Excellent lesson Chris!
So grateful for this lesson Christopher! Phenomenal!
Hey ZZ! Thanks for the kind comment!! 😀 how’s that beautiful new mandolin coming in?
Yesssss, thank you Mr. Henry. I'm due for a deep-dive into staggered 16ths
So welcome bro!! I appreciate your graciousness and smooth linguistic/conceptual adaptability (on the count!) leading by example
Super!
Thanks for clarifying that the first note is just a downstroke. I was playing it wrong. That definitely changes the sound and the feel.
You are so welcome! Thanks for the kindness, Greg! That was a little bit of an afterthought - but thought it might help, cause it’s an east mistake to do, a hit counter-intuitive in a way. Cheers! 😀
Funny, I stumbled on to this on my own when I started an exercise using 16th note doubles on an upstroke but beginning on the offbeat...and realized that it has you crossing strings after a downstroke rather than an upstroke - inside picking as opposed to outside picking.....and the more I listen to Bill Monroe the more I realized that he did this picking......thanks
Glad you are connecting with the technique!!
Good stuff as usual
Thanks Chris!
Very welcome Shane!!
Very interesting, practical use of explaining about arpeggios
Thank you, John!! 😀
If Wyatt continues to practice, he will someday become a decent mandolin player 🤣
Love this video! Youda man.
Thank you Andy! Preciate the kindness and support! 😀🎶
I’m a guitarist, but I’m going to adapt this. Good stuff. 😊
Yessir! Good on ya - and thanks for the kindness!
❤
