- We have a day to cram in all the iconic sites of the Seattle waterfront into a single sightseeing adventure. We also wanted to do Seattle on the cheap. Here is a look at the day including the Seattle Space Needle, an Argosy Harbor Cruise, Chihuly Glass and Gardens, the Museum of Pop Culture, the Crab Pot and more. This land adventure is part of our Carnival Spirit Alaskan cruise.

Long before there was a Chihuly Glass and Gardens (late 1970's), I visited the original facility and witnessed the glass being blown. Dale, Chihuly himself was unable participate due to injuries, however, he personally directed the glass being blown. It was wonderful to be witness to this amazing pieces being produced in front of us. Never to be forgotten.
I found the Seattle City pass to be an incredible value. We opted for the zoo over the MOPOC. I have to say that you cheated yourself out of one of the best aquariums I have ever been to. I learned more in 10 minutes in that aquarium than any zoo or other aquarium I have visited. I was just as excited at 55 years old to experience touch scallops, stingrays and amenities as any kid in the place. If you ever find your self back in Seattle you will not be disappointed by a visit there.
One of my best memories of Seattle was dining at the revolving restaurant during a Seahawks game. We saw the flashing lights and had to ask our waitress what was going on and she said the Seahawks scored a touch down.
That rotating glass floor used to be a restaurant, the Eye Of The Needle, when the Needle opened in 1962. You could sit and watch the city landscape go by during your meal. It took 47 minutes to go around one full time.
I’m impressed by how many attractions you got to in one day!! The city pass sounds like the way to go, especially if you have a couple days to spend in Seattle and can hit up all the places included with the pass.
Agree they did great! and a rental car? I find I spend more time looking for parking. 😀
Chihuly Glass looks amazing! Thank you Tony and family for showing us some highlights of Seattle.
Bob and I are having serious FOMO! Missing you Jenny and the rest of the Freeze Your Bagaak off crew!
Chihuly GLass would be my number one pick.. - It is just beautiful art; we have a building/condo here in Vancouver, across the street, from where we live, that has one of these exhibits.. - It is outside the building, surrounded by glass, and is about 4 stories high.. - They are flowers of all sorts of colours and size.. - Just an amazing piece of art.. - Then I’d pick the Space Needle.. - You got a lot of sightseeing in one day,, and I think you definitely got your money’s worth.. - Have fun in Alaska,, happy cruising Tony and co. 🌷
Chihuly is always my favorite and the Space Needle is a must (In my opinion). I also never pass up a museum. I’d skip the aquarium. But I live a couple hours away and have done all of them, multiple times 😉. But I always go to Pikes Place first.
When the Space Needle was finished building, the city advertised a special event for photographers. After dark a helicopter with floodlights flew up one side of the Needle and down the other to light it up all around. We all set up on the indicated side a long distance away, and took the shot as time exposures, with dark background.
Next time you’re here, hit up the Museum of Glass in Tacoma. More Chihuly and other great artists.
And walk across the bridge over the train tracks. More Chihuly glass on the bridge.
We did the Citypass and did the Space Needle, Chihuly, the aquarium, and the harbor cruise. For us, it was a fantastic deal! I had purchased mine months before and booked our times in advance.
The glass museum looks amazing, and the sculptures are beautiful. Have a great day
I was just cruising end of may and did the C3 pass (3 places instead of 5) and went to the needle, chihuly, and museum on flight We opted for the MoPOP additionally (the only thing not included in the C3) it’s a great way to see places.
I celebrated my 13th birthday at the Seattle worlds fair 1962 Have eaten in the Resturant several times. Love that they have kept most of the fair grounds Thx for sharing Seattle. I was born in the Nw Wenatchee wa. Live your channel
We may only have a few hours in Seattle this September before our train ride to Vancouver to catch our Alaskan cruise ship. I am very excited to glean some knowledge from you folks….but now I see you are choosing the Chahuly Glass and our Missouri Botanical Gardens has a unique display of this beautiful glass. I will knock that one off at home!
