One of the few guitarists to play Mertz on ten strings, as originally intended! I am trying to promote the true status of the classical guitar as ER (extended range) instrument, as well as having a significant song and chamber repertoire. To this end, I have created alink to this performance on my website Middle Ear Music, and hope that many people will be redirected to this fine version of the Fantasie Originale. Unfortunately, this piece and the final Gondolier movement of the Trois Morceaux are overshadowed by (usually truncated) performances of the Fantasie Hongriose.
