Lolol i call her a witch that doesn’t discount my knowledge our ancestors could’ve been witches. It’s strange someone familiar with this realm claims she’s not a witch (or any similar classification)- there’s no benefit to claiming something so blantantly untrue. At least go w the narrative she’s a “good witch”. (Despite that those of us who don’t have our eyes wide shut know is BS). I love these methods - some seem to have their roots in ancient wisdom traditions such as fairy tales - the rice counting is like the sorting tasks in many stories, the slow water drinking is a method I've used in art therapy a lot to help people connect to a body feeling when the body itself has become a frozen, alien 'enemy' unbearably associated with trauma... slow walking we use in eco art therapy - She is for me an important 'lineage bearer' of such methods, helping us in industrialised places to access profoundly simple practices of awareness & connection embedded in our more indigenous ancestry. Very grateful for her very exposing explorations.

Who are you to decide you know an artist's private motive? Who are you to take away the inspiration or comfort or, simply, entertainment from a person who finds value in her work? What you say does not tell the world that Marina Abramovic is a hack. It tells the world you are miserable and are desperate to make others as wretched as yourself.