Should have hit Pike Place Market/waterfront! And gotten lunch at Ivars. Seattle Aquarium is on the waterfront and not too far from Ivars. You did Seattle Center/Space Needle which is cool. Maybe a ferry ride across the Sound and back. P.S. I am a Seattle native, and still love the market!
They used to have gorgeous chihuly at the Bellagio in Vegas, and Biltmore in Asheville had an amazing garden exhibit a few years ago.
I've never really been a tourist in my own city of Seattle, so it's kind of fun to see you and how you react to things for things that we take for granted living in Seattle. And when you were at the space Needle, the lower deck used to be a restaurant. And for us locals we could ride up to the restaurant for free and then walk up those stairs up to the observation deck and it didn't cost anything. But I'm glad you enjoyed Seattle and now you're enjoying your trip to Alaska. Enjoy! Safe travels
Trying to be positive, but I never visit. It's cool to see the sparkle in folks when the see Seattle the same way I feel in other cities like NYC/Boston/London - all place with great transportation 😀😀
The instrument you were hearing is called an er'hu which is a Chinese musical instrument that's played sitting down with a bow sort of like a cello, but has a higher register like a violin. It sounds very melodic and really resonates. This looks like an immensely fun time! I've got to check out the CityPass next time I'm in Seattle!
Chihuly did an exhibit at Kew Gardens in London. It was brilliant. There was sculptures all over the garden as well as the exhibit indoors.
This was awesome!! Thank you so much for taking us along!
What a wonderful visit! Thank you for taking us along!
I love Chihuly and have been there twice. The Space Needle is a good choice especially on a clear day when you’re able to see Mt. Rainier.
Man, I truly have no clue how you get through this much filming and editing with all that going on!
Wow! Such gorgeous installations and glass! Thanks for this onshore treat!
Looks like a great time. I always learn something new from your videos, and I really appreciate that aspect of your content. Looking forward to the next video 😊
Tony & Jenny……Just beautiful, thank you so much for sharing the glass blowing with
us!’
Thank you for taking us along on your sightseeing day in Seattle. Enjoy your Alaskan cruise
Thank you so much for including the Chihuly exhibit. I've seen a couple of small exhibits of his and they are simply amazing! Have a great time!
Loved this video sampling of Seattle attractions, especially the Chihuli glass footage! Thank you!
Thanks Tony and Family for sharing your Seattle experience with us, great info. We will definitely consider the City Pass when we visit Seattle!
I'm so happy the two of you are cruising together ❤️
Have fun!
Wow!!! Thanks for introducing me to Chihuly!!! And seeing the rest of what you did in Seattle - I’m ready to go back.!! 🚢🚢🚢
Love all the Chihuly glass!!! 😍 Definitely going there when we make it to Seattle.
Thanks for sharing this information with us and enjoy ❤️
It’s really great to see the 2 of you together enjoying the sights. We have an Alaska cruise out of Seattle next year.
Chihuli definitely, thanks so much for sharing.
When we returned from our Alaska trip we had a full day in Seattle and we did the glass it was amazing nothing I have ever seen before so all your pics were exactly what I filmed I loved it. We also did the space needle, I love watching your vlogs n I’m glad your honey can join you on this adventure
We did the CityPass in Seattle after our Alaska cruise a couple of weeks ago and I found it was definitely worth the money. We got all five of our attractions in and some extras and we were only there for three days. We did the Space Needle, Chihuly Gardens & Glass, and the Museum of Pop Culture all in one day easily (they are very close together). We did the waterfront attractions on another day, including the excellent harbor cruise and the aquarium. We also rode Wings Over Washington and the Great Seattle Wheel, which are right between the harbor tour and the aquarium.
Thank you for bringing us along. Enjoy your time with the bro, bros wife and Mrs. B🎉
Thanks Tony that was fun Good to see Jenny too !
