The restaurant I worked at played this on their soundtrack and for years I’ve wondered who sings this. Literally four years of trying to shazam this song but every time it came on I’d have a new table to greet. One day after a long day after driving home I was about to park and exit the car when it came on the radio. I sat in the dark late at night, shazamed it and felt finally at peace. So happy I could die..
Some of my favorite memories came from working at Hollister in the early/mid 2010s with all the friends I made/great times we had. This song was on the last soundtrack before I quit to leave for dental school, and now I'd give anything to go back to those days. Doubly true when I listen to this song

I was stationed in San Diego for 3.5 Years on the USS Ranger. This song makes me think about Mission Beach at midnight, the smell of Square Pan Pizza coming down the street meeting the smell of good weed coming up from the ocean and being caught in between with love in my heart and a dream in my hand..., I have been where this song comes from and I wish I could go back..., It was a real dream that made me live and live so wonderfully away from my ship and the hard times there.

I lived in California all my life and never left the state until about 3 weeks ago when I hopped on a plane kinda on a whim and moved out to a different state. I miss so much about California. Listening to this on a night drive on the 5 freeway and staring at the sky, ocean and buildings. I miss it there. I'll come back someday.

Really loving this song both lyrically and musically. After moving to California last year, one of the things I love most about this state is taking in the gorgeous sunsets.

I finally found this song! When it came out KCRW in Los Angeles would play it and will transport me, I was living by the beach in Marina del Rey/Venice and had many years of magical moments with my ex-wife there. I loved her and this song so much, that I wanted to make a music video for it, and I started actually doing the shots. Some of them when filming drones just came out. One day I will finish it and post it. Thank you for the great memories and tunes. Love you.

Cali has its share of issues and isn't perfect, literally like every other state and country. But I'll always be thankful that I both grew up, and continue to live, here. From deep south San Diego to NorCal to Eureka. I love this anthem to the state for those of us who love it.
Amazingly, this song captures the feeling i had living in Cali. I moved to the bay area in the late 90's and I just remember the warm nights, the sweet scents, and the great people.
I remember going camping & cruising in scenery just like the video on my bike stoned af & listening to this, it's truly magical 💗
How do you even conceptualize a song like this in your mind? I mean, this is so organizationally perfect, harmonically perfect, a total gem. My god, tripping without drugs perfect!

This is what I listened to when leaving texas after we sold our home and headed west to WA state. Best times. Now it sucks but looking back it was the good days. Will relive these again. Yeah, I fell in love with Best Coast's lo-fi sound on their first album too, but I'm much more interested in the evolution of their sound and the direction of their music. They keep on going to interesting places and based off their latest single I think they're going somewhere exciting.
