I think that pistols could be easily balanced by doing two things:
- Decreasing base accuracy
- Decreasing armor penetration
What do you think?
To hell with chest shooting, 5-7 can 1 tap and if not double tap and most ranges, all while having the movement speed and spread of a smg.
not a fan of the base accuracy idea because nothing is more frustrating than having your crosshair on their head and just missing cause of RNG. I think armor pen would be the best route, then a tad nerf to the running inaccuracy, but not much as if the pistols are like the deagle and required you to be stationary while shooting, no one would ever buy pistols and just wait for SMGs

But the thing is that pistols IRL kill easily, and decreasing damage would be unrealistic (I know that CSGO isn't all about realism, but it tries to hold some). The armor penetration change would be so you can't kill a fully equiped person so easily with a pistol.
CSGO is an arena shooter, not reality simulator. Please don't bring the reality point to an argument about arena shooter videogame.

I never said that CSGO was a 'reality simulator', I stated that "I know that CSGO isn't all about realism, but it tries to hold some" since it has things like high damage multipliers (since guns IRL kill in few shots depending on where is the person shot at) and has in account recoil and varying accuracy.
Also, I don't really think that CSGO can be classified as an 'arena shooter' since most arena shooters (like Quake, Halo, Unreal Tournament, etc.) are more fast paced, allows more verticality and the weapons are more skill based rather than RNG based (meaning that your aim is more important than the random factor of varying accuracy).

i think that the five-seven is even more overpowered then the tec-9, it has the same one tap potential, good damage and armor penetration, run and gun and only 4 bullets less then the tec-9 but its spray is way more controllable compared to the tec9. you can basically spam from any distance and pull down the crosshair you will get a headshot
