If you fix phones, how did you get started?
”Congrats to everyone who is early and who found this comment!"🏆
I'm going to fix my Pixel 5 myself. I'd rather not pay the $300 at the closest phone repair place. Because of you, I know how to fix it for way less than that!
Can you customize a iPhone back glass?
I saw you videos.
Watched your vids and was like huh that looks interesting. Called up my friend who had a broken iPhone 8 he wasn't using and fixed it with a tutorial. Really tested my patience but it was fun. Now I fix friends or family's phones
What an amazing story.

Also PRG once he's done telling the story: "Crunch"
Thanks I couldn't hear what he was saying. Cause am blind af
@@droidmotorola3884 damn get well soon
NO
@@droidmotorola3884 damn bro, my condolences
The story name is “crunch”
Teacher: “and class what’s the answer to this question?”
PRG: “unscrew, open it up”
Must be great sitting next to u in class when u were repairing the phones
ikr
"Unscrew..."
front row seats to every “let’s get that crunch”
@@klayer9990 😂
Open it up
And now teachers come to your store as well!
Good for you bud. I dont fix phones but i fix cars. Got my first truck at 16, headlight housings were super oxidized so i threw on a video on how to change the housings and grille emblem cuz it was super faded and went on from there. Now im a certified technician at a toyota dealership.
That's awesome
I'm currently studying to be a mechanic, i love cars and i always helped my dad fix his cars and sometimes i did some things myself and now i have intership in my school. I also fix electronics sometimes, recently replaced a screen in my mom's phone.
That’s crazy man! Almost the same path I’m on right now, I was 16 and didn’t like my truck headlights so i changed them, which lead me down the rabbit hole of buying aftermarket parts. Made me realize how much I loved them, now I’m going to school for automotive management! I love how others have this common passion for repair.
cell phones are much more a better to fixing ,I service copiers and prtrs my self looking into starting cell phone services
Who else just loves the- *crunch*
mee lol I was fixing an iPhone se and I said "get that crunch" while putting the screen on 😂
That's a great story ❤️
If only I had someone in the class to fix my phone…
have a great day everyone
Thank
Imagine being 14 when the IPhone 6 were coming out… I feel old
Bro i started for the exact same reason 🤣😁
Imagine if he never broke his phone, then we would not have the phone repair guru
It's amazing hearing people's stories on how they started. They're just an average joe who saw a problem and tried solving it their own. I love this guy's content. You're amazing!
I got into tech when I was 8 and I broke my iPod touch 4 screen. I also bought a screen off eBay and did the repair myself and also did my mothers iPod touch 4 screen. Then I started building PC’s when I was 11. 6 years later I’ve built many PC’s and spent a total of 16k on tech. Most recently 5.5k of that was on a ASIC for bitcoin mining and I’m making good money on that
*This is literally doing what you love, it is really inspiring*
When he got the first "crunch" he knew this was his life purpose
Dude! Same thing happened to me! I broke my iPhone 7 screen and selfie camera and figured I’d save some money so I bought a screen and selfie cam from Amazon to fix it myself. The screen I bought turned out to be defective and I ended up fixing the selfie cam but breaking the home button. After that I decided to just get a new phone (iPhone se 2nd gen) because the 7 battery life was terrible and it constantly overheated. I haven’t fixed anyone’s phone yet but I have done a ps4 repair.
The fact that you screenshot the reply after 11 seconds is just amazibg
Great. I started out when I was 13 and was fixing PCs and other devices *for the school* and my teachers were actually impressed. Now I'm in Grade 12, and still doing it.
What was your favourite school subject?
Love ur videos btw. PRG>ASMR
Good question!
@@PhoneRepairGuru Bad answer 😂
Because *crunch*
@@PhoneRepairGuru are you 23 or 25
The teacher isn't a fan until their phone broke
I don't usually fix phones, but I was like 11 when my old Samsung Galaxy Core( I still keep that phone) broke so I tried to remove screen glass and broke it even more and ended up breaking digitizer. Eventually my dad yelled at me (then I ended up replacing the screen for 35 bucks lol).
Nice squid game pfp
This is an amazing story bro✨
Have this same story😂. Broke my iPhone 6s in 2020,ordered the screen and fixed it myself by watching PRG tutorials. Been fixing phones since then😂. Thank you PRG❤️
"And six years later i am doing this full time crunch" 😂😂
Dang man, you started by fixing a iPhone 6 when you were a child, and I still have the iPhone 6s here in 2021. Holds up pretty good I see
Teachers don’t like it when you bring a sponge sponge to class either.
These shorts make my day! 😊
This is really awesome!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What an inspirational story bro!!! 👏
Thanks alot for the subtitles man!
No worries, I think I might keep them up
@@PhoneRepairGuru Please do!
I LITERALLY started the EXACT same!
I got into fixing phones because of YOUR videos!
You were my huge inspiration 🙏🏼
Nice story bro I'm inspired
This video made me a fan of you
he learned more in class about his career than school taught him
Still agree
Keep it up 💪 bro
I did the same exact thing with my iPhone 7, now I’m rockin the assistive touch or whatever as my home button lol
I love this. I actually broke my 6 also, used a water damaged iPhone screen by accident in 2016 (long story), messed up the whole phone. Took it to a repair shop, & they told me for a first timer I did good screen swapwise. Told me to not give up and try again, so I did. I can fix all iphones now but want to learn other phones and laptops now as well!
