man just had Diana on stage for one duet with him at a concert last month, 7 years after he rejected her. She kept him at a distance with a subtle arm move. The woman invited her to sing with her in her very next concert and apologized publicly. I don't even bother with their names now. And your are certainly correct that her yodeling was far more technically challenging. She used that skill so well in other songs during the "You Are Super" series. Thanks for your fine reactions. 👍👍

Да, Диана сама говорила в каком-то интервью, что впадает в транс, когда начинает петь, ничего не видит вокруг, как бы выпадает из реальности. У меня у самой было такое ощущение, когда впервые услышала и увидела Диану на сцене. Мне показалось, что она находится в трансе. Дробыш говорил на "Ты супер!", что Диана не ждёт, когда члены жюри нажмут на заветную кнопку, как другие дети, её это вообще не волнует, полностью отдаётся музыке и приходит в себя, когда песня заканчивается. Была на концерте Дианы, я в полном восторге от её выступления. Будет возможность, постараюсь ещё раз попасть на её концерт!

When you were flipping through the playlist, one wonderful song "I'm not there" ("Там нет меня") performed by Diana at the age of 12 caught your eye. It's in Russian, but in this case the language is not important. Just listen to how she could "capture and carry you away" at such a young age by simply performing this composition on the equipment of a random street musician while walking along the embankment. In the video in the playlist, she is standing in a short azure dress.

Wonderful time spent with you both and Diana always. Sometimes with an artist it is also important to understand their path and their character, especially in a case like Diana. She, it so happens, is a mind boggling case, where the choices made in her career (her voice has been noticed for a good 7 years at least) do not conform to any stereotype whatsoever. In addition, her down to earth, sweet and smart personality makes her all the more endearing. Absolute respect and admiration not only for her voice but her person. This is also a rarity. Dedicated and knowledgeable fans like Kwstas can provide more insight but it’s worth learning about. Also, Diana is one of very few artists who sings live and has no problems doing things acapella, sometimes just off the cuff. But there are many videos of her doing Rechenka acapella. Singing live live is difficult as it is (she can sing up to 18 songs live at her concerts), to a backing track also difficult as you cannot be off on timing at all (idiots who comment on this do not understand the perfect timing that is required) and then add acapella which is an impossibility in this day and age for most

FYI Diana plays piano and ukulele. Attended music school for 8 years as a child, not including the 4 years she is now completing at Gitis. This was made possible because Igor Krutoy gifted Diana and her family an apartment in Moscow to attend higher education.

С 5 лет с Дианой больше постановкой речи занимались с помощью вокала, а не самим вокалом. Она же практически до 3-х лет не говорила!...

Большой респект хозяевам канала за повторную загрузку этого очень ценного эфира (из-за проблем с песней "Ворона"). Эта проблема - не первая; было ещё, как минимум, удаление этой песни из эфира "Авторадио". Здесь, как мне кажется, есть неурегулированные отношения "Газпром-медиа" (которому принадлежат и НТВ, и "Авторадио") с М. Фадеевым - одним из самых влиятельных людей в нашем шоу-бизнесе. Но мне больше по душе другое предположение, более изящное: автор этой замечательной песни просто испытывает досаду от того, что версия в исполнении Дианы Анкудиновой и выглядит поинтереснее, но главное - звучит намного лучше оригинала. Неплохая - не более того - певица Линда, продукт творческого озарения М. Фадеева, попросту была не способна демонстрировать те вокальные красоты, что мы услышали от Дианы Анкудиновой. Кавер оказался лучше оригинала - это случается. В любом случае, автору "Вороны" следовало бы гордиться тем, что такое впечатляющее зрелище удалось создать именно из его песни...

I think her most emotional song that she has sung is "The Ornery Horses" by Vladimir Vysotsky, which she herself said was a very difficult composition to sing, but if you wacth it I am sure you will agree a very emotional song for both singer, and listner. love the reactions.👍
remember this is a 10 yr old Russian girl singing Perfect English, Dune, her flips off the end of her notes are her yodel techniques she uses often.. BTW this Binge format for one artist is awesome. Yodel Time, reportedly is was a political decision not to turn around for Diana..but they blamed it on song choice. Crime of the Century, D6 on the Day You.

I have been following her for five years and I love music 🎼 but she takes it to another level. I subscribed because she has some Incredible Original Songs. She has ALWAYS impressed me with her vocal tone and range. She won several competitions where IGOR participated as a judge…thus he purchased an apartment for her so she could attend an ARTS University. She was denied with her first choice and I seen from several comments during the “DUNE” cover two of the Instructors from that University were in attendance. Diana has been attending GITIS University and is graduating or has. I know that she’s very close to her forever Mom and during her first performance on the Show Must Go On she talked about her adopted father passing. Thank you both 🫶🏽 for taking the time out to react to beautiful Diana.

Abused and abandoned by her mother, then abandoned a second time by her aunt, because she feared her language delays was a mental deficiency, then lost in an russian orphanage where she was in despair, when miraculously a wonderful woman adopted her and provided her singing lessons to correct her disability, she not only learned to sing for fun but to literally save her skin. Her adoptive mother would never have abandoned her, but at just four years old, Diana was surely afraid that her nightmare would start again. She learned to sing by devoting all her energy to it so as to no longer be abandoned and I guess she understood people would love her if she show her skill. As she is extremely gifted the result is prodigious.

The male judges were quoted as saying they had used up their opportunities to turn, which turned out to be untrue, and they never judged in the next contest, or any other, after that year. The younger man just had Diana on stage for one duet with him at a concert last month, 7 years after he rejected her. She kept him at a distance with a subtle arm move. The woman invited her to sing with her in her very next concert and apologized publicly. I don't even bother with their names now. And your are certainly correct that her yodeling was far more technically challenging. She used that skill so well in other songs during the "You Are Super" series. Thanks for your fine reactions. 👍👍
