I was anxious about retirement too, so I opened a Roth and I just do automatic transfers every week! I don’t even notice it gone from the budget - same with ally! Just a thought💛

Hey once you finish paying off your hospital bill that extra 💵 could be put into your retirement and future house down payment. Your finished saving challenges could also go towards them.😊
Would you ever consider taking say $100 from your hospital bill fund once it's paid and putting it towards your future house savings? It does feel like a mountain of money to save but once it moves up the priority list and gets bigger amounts it can be such a motivator to keep going!

Just an idea but the place holder you have in your savings that shows the amount in the account you could make up a ‘balance banked’ placeholder with a line or something to write in how much is in the bank. I would definitely snap up something like that if you had that in your shop

I love your videos Savannah! I've seen people have a few specific catagories with their savings challenges. Maybe have one that is continually for retirement. Then you will feel like your contributing to it more. Just an idea.🌿

If you wanna contribute more to retirement you could use some of the savings challenges once they're completed
I think for retirement they say - as a rule of thumb- to do 15 percent of your earnings. Maybe when your gotten rid of the medical bill you can try and achieve that in the near future. Also instead of a savings account aren’t there college savings accounts for kids with some tax benefits of sthg. - I’m not from the US, so I haven’t really looked into it. Is that an option for your son?