I’m currently on the beginning of the path. My friend has an iPhone 6 that is no longer turning on, but he has gotten a new phone since then so I’m going to give it to my sister. I removed the battery and accidentally broke the connection but I plugged it in and the lcd lit up, there was an apple logo and some lines (there was no signal at all before opening the phone, it only gave power after I removed the battery and tinkered with the screen a bit). I uploaded 2 shorts on it so y’all can see but I might do fixing phones 4 cheep as a side hustle at some point
This is literally the exact path I’m on right now, broke my iPhone 6 about a year ago, everywhere was charging too much, bought a $16 screen on eBay, now I’m fixing friends phones
Tbh ur a great inspiration
Thats so cool how you started fixing phones!
Tim hortins bro ur a true Canadian
You are my inspiration for this stuff, I am also Canadian and didn’t even know you were aswell
Very interesting story dude!
I'm 14 now and broke my iPhone xr I will soon repair mine just need the money
Hope to be like u one day❤❤
That one guy who made the tutorial:I raised that boy
Bro I NEED that music in the background in my life
i started fixing and sometimes reselling ipods because of you
This story is actually fairly wholesome.
bro that’s exactly how my first repair went
Tim Hortons? Your in Canada like me? That’s epic
I originally fixed computers in like 6th grade but got into phone repair around 9th grade after getting a good amount of broken phones lol.
a lovely little story ❤️❤️
Honestly I literally lived through this too , I started with fixing my iPhone 7 and than fixing friends phones as well and I even fixed a phone during my history class
Great story of success I love it ❤️
I like your story, I just fixed my first phone by watching your videos
Lol I did my first screen repair a couple weeks ago and my home button don’t work either but I have assistive touch so I’m chillling
I started the exact same way, i broke my 6s and i bought a screen and it was the best thing ive ever done, i dont fix phones as much as I used to but im glad that i know how to fix phones
YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE AMAZING PPL IN THE WORLD BRO 🔥🔥🔥🔥
You are a model for us . Great🔥🔥🔥
Such a inspiring story❤
How many fixes do you make a day? How do i send you a phone for repair?
my story is similar. just replaced the battery in my iPhone 6s, and my friend told me her phone battery health was at 65% and I told her I would fix it for her. about to do it soon if she orders the battery, but this semester is almost over so theres not much time left so I'm hoping she ordered the battery already.
My school locker was full of blackberry parts 🤣🤣 repaired a lot of them back in the days
This man said "in grade 12"😂😂😂
Good man fixin phones in timmys
As they say, everything starts and ends in Tim Hortons
100% same story with my own shop now 😆
Bro I did the exact same thing with my iPhone 6+ a few years back, even down to the broken home button and CZcams tutorial 😆
Me tries to fix a phone cracks the new scree
now that scenario from how you start was also the way I have now😅I even fix my mom's phone
Awe. Thats rlly kewl man. I started on iPhone 4s off of ebay then I progressed and made a first sale lol. I haven't continued from there sadly, I want to keep doing it 🥺
Then do it
This is how a legend started
Same thing happened to me, I tried to replace the battery on my OG Pixel when I was 15 and I broke the screen and iFixit was charging too much to replace so I bought a screen online, pulled up a tutorial and went to work
Beautiful story
You're one of the reasons for me to want start repairing phones even though I'm just 12
That one IPhone 6 literally built your entire career man😅
How can he even do recording while hr was working??!! Damn that's good
I started in the repair fun when I had my sidekick and wanted different color buttons and broke the power button. Good times, good times. Think I was around my 13/14. If I remember correctly, I was 8th grade summer before high school
Amazing! Best in business
How do you put on the forbidden cheese? Every time I look at it I'm like "how exactly do you put it on?"
I'm a teacher and if you were in my class, I would've brought costumers to you.
Congrats! 😁 😁 😁
dudeee we are the samee!!!! When I'm 14, I broke my iphone 6 that I bought my own! however i don't have money to replace or to buy new. So what I did was to buy lcd on online shop and repair tools and watch tutorials. Also my curiosity and my hobby of fixing things allowed me to continue repairing gadgets. Now I am a first year college taking BS computer engineering! I also used that talent to earn money my own. Now I am fixing cellphone, laptop and many more!
This hobby also allowed me to have my iphone 11 now 😁
I was 12 when I repaired my screen and it works 2 years later perfekt too :3
He saw the comment a few seconds after the post 😆
Lol when a teacher’s phone breaks…
imagine being this dude's classmate and suddenly your phone stopped working.
I would just go "HEEEY, MAAAN, MY PHONE STOPPED"
Meanwhile me:
*disassembled everything*
*The motherboard missing*
Me: where's that piece of shit
All the years are worth it for the crunches
I wanna get started. What tools would you recommend?
I didn't know you were from Canada until you said Tim Hortons
This guy after his phone broke and everyone's charging too much. "Fine, I'll do it myself"
I too started like this
First repair of mine is iphone 5 of my friend
Now doing job in uk
I'm from India..
Same wavelength man as like as👍🏻
Phone Repair Guru you have inspired me to go into the phone repair business. I have gathered money to buy the necessary tools to begin repairing. Do you have any advice for me starting up?
I recently repaired my friends iPhone se screen. I used a water damaged iPhone 5s screen. It was my first (successful) phone repair.