Hi Tony ❤ looks beautiful, what an amazing place to visit !! Enjoy your Alaskan cruise 🚢
Bellagio Vegas has a whole ceiling of Chihuly glass flowers
Adore your NW vids here..LOVE it there..LOVE Chihuly, love glass...so heavenly. Thank YOU!! Love your vids so much..keep me happy. Have not seen this new exhibit...sis has at my suggestion and loved it too. Thank you for not writing Seattle off with all the struggles..NW is my second home. Had to move back to family in MT...but sure would like to pop up there for a cruise. Have not been to Bellagio..in Vegas,,heard they had a big permanent decor exhibit...he is blind in one eye,,,so he works so with his students to create and i love that...One sis went to Space Needle in mom's tummy at the World's fair when it was built!!! Thank you thank you..I am updated...
Really enjoyed seeing some highlights of Seattle. The city pass sounds good, especially if you have 2 days. Loved the view at the bend of the fjord and the glacier. Hope you, Jenny, Sarge and Heidi have a wonderful cruise.
LOVE Chihuly, we sat and watched the video's they had, SO interesting. Too bad the theater was closed. If I remember correctly you can find them on line. The displays are amazing and the outside areas aren't that big.
I wish you an awesome and safe cruise with your family.
Wow that looks like a lot of fun. City Pass is a great savings. We've never been to Seattle but after seeing your video, it looks like a great place to visit.Thank you for all of the information.
We’re doing an Alaska cruise in September and are planning to visit Chihuly and do an underground tour. Even more excited now after watching your video!
Hi Tony, Jenny and family. Sounds like the city pass is a good deal. Especially if you have 1or 2 day's to see thing's. The Space Needle looks very cool and a definite must do. That glass... Absolutely beautiful! As always thank you for all you do.
Looks like you’re getting your steps in. Keep it up my friend.
Just have to say you have great timing. I am orientating for an Alaska cruise out of Seattle and was wondering what I was gonna do all day before embarkingday. And now I have a pretty good idea. Tnx!
That was great. You chose all the locations I would have chosen to visit. Can’t wait to get to Seattle!
Thanks for sharing, hope you're having a great time.
I grew up in Seattle, all are really great choices.
Yes he did.
One of my favorite things in Las Vegas was the glass ceiling at the Bellagio Hotel, made by the world famous glass artist Dale Chiluly. It's right by the entrance, in the main lobby dominating the entire area. You cannot enter the hotel with
We used the city pass in 2019, it was great🎉 We also saw the glass museum, Space needle, and other locations. I believe we did the math beforehand and felt it was worth it😊 Looks like you have amazing weather for your cruise! Have a wonderful time❤
Hi Jenny B❤ So glad to see you with your hunny ! Love it when you are together ❤💜🪴
We did the City Pass when we visited Seattle. Best value. We also did the day/night space needle which was also included in the city pass.
Seattle is one of my most favorite cities to visit! The needle was incredible!
I’ve seen Chihuly exhibits in Colorado Springs, Denver, and Las Vegas, and still planning to visit the museum when we are in Seattle before our cruise!
Love Chihuly glass. Can't wait to see it!!!
Thanks for sharing your trip! I'm hoping to make it out to Seattle in the next year or so to do some sightseeing myself!
I work for an architectural engineering firm that specializes in custom steel & glass structures. We designed, fabricated and installed the atrium at 4:38 (not the fancy blown glass, just the structural steel & glass building that holds it up!) and a couple of the interior displays and i love seeing pictures and videos of it!
Thanks for showcasing my city. The City Pass is an incredible value. We've done all of the things you did except the Chihuly museum (but we've done the Tacoma one). Looks like we need to do it once again! We're behind you a month in doing an Alaska Cruise. See you in the Lido.
Thank-u for posting
I would have skipped MOPOC of the ones you listed. In order, I would have done the cruise, the Seattle Aquarium, the Woodland Park Zoo, Chihuly, the Space Needle, and finally MOPOC. Lived in the area for 20 years, and it's still the home of my heart. I miss it. Glad you got to hang out for a while. Down in Tacoma, you can tour the place where the Chihuly glass is blown -- and blow some glass yourself. It's super cool.
That glass museum was gorgeous! What a nice deal. Thanks for that info.
I'm originally from Washington (live in TX, now), and I love the aquarium, as well as Dale Chihuly's work. There's also a place where you can watch glass blowers at work - it's pretty cool to see
That was interesting day trip in Seattle. I love visiting Alaska so much. Enjoy.
should have gone to Anthony's for lunch. Totally the best!
Great to see you Jenny B
Thanks for letting us know about this. Going to Seattle in about 2 months and we planned to visit several of these attractions. Now we can save some $$.
Agree with Heidi about seeing Chuhuly in Seattle. Amazing!
I loved the glass thing in Seattle.
Thanks! Thats definitely on my list
I was there in may of last year (Celebrity Solstice), loved the aquarium and space noodle but my absolute favourite was the MoPop museum. The sci-fi and horror movie prop collection was real nice.
Thx for showing your tours, we got there only the day before our cruise and didn’t have time to enjoy those spots.
Wonderful day Tony!!!
Thanks for this video Mr. Tony
Thanks for sharing Tony! 🎉 we are planning our Alaska 2024 trip now
Wow, Tony - ya'll did a lot in less than a day!! My boyfriend and I went to Seattle several years ago and we did Chihuli, Space Needle and MoPOP but not in one day - plus, you did the harbor cruise!! That's craaaazy - crazy good, but ya'll are beasts!! Have a great time on your Alaskan Cruise!!
definitely Woodland Park Zoo! We love it so much.
Yes- saw it @ Atlanta botanical gardens outdoors as well
Seattle Space Needle, Argosy Harbor Cruise, Chihuly Glass and Gardens, and the Zoo are my favorites
Good choice to see the glass
There's also a glass exhibit in Phoenix at the botanical gardens! Just as beautiful!
Loved Seattle and the space needle area.
Chihuly Glass and Gardens was a great place to visit. Enjoyed our walk through in 2019
Chihuly, hands down! Excellent choice.
We just came back from our Alaskan cruise on the NCL Encore...we also did city pass..we ate at Crab Pot also..got the City Pass..we went to space needle in morning ND did it at sundown..was fantastic we did all 5 deff. Worth it to do city pass..we did city pass in San Francisco also..great value..stay safe!
The instrument they were playing outside is a Cambodian Tro (The tro is Cambodia's traditional spike fiddles, bowed string instruments that are held and played vertically. Spike fiddles have a handle that passes through the resonator, often forming a spike, on the bottom side where it emerges. The family is similar or distantly related to the Chinese erhu or huqin). Welcome to our home city! Love how well you fit everything in - good call to buy the city pass, have a car AND hit 3 of the places in the same area. Great idea to buy the pass.
Tony, what a full day of some awesome Seattle sites. You can visit some of the others next time because I'm sure you will return! Consider a tour of the Boeing Plant....so amazing! Pacific Science Center is cool. Great video!
Something to consider on a future trip Is to ride the Duck Boat. It was a great city tour as well as took us out on the lake.
Thanks for a wonderful day in Seattle
Wow, cool to see you in my neck of the woods! I haven't been to the Needle since they renovated it so that was cool to see. Also, haven't really been in MoPop since it was called EMP (Experience Music Project). Usual problem, unless you have out of town guests, you rarely see the sites in your own backyard. 🙂 Anyway, thanks for sharing!
I'm pretty sure I saw Chihuly glass at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas years ago. Beautiful artistry.
Missing the aquarium is a bummer as I found it a very good one - better than the National Aquarium in Baltimore. The rest of the places you visited were very good and the glass was stellar. A good choice for lunch too. Another great vlog. Keep 'em coming!
Greetings from down the road in Bonney Lake! Glad that your enjoying our neighborhood!
On our HAL Seattle stop in May, we were pleasantly surprised that we docked at the closer pier. We only had half a day so we walked up to Space Needle then walked over to the Aquarium. ❤
